Abstract: An apparatus includes a first electrical component, a second electrical component, and a brake line. At least part of an electrical connection between the first electrical component and the second electrical component is defined by the brake line. The electrical connection may be a secondary electrical connection for rerouting an electrical path. The brake line may include first and second tubular conductive structures for defining first and second electrical connections. A repeater may be used to retransmit a data signal along the brake line. A nonconductive layer may be disposed on a tubular conductive structure of the brake line. A controller may switch operation of the brake line between an electrical power transmission mode and a data signal transmission mode. A controller may be operable determine a connected state or a disconnected state of the brake using the electrical connection.
Abstract: A method of signaling additional chroma QP offset values that are specific to quantization groups is provided, in which each quantization group explicitly specifies its own set of chroma QP offset values. Alternatively, a table of possible sets of chroma QP offset values is specified in the header area of the picture, and each quantization group uses an index to select an entry from the table for determining its own set of chroma QP offset values. The quantization group specific chroma QP offset values are then used to determine the chroma QP values for blocks within the quantization group in addition to chroma QP offset values already specified for higher levels of the video coding hierarchy.
Abstract: Systems, methods, and circuitries are provided for configuring and indicating channel state information resource signals (CSI-RS) using discovery reference signal (DRS) resources. An example method includes determining discovery reference signal (DRS) resources for use in carrying channel state information reference signals (CSI-RS); generating CSI-RS configuration information that defines at least one CSI-RS using the DRS resources; and signaling the CSI-RS configuration information to a user equipment (UE) device.

Abstract: The subject technology provides visual search systems and methods that can be used to efficiently perform visual searches on an electronic device. The subject technology provides systems and methods for presenting one or more visual indicators corresponding to the searchable portions of digital content. A visual search may include identifying, at an electronic device, an element of interest in an image. A visual indicator for the element of interest may be overlaid on the image at a location corresponding to the element of interest. The visual indicator may be selectable to cause a display of information associated with the element of interest responsive to the selection.

Abstract: A method for decoding a video, according to the present invention, may comprise the steps of: generating an intra block copy (IBC) merge candidate list for a current block; selecting any one of IBC merge candidates included in the IBC merge candidate list; deriving a block vector of the current block on the basis of the selected IBC merge candidate; and obtaining a prediction sample of the current block on the basis of the block vector.
Abstract: A receiver includes an interface, a delay line and circuitry. The interface receives data symbols and a clock signal for strobing the data symbols at selected positions. The delay line produces from the clock signal a middle sampling signal, and early and late sampling signals that respectively precedes and succeeds the middle sampling signal. The circuitry samples the data symbols using the middle, early and late sampling signals to produce early and late error signals. Based on the early and late error signals the delay line delays the middle, early and late sampling signals by separate delay values, so as to track both (i) a phase parameter indicative of a deviation between the middle sampling signal and the selected positions of the data symbols, and (ii) a width parameter indicative of a time duration of the data symbols, and to output the data symbols strobed using the middle sampling signal.
Abstract: An electronic device provides, to a display, data to present a user interface that includes a plurality of user interface objects, and a current focus on a first user interface object. While the display is presenting the user interface, the electronic device receives an input that corresponds to a movement of a contact across on a touch-sensitive surface. The electronic device, in response to receiving the input and in accordance with a determination that a first axis is a dominant axis, moves the current focus along the first axis by a first amount and along the second axis by a second amount. The amount of movement of the current focus along the second axis is reduced to a first non-zero amount by a scaling factor that is based on one or more inputs received prior to receiving the input.

Abstract: A method and system for generating an encrypted and authenticated message for authenticating a first component of an electronic device as the originator of the message are disclosed. The method and system comprise encrypting a block of information based on a key associated with a second component of the electronic device to generate an encrypted block of information; accessing, from a memory of the first component, a previous version of a dynamic unique key, the previous version of the dynamic unique key being at least partially based on a original unique key; generating a current version of the dynamic unique key based on the previous version of the dynamic unique key; generating a message authentication code based on the encrypted block of information and the current version of the first dynamic unique key; and transmitting, to the second component, the encrypted block of information and the message authentication code.
Abstract: Various techniques and circuit implementations for power reduction management in integrated circuits are disclosed. Different sets of power delivery trigger circuits may be coupled to the integrated circuit by wiring or serial communication interfaces. Power reduction responses may be implemented at faster rates utilizing the wired power delivery trigger circuits while slower power reduction response can be implemented utilizing serially connected power delivery trigger circuits. The threshold for power reduction response by wired power delivery trigger circuits may also be closer to a functional failure point of the integrated circuit in order to provide fast response to avoid failure of the integrated circuit.

Abstract: Some embodiments of this disclosure include apparatuses and methods for supporting integrated access and backhaul (IAB) networks. IAB nodes may be configured to broadcast in-raster and off-raster synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) for establishing communications with mobile devices and/or user equipment (UE). The SSBs may provide control resource set (CORESET) data used for establishing a communication channel between a UE and an IAB node. The CORESET data may be configured to support the broadcast of off-raster SSBs in wireless communication systems. In some embodiments, the in-raster SSB and the off-raster SSB may share the same CORESET. In this case, the IAB may modify a bit pattern of configuration table corresponding to the shared CORESET and broadcast the in-raster SSB and the off-raster SSB while including the modified bit pattern.
Abstract: A head-mounted device may have displays that provide images. Waveguides may be used in conveying the images to eye boxes. The waveguides may overlap lenses in a glasses frame or other head-mounted support structure. The waveguides and lenses may be transparent. This allows real-world objects to be viewed from the eye boxes. Infrared-light reflectors may overlap the lenses. Gaze tracking system light sources may supply infrared light that reflects from the infrared-light reflectors to the eye boxes to illuminate a user's eyes. Gaze tracking system cameras capture gaze tracking images of the eyes from the eye boxes to track the user's gaze. Fiducials associated with the infrared-light reflectors may be monitored using the gaze tracking system cameras. This allows components such as the gaze tracking system cameras to be calibrated.

Abstract: A photonics package may include a substrate, a hanging connector, and a fast-axis collimator (“FAC”). The hanging connector is typically affixed to a side of the substrate other than the side through which a light output is emitted. The hanging connector may be L-shaped in cross-section, having a base section and an extended section projecting from the base section. The base section affixes to the substrate while the extended section affixes to the FAC, so that the FAC extends downward along the emitter surface of the substrate; a vertex of the FAC is coplanar with an emitter outputting the light output.
