Abstract: Methods of secure resource authorization for external identities using remote principal objects are performed by systems and devices. An external entity creates a user group and defines entitlements to an owning entity's secure resource as a set of permissions for the group. An immutable access template with the permissions and an access policy for the secure resource are provided to the owning entity for approval. On approval, a remote principal object is created in the owner directory according to the permissions and access policy. A remote principal that is a group member requests access via an interface to the owner domain using external domain credentials. The identity of the remote principal is verified against the remote principal object by a token service. Verification causes generation and issuance of a token, with the enumerated entitlements, to the remote principal interface affecting a redirect for access to the secure resource.

Abstract: Performing object localization inside a cabin of a vehicle is provided. A camera image is received of a cabin of a vehicle by an image sensor at a first location with respect to a plurality of seating zones of a vehicle. Object detection on the camera image is performed to identify one or more objects in the camera image. A machine-learning model trained on images taken at the first location is utilized to place the one or more objects into the seating zones of the vehicle according to a plurality of bounding boxes corresponding to the plurality of seating zones for the first location.

Abstract: A bolt assembly for securing a passive door panel relative to an entryway frame. The bolt assembly has a base to be fixedly mounted relative to the passive door panel, a catch attached to the base with a leaf spring to deflect relative to the base, and a bolt which is able to translate relative to the base between a retracted position and an extended position for securing the passive door panel. The bolt is biased toward the extended position and selectively maintained in the retracted position by the catch.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments of a connector system for releasably connecting together tubes, for example medical tubing, and methods of making and using such a connector system, whereby the connector system includes a female coupler having a first passageway, a male coupler having a second passageway, a catch movably coupled to the female coupler, and a catch-receiving element coupled to the male coupler. The connector system further includes a release element movably coupled to the female coupler, whereby travel of the release element along or over a female coupler outer surface of the female coupler disengages the catch from the catch-receiving element to achieve a disconnected condition of the connector system. Further disclosed herein are embodiments of a connector system for releasably connecting together tubes, whereby the connector system includes at least one valve biased by a valve-biasing member disposed external to or outside of the fluid flow path.

The device also includes a first counterdoped component selected from a group consisting of the first semiconductor and the second semiconductor. The first counterdoped component is counterdoped with one or more counterdopant species that have a polarity opposite to the polarity of the primary dopant included in the first counterdoped component. Additionally, a level of the n-type primary dopant, p-type primary dopant, and the one or more counterdopant is selected to the counterdoped heterojunction provides amplification by a phonon assisted mechanism and the amplification has an onset voltage less than 1 V.

Abstract: Disclosed are improved methods, systems and devices for color night vision that reduce the number of intensifiers and/or decrease noise. In some embodiments, color night vision is provided in system in which multiple spectral bands are maintained, filtered separately, and then recombined in a unique three-lens-filtering setup. An illustrative four-camera night vision system is unique in that its first three cameras separately filter different bands using a subtractive Cyan, Magenta and Yellow (CMY) color filtering-process, while its fourth camera is used to sense either additional IR illuminators or a luminance channel to increase brightness. In some embodiments, the color night vision is implemented to distinguish details of an image in low light. The unique application of the three-lens subtractive CMY filtering allows for better photon scavenging and preservation of important color information.

Abstract: A computer system and computer-implemented techniques for determining and presenting improved seeding rate recommendations for planting seeds in a field are provided. In an embodiment, a computer-implemented method includes receiving digital data representing planting parameters including seed type information and planting row width, and retrieving a set of seeding models based upon the planting parameters, where each of the seeding models includes a regression model defining a relationship between plant yield and seeding rate on a specific field. The method also includes generating an empirical mixture model as a composite distribution of the set of seeding models, generating a seeding rate distribution for the planting parameters based upon the empirical mixture model, and calculating a seeding rate recommendation based on the seed rate distribution. The method then also includes planting plant seeds in the specific field consistent with the seeding rate recommendation.

Abstract: This present invention relates a beverage container carrier comprising a cylindrical vessel receiver for receiving a beverage container, one or more of a tension tab, and one or more of a tension fin. When a beverage container is inserted into the cylindrical vessel receiver it contacts the tension fin. The tension fin and tension tab flex outward creating space within the cylindrical vessel receiver for the beverage container and applying retaining pressure to the beverage container holding it securely within the cylindrical vessel receiver. In exemplary embodiments, the beverage container carrier further comprises a handle slot proximate to the open-top rim for receiving the beverage container handle, and an attachment panel having concealed magnet retention slots. One or more magnets are secured in each of the magnet retention slots and orientated such that the magnets secure the beverage container carrier to ferrous metal objects.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes significant methylation changes in multiple genes and multiple metabolites in body fluid in response to TBI. Gene pathways affected included several known to be involved in neurological and brain function. A large number of good to excellent biomarkers for the detection of TBI was identified. The combination of epigenomic, clinical and metabolomic markers in different combinations overall were highly accurate for the detection of pediatric concussion using Artificial Intelligence-based techniques.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for delivering notifications to a device or accessory based on the context. A host device may be wirelessly coupled to one or more accessories that are available to receive a notification. The host device may analyze a context for transmitting a notification, such as analyzing user attention and accessory state. Analyzing user attention and accessory state may be done by analyzing sensor data, such as audio input, image sensors, proximity sensors, etc. The host device may determine a content type, such as text, e-mail, news, or download, content classification, such as urgent, sensitive, or reminder, and a notification type, such as visual, audio, or haptic. The host device may select at least one of the accessories based on the context. The host device may transmit the notification to the selected accessory.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for sharpening a cutting edge of a cutting tool, such as a kitchen knife. A fixture secures opposing sides of a blade of the cutting tool and includes a main body and hinged first and second clamping jaws each having a clamping end adapted to compressingly engage a respective side of the blade. A guide coupled to the main body has converging support surfaces to contactingly engage a back edge (spine) of the blade opposite the cutting edge to center the blade along a central plane of the fixture. A retraction mechanism establishes a clamping force upon each of the respective sides of the blade via the clamping jaws. Further embodiments include a base assembly adapted to receive the fixture, and a swing arm style abrasive assembly to carry out a sharpening operation upon the cutting edge.
