Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for systems and methods to provide illuminated sporting equipment assemblies. An illuminated sporting equipment assembly may include a sporting equipment object such as a game ball and a light cap assembly configured to be secured to the game ball, where the light cap assembly includes a light cap assembly housing configured to secure an integrated circuit stack configured to generate light within the illumination cavity of the sporting equipment object.

Abstract: Composite structures and methods of forming composite structures are provided. The composite structures can include one or more composite structure components. Each composite structure component is formed from a composite panel that includes one or more sheets of material. The sheets of material include a thermoplastic material and a plurality of reinforcing fibers. A composite panel can be formed in three dimensions to form a composite structure component. Multiple composite structure components can be fused to one another to form a composite structure. In addition, each composite structure component and the composite structure formed therefrom can include an aperture. An interior volume can be formed between adjacent composite structure components. Methods for forming a composite structure can include a step of simultaneously molding and fusing composite structure components.

Abstract: A vehicle seating assembly includes a seat, a front leg, a seatback, and a lower leg support. The seat includes a forward end and a rearward end. The seat is configured to be coupled to a support surface. The front leg engages with the support surface. The seatback is rotatably coupled to the seat proximate the rearward end. The lower leg support is directly and rotatably coupled to the seat proximate the forward end. The lower leg support is movable between an extended position and a retracted position. The vehicle seating assembly is movable between a seated position and a reclined-and-raised position. Moving from the seated position toward the reclined-and-raised position includes increasing a first distance between the front leg and the support surface.

Abstract: An underlayment layer is configured to support an artificial turf assembly. The underlayment layer comprises plurality of panels, each panel comprising a core with a top side and a bottom side. The top side has a plurality of top projections. The top projections form top side water drainage channels. The panels have edges, with the edges of one panel abutting the edges of adjacent panels, thereby forming a drainage path between adjacent panels. The panel edges have vertical support extensions that extend into the drainage paths between adjacent panels. The vertical support extensions have an upper surface for supporting an artificial turf assembly overlying the turf underlayment layer, and the panel edges having one or more complementary indentations corresponding to vertical support extensions of adjacent panels. When the panels move toward each other, thereby closing drainage paths between adjacent panels, the vertical support extensions are received in the corresponding indentations.

Abstract: Various embodiments described herein are directed towards authenticating calls by using one or more keys associated with a specific user. In examples, the user is the sender of a call. In various embodiments, when a call is made, an identifying payload is encrypted using a private key associated with the user. The encrypted identifying payload is appended to the call data stream. The identifying payload may be decrypted with a public key. In embodiments, the identifying payload may be verified. In various embodiments, further authentication methods may be performed by using an object such as a contactless card to provide one or more components of the identifying payload and/or keys. In embodiments, a connection may be made between the sender and the intended recipient of a call based on the verification of the identifying payload.

Abstract: Nuclear propulsion fission reactor structure has an active core region including fuel element structures, a reflector with rotatable neutron absorber structures (such as drum absorbers), and a core former conformal mating the outer surface of the fuel element structures to the reflector. Fuel element structures are arranged abutting nearest neighbor fuel element structures in a tri-pitch design. Cladding bodies defining coolant channels are inserted into and joined to lower and upper core plates to from a continuous structure that is a first portion of the containment structure. The body of the fuel element has a structure with a shape corresponding to a mathematically-based periodic solid, such as a triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) in a gyroid structure. The nuclear propulsion fission reactor structure can be incorporated into a nuclear thermal propulsion engine for propulsion applications, such as space propulsion.

Abstract: An augmented lens assembly for use with a light source featuring a main lens component having one or a plurality of light refocusing elements associated with the main lens and arranged along at least one surface of the main lens of the lens assembly that provides for improved uniformity in light distribution and improved illumination. Luminaires featuring one or a plurality of augmented lens assemblies, associated light sources and optionally, baffles, further featuring one or more main lens components having one or more light refocusing elements associated with the main lens portion and arranged along at least one surface of the main lens to provide for improved uniformity in light distribution, improved illumination and aesthetic improvements to the visual appearance of the luminaires when observed in either a lighted or non-lighted condition.

Abstract: An apparatus for performing image searches including a camera, storage devices storing a set of instructions, and a processor coupled to the at least one storage device and the camera. The instructions configure the at least one processor to perform operations including identifying attributes of the captured image using a classification model; identifying first results based on the identified attributes; selecting a subset of first results based on corresponding probability scores, generating a first graphical user interface including interactive icons corresponding to first results in the subset, an input icon, and a first button. The operations may also include receiving a selection of the first button, performing a search to identify second results, and generating a second graphical user interface displaying the second results.

