Abstract: An opener assembly for a data storage component testing system is disclosed. The opener assembly includes an actuator assembly with a first opener actuator and a body having a distal end, a proximal end, a first arm, and a second arm. The first and second arms extend between the proximal end and the distal end and define a spacing at the distal end. The first opener actuator is operatively coupled to the first and second arms and configured to actuate the actuator assembly between a closed position and an opened position.

Abstract: A thermally insulated floor for a trailer includes a layer of parallel support beams. Each support beam is oriented in a direction substantially perpendicular to a forward direction of the trailer. A substantially planar panel of thermally insulating material is disposed on and supported by the layer of parallel support beams. A substantially planar layer of wood is disposed on and supported by the panel of thermally insulating material. The support beams, the panel of thermally insulating material, and the layer of wood are secured together.

Abstract: A vending machine for dispensing both soft-serve ice cream and frozen ice-cream-based beverages to consumers. The machine includes a power management system having a controller, a master relay for controlling power supplied to a first component, slave relays for controlling power supplied to second and third components, and a current sensor for sensing a current draw of the machine. The machine also includes a flavoring plate for providing flavoring to a dispensed ice cream product. The plate includes an orifice for extruding the product, a channel extending around the orifice, two or more ports in fluid communication with the channel, and one or more gates in communication with the channel and the orifice. Each of two or more ports is configured to introduce one of a flavoring fluid or a cleaning fluid to the channel.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system for mitigating a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack. During operation, the system analyzes application layer data in historical traffic to an online system to determine a historical volume of member traffic from an Internet Protocol (IP) address to the online system, wherein the member traffic is generated by members of the online system. Next, the system calculates a rate limit for a set of requests from the IP address to the online system based on the historical volume of member traffic from the IP address. During a DDoS attack, the system outputs the rate limit for use in blocking a subset of the requests from the IP address to the online system.

Abstract: A system for heating, coating, cooling and screening a granular substrate is provided. The system, such as an apparatus for continuous coating granular particles, includes a preheater apparatus for heating granular particles, a rotary drum having an inlet horizontally coupled to the preheater for receiving heated granular particles directly from the fluidized bed preheater, a coating apparatus positioned within the drum for applying a coating to the heated granular particles, and a cooling apparatus positioned horizontally in association with the drum for cooling the granular particles subsequent to coating.

Abstract: Implementations described herein provide for a bone implant having a cylindrical member and an articulating member. The cylindrical member extends along an implant axis from a first end to an opposed second end thereof. The cylindrical member has a void disposed therein extending from the first end towards the second end. The cylindrical member has an interconnected open-pore structure for promoting bone tissue in-growth. The articulating member has an articulating portion and a core portion extending away from the articulating portion. The articulating member is coupled to the cylindrical member such that the core portion extends into the void disposed in the cylindrical member and the articulating portion is positioned adjacent the first surface of the cylindrical member and extends radially outward from the implant axis to cover the first surface of the cylindrical member.

Abstract: Storage management techniques involve determining a set of association degrees associated with a set of storage disks, the set of storage disks forming a set of Redundant Arrays of Independent Disks (RAIDs), and an association degree of the set of association degrees indicating a coupling degree of a pair of storage disks in the set of storage disks, the coupling degree being determined based on a number of RAIDs associated with the pair of storage disks. Such techniques further involve determining a first number of pairs of storage disks, wherein the coupling degree of each pair of storage disks is less than a predetermined coupling threshold; and in response to determining that a ratio of the first number to a total number of pairs of storage disks of the set of storage disks is greater than a predetermined ratio threshold, reorganizing at least one RAID in the set of RAIDs.

Abstract: In some embodiments, the present invention provides certain compositions and methods that may be useful in the treatment and/or prevention of a neurodevelopmental disorder, such as autism or an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). In some such embodiments, compositions are provided that contain at least one fenamate active agent, such as mefenamic acid, or an analogue or derivative thereof. In some embodiments, such compositions may also comprise an additional active agent, such as gabapentin, or an analogue or derivative thereof.

A cushion nose extends between the transverse member and a front portion of the housing assembly. A gas-generating device is deployable in response to a sudden vehicle deceleration to exert a force on the cushion nose to rotate the cushion nose about an axis defined by a transverse member from a first position to a second position.

