Patent number: 11953967Abstract: A power management subsystem included in a computer system may include a host device and a power circuit group. The power circuit group includes multiple power circuits arranged in a tree-like structure. The resources of the multiple power circuits are mapped to corresponding addresses within a common address space. The host device sends, via a first communication bus, commands to a branch power circuit of the multiple power circuits, which, in turn, relays the commands, using a second communication bus, to corresponding ones of the other power circuits based on respective power resources specified in the commands received from the host device.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 2023Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Shawn Searles, Preethi Damodaran, Ofir Gilad, Michele De Fazio, Inder M. Patent number: 11956609Abstract: A context-aware voice guidance method is provided that interacts with other voice services of a user device. The voice guidance does not provide audible guidance while the user is making a verbal request to any of the voice-activated services. Instead, the voice guidance transcribes its output on the screen while the verbal requests from the user are received. In some embodiments, the voice guidance only provides a short warning sound to get the user's attention while the user is speaking on a phone call or another voice-activated service is providing audible response to the user's inquires. The voice guidance in some embodiments distinguishes between music that can be ducked and spoken words, for example from an audiobook, that the user wants to pause instead of being skipped. The voice guidance ducks music but pauses spoken words of an audio book in order to provide voice guidance to the user.Type: GrantFiled: January 28, 2021Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Jonathan A. Patent number: 11955717Abstract: A radio frequency system package may include waveguides and loading blocks. The loading blocks may include dielectric material having a high dielectric constant between 13 and 20. Additionally, the loading blocks may be made of mold, epoxy, or the like material, and the loading blocks may fit into a region cut out of the waveguides. Moreover, the loading blocks may lower the cut-off frequency for wireless communication otherwise provided by the waveguides without the loading blocks (e.g., 28 GHz). Patent number: 11954288Abstract: In some examples, touch data can include noise. Machine learning techniques, such as gated recurrent units and convolutional neural networks can be used to mitigate noise present in touch data. In some examples, a gated recurrent unit stage and a convolutional neural network stage can be arranged in series, such as by providing the output of the gated recurrent unit as input to the convolutional neural network. The gated recurrent unit can remove noise caused by a first component of the electronic device and the convolutional neural network can remove noise caused by a second component of the electronic device, for example. Thus, together, the gated recurrent unit and the convolutional neural network can remove or substantially reduce the noise in the touch data.Type: GrantFiled: August 19, 2021Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Lichen Wang, Behrooz Shahsavari, Hojjat Seyed Mousavi, Nima Ferdosi, Baboo V. Patent number: 11956375Abstract: A digital letter of approval (DLOA) is used by a subscription manager (SM) server to determine whether a device is compliant with requirements for an application to be provisioned. If the device is compliant, the application is provisioned to the device or to an embedded universal integrated circuit card (eUICC) included in the device. To increase the security of the device DLOA, the device DLOA is linked to the eUICC, in some embodiments. The linkage may be based on one or more platform label fields in the device DLOA. A database is consulted, in some embodiments, to confirm a relationship between the device and the eUICC identified in the device DLOA. In some embodiments, the eUICC signs the device DLOA and the device DLOA with eUICC signature is sent to the SM server. In some embodiments, the device provides a device signature on the DLOA independent of the eUICC.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 2020Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventor: Xiangying Yang
