Abstract: Embodiments of a User Equipment (UE), Generation Node-B (gNB) and methods of communication are disclosed herein. The UE may attempt to decode sidelink synchronization signals (SLSSs) received on component carriers (CCs) of a carrier aggregation. In one configuration, synchronization resources for SLSS transmissions may be aligned across the CCs at subframe boundaries in time, restricted to a portion of the CCs, and restricted to a same sub-frame. The UE may, for multiple CCs, determine a priority level for the CC based on indicators in the SLSSs received on the CC. The UE may select, from the CCs on which one or more SLSSs are decoded, the CC for which the determined priority level is highest. The UE may determine a reference timing for sidelink communication based on the one or more SLSSs received on the selected CC.
Abstract: A device may include a display that display an image frame that is divided into adjustable regions having respective resolutions based on compensated image data. The device may also include image processing circuitry to generate the compensated image data by applying gains that compensate for burn-in related aging of pixels of the display. The gains are based on an aggregation of history updates indicative of estimated amounts of aging associated with pixel utilization. The circuitry may generate a history update by obtaining boundary data indicative of the boundaries between the adjustable regions, determining an estimated amount of aging, and dynamically resampling the estimated amount of aging by resampling a portion of the estimated amount of aging corresponding to an adjustable region by a factor and resampling of a different portion of the estimated amount of aging corresponding to another adjustable region by a different factor based on the boundary data.

Abstract: An electronic device having a touch-screen display detects a first input on the display while displaying a first user interface on the display. In response to detecting the first input on the display, the device enters a flashlight mode. Entering the flashlight mode includes replacing the first user interface with a first flashlight user interface. The first flashlight user interface has a first total lumen output and a first luminance that is substantially uniform over the display. The device determines whether brightness change criteria are met, and in accordance with a determination that the brightness change criteria are met, displays a second flashlight user interface having a second total lumen output greater than the first total lumen output and a second luminance that is substantially uniform over the display.

Abstract: In some implementations, a method includes: while presenting an object via the display device, determining an operation set associated with the object that includes a plurality of input-response pairings, wherein each input-response pairing includes an input type and an associated response; obtaining, via the one or more input devices, a user input directed to the object; and, in response to detecting the user input: mapping the user input to an input-response pairing within the operation set associated with the object; and performing an operation on the object based on the user input and the input-response pairing.
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to channel stalls or deactivations based on the latency of prior operations. In some embodiments, a processor includes a plurality of channel pipelines for a plurality of channels and a plurality of execution pipelines shared by the channel pipelines and configured to perform different types of operations provided by the channel pipelines. First scheduler circuitry may assign threads to channels and second scheduler circuitry may assign an operation from a given channel to a given execution pipeline based on decode of an operation for that channel. Dependency circuitry may, for a first operation that depends on a prior operation that uses one of the execution pipelines, determine, based on status information for the prior operation from the one of the execution pipelines, whether to stall the first operation or to deactivate a thread that includes the first operation from its assigned channel.

Abstract: An electronic device can implement a zero-latency digital assistant by capturing audio input from a microphone and using a first processor to write audio data representing the captured audio input to a memory buffer. In response to detecting a user input while capturing the audio input, the device can determine whether the user input meets a predetermined criteria. If the user input meets the criteria, the device can use a second processor to identify and execute a task based on at least a portion of the contents of the memory buffer.

Abstract: A head-mounted device may have a head-mounted housing. The head-mounted housing may have displays that overlap a user's eyes and/or speakers that provide sound to the user's ears. The head-mounted housing may have transparent lenses that overlap the eyes of the user or may have opaque structures that prevent ambient light from reaching the user's eyes. The head-mounted device may have a geographic location sensor such as a satellite navigation system sensor and may include an orientation sensor such as an inertial measurement unit. The direction of a user's gaze relative to the head mounted device may be measured using an electrooculographic sensor. Electrodes in the electrooculographic sensor may measure signals resulting from the standing potential between the retina and cornea in the eye. Facial expressions and eye blinks may affect the signals detected with the electrodes and can be monitored during operation.
Abstract: User equipment includes one or more antennas, a receiver coupled to the one or more antennas, and processing circuitry coupled to the receiver and configured to cause the user equipment to receive downlink signals at each communication cycle using a predetermined beam in a beam time slot. Based on processed downlink signals and other relevant information the user equipment may determine a desired beam for the next communication cycle. If the desired beam is the same as the predetermined beam, the user equipment may continue using the predetermined beam at the next communication cycle. If the desired beam is different from the predetermined beam, the user equipment may switch to the desired beam at the next communication cycle. In this way, the user equipment may continue tracking a desired beam to maintain reliable data communications with a communication node.

Abstract: An electronic device may have an ambient light sensor for gathering ambient light measurements. The ambient light sensor may include multiple channels for measuring different wavelengths of ambient light. An additional, modified, channel may be formed in the ambient light sensor to measure radio-frequency signals that may interfere with the ambient light measurements due to electromagnetic interference. Alternatively, circuitry separate from the ambient light sensor, such as an antenna, may measure the radio-frequency signals. If the radio-frequency signals exceed a threshold, the ambient light sensor measurements taken in the presence of the radio-frequency signals may be discarded or corrected. If the radio-frequency signals do not exceed a threshold, the ambient light sensor measurements may be kept. Therefore, the ambient light measurements that are kept and relied upon by the electronic device may be free from electromagnetic interference.
