Abstract: Manually propelled water skis support a person skiing on water. The water ski includes a base having a binding on an upper surface and stationary propulsion structures with uniform height on the bottom surface. The propulsion structures include a rearward facing and vertical propulsion surface and a forward facing and sloped surface such that drag is greater when the water ski is moved rearwardly. The propulsion surface may be arcuate, V-shape, U-shaped, or other shaped in a horizontal plane and may also be circularly concave in a vertical plane. Buoyancy structures may be secured to the upper surface of the base forward and rearward of the binding. Water ski poles including elliptically- or cylindrically-shaped floats at the bottom ends may be used to provide a synergistic increase in waterskiing speed. Straps on the base near the binding may be used to secure the water ski poles to the base in order to form an outrigger.
Abstract: Vehicles, systems and methods for providing articulating two section vehicles with tracks, and a front body attached superstructure with telescopic forklift, for use on all terrain condition applications. The vehicle can include front and rear track assemblies that can tilt up and down while traveling over different ground surfaces. Each of the track assemblies can have rotatable articulating/oscillating track wheels which can traverse different contoured surfaces. The right and left tracks on both the front and rear track assemblies can separately extend outward and inward from underneath the vehicles to add stability to the vehicles. The cab can be raised and lowered to add greater visibility for the operator. Hydraulics can be used for raising and lowering the extendable boom and operator cab, as well as controlling the body articulating hinge, the articulating tracks and the tilting controls for the front track assembly.
Abstract: A security lighting system for a perimeter fence includes a plurality of light fixtures. Each light fixture has a lower end secured to a vertical fence post, an upper end including a low voltage LED for generating light, an extension tube extending from the lower end of the light fixture to the upper end of the light fixture for locating the low voltage LED above top horizontal fence pipes of the perimeter fence, and a light directing element covering the low voltage LED for directing light generated by the low voltage LED in a downward direction toward the ground. Low voltage electrically conductive wiring interconnects the light fixtures to low voltage current provided by a power source. The low voltage electrically conductive wiring is strung along the top horizontal fence pipes and is exposed as it extends horizontally between the light fixtures at the top of said perimeter fence.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for enhanced attention mechanisms. In some implementations, data indicating an input sequence is received. The data is processed using an encoder neural network to generate a sequence of encodings. A series of attention outputs is determined using one or more attender modules. Determining each attention output can include (i) selecting an encoding from the sequence of encodings and (ii) determining attention over a proper subset of the sequence of encodings, where the proper subset of encodings is determined based on a position of the selected encoding in the sequence of encodings. The selections of encodings are also monotonic through the sequence of encodings. An output sequence is generated by processing the attention outputs using a decoder neural network. An output is provided that indicates a language sequence determined from the output sequence.
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for generating secondary content scheduling and product offerings for users of a managed content distribution network, such as a cable, satellite, of HFCu network. In one embodiment, the secondary content comprises advertising content to be distributed across a plurality of content networks carried by the managed content distribution network. A plurality of computerized models (including various simulations) are generated based on various data sources, including historical tuning event data for the managed network's subscribers), and subsequently implemented to structure advertising schedules or campaigns (“bundles”) for each customer in a substantially automated fashion, and that will achieve the desired level of performance specified by the customer, consistent with their budget.

Abstract: A method of fabricating a semiconductor-superconductor hybrid device comprises providing a workpiece comprising a semiconductor component, a layer of a first superconductor material on the semiconductor component, and a layer of a second superconductor material on the first superconductor material, the second superconductor material being different from the first superconductor material; etching the layer of the second superconductor material to expose a portion of the first superconductor material; and oxidising the portion of the first superconductor material to form a passivating layer on the semiconductor. The first superconductor provides energy coupling between the semiconductor and the second superconductor, and the passivating layer protects the semiconductor while allowing electrostatic access thereto. Also provided are a hybrid device, and a method of etching.

The improved ballistic concrete mixture provides an effective barrier for stopping projectiles with a kinetic energy of between about 1.0 kJ (750 foot-pounds) and 20.3 kJ (15,000 foot-pounds) in between about 3 inches and 10 inches such as a fifty-caliber round. The improved ballistic concrete mixture is useful in the erecting of new structures which need ballistics protection or for retrofitting existing structures with ballistics protection.
