Abstract: An exercise monitor and method thereof having: a displacement sensor; a processing unit having a processor, clock, a memory storage device, and instructions for (1) computing a bounce rate using only displacement data and time data, (2) computing upper and lower displacement thresholds using only displacement data, and (3) for computing intensity using only bounce rate (beat frequency) and upper and. lower displacement thresholds. There is a display unit and a wireless connection to a handheld device on which computed information is displayed. Such automatically monitors workout intensity by receiving displacement data from a single displacement sensor and calculating upper and lower displacement thresholds to use to determine both heat frequency and intensity per beat via which intensity over a period may be displayed to a user.

Abstract: A method, computer program, and computer system are provided for video coding. Video data having one or more subpictures is received. Resampling parameters and spatial scalability parameters corresponding to the subpictures are extracted. The resampling and spatial scalability parameters correspond to one or more flags signaled in a parameter set associated with the video data The video data is decoded based on the extracted resampling and spatial scalability parameters.

Abstract: A storage device may be configured to determine data states for a first set of memory cells, of an array of memory cells, that are part of a logical N?1 neighboring word line that is adjacent to a selected word line. The storage device may be further configured to determine a program voltage configuration based on the data states. The storage device may be further configured to determine, using the program voltage configuration, a program operation on the selected word line to iteratively program respective memory cells, of a second set of memory cells that are part of the selected word line. Determining the data states, determining the program voltage configuration, and performing the program operation may be repeated until a program stop condition is satisfied.

Abstract: A communication system provides secure communication between two nodes in a self-organizing network without the need for a centralized security or control device. A first node of the two nodes is provisioned with one or more security profiles, auto-discovers a second node of the two nodes, authenticates the second node based on a security profile of the one or more security profiles, selects a security profile of the one or more security profiles to encrypt a communication session between the two nodes, and encrypts the communication session between the two nodes based on the selected security profile. The second node also is provisioned with the same one or more security profiles, authenticates the first node based on a same security profile as is used to authenticate the second node, and encrypts the communication session based on the same security profile as is used for encryption by the first node.

An apparatus includes processing circuitry that decodes prediction information for a current block in a current picture that is a part of a coded video sequence. The prediction information includes an adaptive color transform (ACT) flag indicating whether ACT is enabled for the current block. The processing circuitry determines whether a transform unit (TU) split is performed on the current block based on a maximum transform size that is determined according to whether the ACT flag indicates the ACT is enabled for the current block. The processing circuitry determines a type of the TU split in response to the TU split being determined to be performed on the current block. The processing circuitry performs the TU split on the current block based on the determined type of the TU split.

Abstract: The disclosed exercise benches comprise a rigid structure having an interior cavity, with portions of the structure covered in a durable exercise friendly fabric and an underlayment of foam for padding. The benches have a generally horizontal base for resting on the floor or ground using anti-skid pads. The base is rectangular with the longer sides each connecting to opposed sides having inclined surfaces providing structural support for a generally horizontal top surface. In one embodiment the top surface may be pivotably connected to enable lifting of the top surface engageable with an adjustable support member located in the cavity to hold the top surface in place in an inclined position. In multiple embodiments fasteners, such as a D-rings are positioned on the sides of the bench for attaching to exercise resistance bands. In one embodiment vertical end walls have an opening with a fabric liner formed inwardly forming an interior fabric for storage.

At least some drive-sense circuits monitor sensor signals on at least some electrodes. A sensor signal includes a drive signal component and a receive signal component. The at least some drive-sense circuits generate the drive signal components of the sensor signals. The receive signal component is a representation of a change in an electrical characteristic of an electrode of the at least some electrodes when a corresponding drive signal component is applied to the electrode. The change in the electrical characteristic of the electrode is indicative of a proximal touch to the touch screen display.