The remote control device may include a control unit and a base that may be configured to be mounted over a paddle actuator of an installed mechanical switch. The base may include a frame, a biasing member, and/or a ribbon portion. The frame may be configured to secure the remote control device thereto. The frame may define a rear surface that is configured to abut a bezel of the mechanical switch. The biasing member may be configured to engage a rear surface of a faceplate of the mechanical switch. The ribbon portion may be configured to attach the biasing member to the frame. The ribbon portion may be configured to extend through a gap between the bezel and the faceplate.

Abstract: The invention relates to a bone screw system, an implant system and a method of locking a bone screw system into a bore. The bone screw system comprises a bone screw and a washer. The screw comprises a screw head and a screw shaft. The washer comprises a washer bore. A diameter of the washer bore is larger than an outer diameter of the screw shaft. This allows a displacement of the screw shaft within the washer bore. The diameter of the washer bore is smaller than an outer diameter of the screw head. This prevents the screw head from moving through the washer bore. The screw and the washer comprise each an engagement portion for an engagement with each other. At least one of these engagement portions comprises an inclined surface. The inclined surface is configured to force the screw shaft sideward upon screwing in of the screw so that a longitudinal axis of the screw is tilted relative to the axis of the washer bore.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a computer implemented method receives flow data for a network flows. The method extracts a tuple from the flow data and calculates long-term and short-term trends based at least in part on the tuple. The long-term and short-term trends are compared to determine whether a potential network anomaly exists. If a potential network anomaly does exist, the method initiates a heavy hitter detection algorithm. The method forms a low-complexity intermediate stage of processing that enables a high-complexity heavy hitter detection algorithm to execute when heavy hitters are likely to be detected.

Abstract: An agent application executing on a client device retrieves an execute command from a command queue managed by a server and retrieves certificates and configuration settings for establishing a virtual private network (VPN) connection. An enrollment application resident on the client device executes in response to the execute command to modify a network setting of a network interface card (NIC) of the client device and establish a VPN connection with a domain controller located within the corporate domain using the certificate and configuration settings. The enrollment application further transmits a request over the VPN connection to the domain controller to join the corporate domain, wherein a corporate account in a directory service is established for the client device; reverts back to the prior network setting of the NIC and terminates the VPN connection and reboots the client device.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for streaming media content over a network are provided. One exemplary method of assisted streaming of media content over a network involves detecting, by a media player at a client device coupled to the network, a first condition with respect to streaming the media content, and in response to the first condition, requesting, by the media player, a first portion of the media content from a first content delivery source on the network. After requesting the first portion of the media content, the method further comprises detecting, by the media player, a second condition with respect to streaming the media content, and in response to detecting the second condition, requesting, by the media player, a subsequent portion of the media content from a second content delivery source on the network. The first content delivery source transmits the media content using a modified transport layer protocol.

Abstract: A dental hygiene device including a case and a closure. The case includes first and second half-shells hingedly coupled to one another and actuable between open and closed configurations. The closure engages the case when the case is in the closed configuration to thereby secure the case in the closed configuration. The first half-shell may be divided into first and second compartments by a first divider wall. The first divider wall may include first and second notches formed therein and configured to accommodate a toothbrush and a toothpaste container, respectively. The second half-shell may be divided into third and fourth compartments by a second divider wall. Abstract: An apparatus comprising a gangway having a proximal end and a distal end. A cage assembly is connected to the distal end of the gangway. The apparatus further comprises a container spotting system including a camera mounted such that its field of view will show a hatch cover of a container when the hatch cover is in a predetermined location. Video electronics are in electrical communication with the camera. The container spotting system further includes a display device in electrical communication with the video electronics, the display device being operative to show at least a selected portion of the field of view of the camera. The camera may comprise an outdoor dome camera mounted to an underside of the gangway.

Abstract: The present invention provides to a web-based software and hardware system that act together with a user device to capture an audio feed, to easily encode and add meta data to the the audio content using input from studio systems, parse the content based on its type, and to provide the means to incorporate a feed segment produced from the encoded audio feed into a secondary production which is used to provide an indexed archive of audio and on-demand broadcast content, for example, by the creation and publication of pod-casts or on-demand broadcast, which includes ad positions inserted and dynamically served.