Abstract: A pickup assembly for an agricultural vehicle includes: a rotatable reel; a plurality of tine bars coupled to the reel such that rotation of the reel moves the tine bars through a movement path; at least one tine carried by each of the tine bars; and at least one tine support guide carried by at least one of the tine bars. The at least one tine support guide includes at least one slot that allows deflection of the deflectable section of a tine in a first direction and limits deflection of the deflectable section in a second direction that is opposite the first direction.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided that includes a block including a word line coupled to a plurality of memory cells, and a control circuit coupled to the word line. The control circuit is configured to program the plurality of memory cells by applying program pulses to the word line in a plurality of program loops, determining a first count of a number of the program loops used to complete programming a first subset of the plurality of memory cells to a first programmed state, first comparing the first count to a corresponding first lower limit and a corresponding first upper limit, and determining whether programming the plurality of memory cells has failed based on a result of the first comparing step.

Abstract: The present subject matter discloses an outdoor storage shed utilizing plastic components or panels. A storage shed structure can comprise foldable corner panels, which pivot at integrated folding grooves to serve as corners. Each leaf of a foldable corner panel can be fitted with a unique coupling mechanism to interact with an additional panel. Furthermore, the storage shed structure can come with pre-constructed shelf grooves in the foldable corner panels. Storage shelves can be slotted into these grooves, thereby boosting the overall stability of the storage shed.

Abstract: A system and method for monitoring pH of an intraoral device involves receiving the oral pH data from at least one pH sensor embedded within the intraoral device. The oral pH data is then correlated with one or more user related data to classify the oral pH data into one or more pre-defined categories indicative of a health condition. Further, the machine learning module generates feedback and/or recommendations for the user based on the classification of the oral pH data into one or more pre-defined categories. The oral pH data and/or feedback and/or recommendations are then communicated to the user and/or external device.

Abstract: An electrochemical cell is provided that includes a first electrode, a second electrode, a separating layer that physically separates the first and second electrodes, and a porous layer disposed between the separating layer and the first electrode. The porous layer includes a porous material having a plurality of pores and a lithiating material that at least partially fills the pores of the plurality. The porous layer can be a continuous coating disposed on a surface of the separating layer opposing the first electrode or a continuous coating disposed on a surface of the first electrode opposing the separating layer. The porous material can include zeolites, aerogels, silicon oxides, porous aluminum oxides, titanium oxides, manganese oxides, and/or magnesium oxides. The lithiating material can include lithium peroxide and can fill between about 30 and about 60% of the pores of the porous material.

Abstract: A method of controlling an axle assembly. The method includes executing a speed synchronization mode and operating a clutch actuator to shift a clutch from a neutral position toward an engaged position. The method may also include executing a low torque synchronization mode when the clutch cannot be shifted from a neutral position to an engaged position within a first predetermined period of time.

Abstract: An arthroplasty system for replacing a natural articular surface on a bone may include an arthroplasty prosthesis and a bone anchoring component. The arthroplasty prosthesis may include a joint-facing side having an articular surface and a bone-facing side having a first adjustable attachment feature. The bone anchoring component may include a bone engagement surface securable to a resected surface of the bone and a second adjustable attachment feature. The first adjustable attachment feature may be configured to movably mate with the second adjustable attachment feature to movably couple the bone anchoring component to the bone-facing side of the arthroplasty prosthesis.

Abstract: A remote control device may be configured to be mounted over the toggle actuator of a light switch and to control a load control device. The remote control device may include a mounting assembly and a control unit that is removably attachable to the mounting assembly. The mounting assembly may include a release tab that is configured to be operated from a locking position in which the control unit is secured to the mounting assembly, to a release position in which the control unit may be detached from the mounting assembly. The mounting assembly may include a clamp that is configured to engage with the toggle actuator of a mechanical switch to which the remote control device is mounted.

Abstract: The construction of a medical device having a disposable element is disclosed. Detachable elements comprising a body having a retention feature, an electrical contactor, and sensors are also disclosed. Further disclosed are detachable elements comprising a body having a hole and a retention pocket, an electrical contactor, and a printed circuit board assembly (PCB) in contact with the innermost surface of the body that forms the retention pocket. Further disclosed are detachable elements comprising a body having an opening and a printed film comprising conductive elements, where the conductive elements comprise a sensor configured to be aligned with the opening to expose the sensor. Further disclosed are reusable components having matching retention features.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a method receives a list of ranked entities for playback. The list of ranked entities being ranked in a first order based on information for a user account. At least a portion of the list of ranked entities is used to determine corresponding channels that are playing the at least the portion of the list of ranked entities. The method rearranges the channels of an electronic programming guide from a sequence to a second order based on the first order for the at least the portion of the list of ranked entities. The channels are displayed in the electronic programming guide based on the second order.

Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting a subtype of a disease state and for determining the development of a resistance mechanism in a disease are disclosed. One method may include: receiving, at an input component of the system, a set of sequence reads associated with a nucleic acid sample; generating, using a processor of the system and via analysis of the set of sequence reads, methylation data; and analyzing, using the processor, the methylation data to identify the subtype of the disease state. Another method may include: obtaining methylation data from a targeted methylation sequencing assay, applying the methylation data to a trained machine learning model, and receiving an output indicating whether MRD is present in a test subject and/or whether a resistance mechanism has been developed by a disease.
