The dummy line is positioned between a first insulating layer and a second insulating layer, and the dummy holes pass through the first insulating layer and the second insulating layer.

Abstract: Nanolattices exhibit attractive mechanical, energy conversion, and optical properties, but it is challenging to fabricate large nanolattices while maintaining the dense regular nanometre features that enable their properties. In this work, we report a crack-free self-assembly approach for fabricating centimetre-scale nickel nanolattices with a feature size of 100 nm and a grain size of 30 nm. The crack-free areas are 20,000 times larger than prior self-assembled nanolattices and contain 1,000 times the number of unit cells as 3D-printed nanolattices. These nickel nanolattices have a 260 MPa tensile strength, which approaches the theoretical strength limit for porous nickel and is 10 times the strength of prior nanolattices. The self-assembly method and porous metal mechanics reported in this work advances the fabrication and applications of high-strength multifunctional porous materials.

Abstract: Described are organic photovoltaic devices comprising an anode; a cathode; and a photoactive organic material in a layer disposed between the anode and the cathode, the energy difference between the triplet energy state (T1) and the singlet energy state (S1) (?EST) in the photoactive organic material is less than about 300 meV; and when the organic photovoltaic device is illuminated with light having an AM1.5 spectrum, the organic photovoltaic device has an open circuit voltage of greater than 0.9 V, a power conversion efficiency of greater than 22%, and an EL external quantum efficiency >5%.

Multiple loads operatively connect to the enclosure at multiple output terminals by multiple cables. The enclosure includes the input terminals and the output terminals and a controller unit. Multiple selection units operatively connect to the controller unit, multiple power converters are connected to multiple connection paths. The selection units connect to at least one of multiple switches connected in the connection paths. Multiple sensor units are operatively attached to the controller unit which is configured to sence multiple parameters in the connection paths. Responsive to the parameters sensed by the sensor units, the selection units select the connection paths between the electrical power sources and the loads.

Abstract: A thermal system for a facility includes a facility fluid circuit, a ground-source heat pump, and an air-source heat pump. The ground-source heat pump and the air-source heat pump each include a fluid circuit connected to the facility fluid circuit in parallel via a common facility heat exchanger. The ground-source heat pump includes a ground-source heat exchanger for transferring heat between a ground-source working fluid and a downhole fluid of a downhole fluid circuit. The air-source heat pump includes an air-source heat exchanger for transferring heat between an air-source working fluid and an ambient air. Heat can be transferred, at the facility heat exchanger, between the facility fluid and one or more of the ground-source working fluid or the air-source working fluid in order to provide thermal heating, cooling, or both to the facility.

Abstract: A method for machine tool motion control which determines a time-optimal motion plan for a hole tapping step preceded by an air cut step. The motion plan for the air cut step is computed so that the tapping tool arrives at the top of the hole to be tapped with the proper axial tapping feed speed and the proper tapping rotational velocity. First, time durations for the air cut step are computed for lateral and axial transit motions and for spindle acceleration under maximum-effort conditions. The longest of the time durations is then used to plan the air cut step, where the time-limiting axis motion is performed at maximum machine effort, and other axes have their motions planned to complete at the same time as the longest-duration axis. The technique is applicable to an air cut step before a tapping step or in between two tapping steps.

Abstract: A system for use with a billiards table may include addressable multicolor LED strips, a controller and a user device. The controller may be configured to send signals through the LED strips to control which one or more pixels are activated and one or more colors of light to be produced by corresponding one or more LEDs for the one or more activated pixels. The user device may communicate with the controller and may implement a program configured to enable a user of the user device to send lighting commands to the controller during gameplay. Abstract: A manufacturing method of high-precision and efficient coupling FA includes: machining circular through-holes on a glass substrate, dividing the glass substrate, and cutting a glass substrate upper surface to obtain an array of V-shaped grooves; peeling a coating layer at an end of each optical fiber, washing and placing them into the array of V-shaped grooves, covering a glass cover to obtain a first intermediate FA; inserting ceramic sleeves into the first intermediate FA to obtain a second intermediate FA; cutting the second intermediate FA to obtain a first FA and a second FA, and grinding and coating; inserting ceramic ferrules into the ceramic sleeves in the first FA, so that an end of the ceramic ferrule is exposed from the first FA, and fixing them; and inserting the end of the ceramic ferrule exposed from the first FA into the second FA for coupling to obtain a finished FA.
