  • Patent number: 12028473
Abstract: A portable multifunction device displays a first widget on a touch screen and detects a first gesture on a settings icon on the first widget. In response to the first gesture, the device displays user-adjustable settings for a plurality of widgets, including settings for the first widget. The device detects one or more additional gestures to change one or more settings for one or more widgets in the plurality of widgets. In response to the additional gestures, the device changes one or more settings for other widgets, including changing one or more settings for a respective widget other than the first widget. Upon detecting a widget selection gesture and a finishing gesture on the touch screen, the device displays a second widget in the plurality of widgets other than the first widget.

  • Patent number: 12028876
Abstract: Systems and methods disclosed herein relate to acknowledgement signaling sent by a user equipment (UE) in response to downlink control information (DCI) received from a base station that schedules the use of multiple physical uplink control channels (multi-PUSCH) or multiple physical downlink control channels (multi-PDSCH). Acknowledgement signaling may inform the base station that DCI scheduling the multi-PUSCH/multi-PDSCH was received (or not), so that the base station may reclaim those scheduled resources in the case that the UE remains unaware of them. Methods for performing this signaling include, e.g., the use of HARQ-ACK codebooks (whether in a semi-static or dynamic manner), and aperiodic sounding reference signals (A-SRS). Embodiments involving such DCI received across multiple component carriers of different serving cells of the UE are contemplated.

  • Patent number: 12028927
Abstract: Techniques, systems, and devices to support user equipment (UE) in an extended discontinuous reception mode are described. A described technique performed by a radio access network (RAN) includes managing UE that is in an extended discontinuous reception mode and in an inactive state; sending a notification message to an access and mobility management function (AMF), the message comprising buffer support information for a user plane function (UPF) to buffer data; receiving a notification request message from the AMF, the notification request message comprising a request to obtain information regarding reachability of the UE; sending a notification response message to control when the UPF provides downlink data to the RAN for transmission to the UE; performing a connection resume procedure with the UE to cause the UE to switch to a connected state from the inactive state; receiving the downlink data; and transmitting the downlink data to the UE.

  • Patent number: 12028105
Abstract: An electronic device may include wireless circuitry with a baseband processor, a transceiver, and an antenna. The transceiver may include a transmit path, a receive path, and a loopback path that couples the transmit path to the receive path. A passive all-pass filter may be interposed on the loopback path. Control circuitry may calibrate I/Q mismatch of the wireless circuitry using the all-pass filter to optimize the radio-frequency performance of the wireless circuitry. Performing I/Q mismatch calibration using the all-pass filter may serve to minimize area consumption in the transceiver, may minimize calibration time, and may allow for calibration over a relatively wide bandwidth.

  • Patent number: 12028075
Abstract: A serial data receiver subsystem included in a computer system may include a data detection circuit, a speed detection circuit, and a receiver circuit that includes multiple subcircuits. The data detection circuit performs a comparison of a reference voltage to the magnitude of signals received via a communication link that encodes a serial data stream consisting of multiple data symbols. Using a result of the comparison, the data detection circuit may activate a signal present indicator indicating the presence of data on the communication link. Once the signal present indicator is active, the speed detection circuit checks the number of transitions to determine a rate at which data is being transmitted. In response to a determination that the rate of the data being transmitted exceeds a threshold value, the receiver circuit activates one or more of the multiple subcircuits.

  • Patent number: 12025721
Abstract: Systems and methods of a wireless communications system using signals not traditionally used for positioning purposes for positioning measurements in both uplink (UL) and downlink (DL) are described herein. A user equipment (UE) may generate a UE capability information message indicating one or more signal types that the LE can process for DL positioning measurements and/or that the UE can send for UL positioning measurements. The one or more signal types so indicated may include signals not traditionally used for positioning measurements. The UE may send, to the base station, the UE capability information message. The wireless communications system may then configure the base station and/or the UE to use such signal types with one or more positioning methods. In some embodiments, the base station may also indicate to the UE a subset of signals of an indicated type which should be processed for DL measurements/sent for UL measurements.

  • Patent number: 12026098
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to updating page pools in the context of cached page pool descriptors. In some embodiments, a processor is configured to assign a set of processing work to a first page pool of memory pages. Page manager circuitry may cache page pool descriptor entries in cache circuitry, where a given page pool descriptor entry indicates a set of pages assigned to a page pool. In response to a determination to grow the first page pool, the processor may communicate a grow list to the page manager circuitry, that identifies a set of memory blocks from the memory to be added to the first page pool. The page manager circuitry may then update a cached page pool descriptor entry for the first page pool to indicate the added memory blocks and generate a signal to inform the processor that the cached page pool descriptor entry is updated.

  • Patent number: 12028077
Abstract: A phase detector circuit for use with a multi-level signaling communication protocol on a serial communication link is disclosed. The phase detector circuit employs multiple phase and logic circuits to detect data state changes between adjacent ones of voltage levels corresponding to different data states in the communication protocol, and generates early/late signals using the detected data state changes. The phase detector circuit statistically filters data state transitions between non-adjacent voltage levels to improve phase locking and reduce recovered clock jitter.
