Abstract: A wearable electronic fabric comprises a woven fabric formed from a plurality of interlaced threads. The plurality of interlaced threads comprise a plurality of warp threads interlaced with a plurality of weft threads. The woven fabric has a top face and a bottom face. A plurality of conductive threads is included among the plurality of interlaced threads at predetermined intervals and interlacing angles to provide a pattern of connection locations. The connection locations are located at regular intervals on at least one of the top face and the bottom face of the woven fabric.

Abstract: A device comprising a scalpet assembly including a first investing plate and a scalpet array. The scalpet array includes scalpets rotatably coupled to the first investing plate. Each scalpet includes a first thread on a portion of an outside surface, and a distal end configured as a cylindrical scalpel. The device includes a second investing plate comprising apertures corresponding to the scalpet array. Each aperture includes a second thread configured to receive the first thread. The corresponding scalpet is configured to rotate relative to the second thread and move along an axis of the scalpet relative to the second investing plate.

Abstract: A foldable display has multiple layers, including at least a display layer that creates the display that users see when looking at the foldable display and a stiff support layer that provides the display layer with support despite the foldable nature of the display. An adhesive layer binds the display layer to the stiff support layer. The stiff support layer has a stiffness that is at least six times greater than the stiffness of the adhesive layer and at least six times greater than the stiffness of the display layer. Given the foldable nature of the display, there is typically a hinge system below part of the display. In situations in which pressure is applied to the foldable display (e.g., by a user's finger or stylus), the stiffness of the stiff support layer prevents the display from being damaged despite the presence of the hinge system.

Abstract: A lumber stacking and strapping system can provide a single-station solution for both lumber stacking and package strapping. In addition, the package strapping system may apply multiple straps simultaneously to the package. For example, a package stacking and strapping system can provide not only a mechanism for formulating a package of lumber one layer at a time, but also a mechanism for lowering a completed package directly into a compression and strapping station, such as using the lumber stacker package accumulation hoist. The stacking and strapping system can then simultaneously apply strapping around the package in multiple positions along the length of the package, with bottom battens and top corner protectors further supplied and strapped into place as desired. A method for stacking and strapping a package in a single location is also provided.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present technology may provide methods and apparatus for a capacitive sensor configured to detect rain. The capacitive sensor may be integrated within an interior surface of a laminated glass structure comprising an adhesive interlayer disposed between two glass layers. The capacitive sensor electrodes may be arranged in a variety of configurations between the two glass layers. The capacitive sensor may be used with a printed circuit board that is configured to electrically couple to the capacitive sensor electrodes.

Abstract: Examples are disclosed herein that relate to automatically calibrating cameras based on human detection. One example provides a computing system comprising instructions executable to receive image data comprising depth image data and two-dimensional image data of a space from a camera, detect a person in the space via the image data, determine a skeletal representation for the person via the image data, determine over a period of time a plurality of locations at which a reference point of the skeletal representation is on a ground area in the image data, determine a ground plane of the three-dimensional representation based upon the plurality of locations at which the reference point of the skeletal representation is on the ground area in the image data, and track a location of an object within the space relative to the ground plane.

Abstract: A system including one or more processors and one or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing computing instructions configured to run on the one or more processors and perform certain acts. The acts can include obtaining a route for delivering one or more orders in a trailer from a distribution center to physical stores in a sequence of stops. The route can have an associated assignment of stack groups comprising stacks of pallets. The acts also can include determining a load design for the stacks in the trailer based on the sequence of the stops in the route. The acts additionally can include updating the load design using a first simulated annealing to adjust a front-to-rear center-of-gravity of the load design. The acts further can include updating the load design using a second simulated annealing to adjust a side-to-side center-of-gravity of the load design.

In addition, location-derived insights and information reported by the consumers may be used to segment and customize the available incentives and rewards for each consumer. Reward redemption analytics may also be used to evaluate the effectiveness of reward customization.

Abstract: A central shaft power connector for lighted ornaments is disclosed. A central support pole, such as for a Christmas tree is made in two parts joinable with an electrical and mechanical connector which joins the pole parts and simultaneously connects power or other circuits from one part to the other. The connector has two engaging sections and an outrigger platform which locates a connector off to the side of the poles but in alignment. Final alignment is obtained by a key and keyway in the connector parts.

Disclosed methods provide targeted campaigns to a user, such as targeted campaigns to presentation devices based on proximity of user devices near the information devices. Other methods provide targeted campaigns across various applications, while other methods provide for scheduling campaigns to premises device identifiers based on an event schedule, and other methods provide a hierarchal system for monitoring different sets of premises device identifiers when a user device can monitor for a limited number of premises device identifiers at a time.

Abstract: An advertisement system includes an advertising manager that receives a content-event indicator, which indicates playback of an advertisement for viewing on a first display screen at a media-playback device or indicates playback of recorded content that includes advertisements. The advertising manager can determine an optimal time offset as a duration of time before or after playback of an advertisement to the start of an event that is associated with the advertisement for viewing on a second display screen at a mobile device. For recorded content, an optimization schedule is determined that replaces and time-shifts advertisements during playback of the recorded content. The advertising manager can also determine a fulfillment criterion for a product or service based on latency constraints to indicate a duration of time within which fulfillment of the product or service is expected when offered as a second advertisement corresponding to a first advertisement.
