  • Patent number: 11853140
Abstract: Various techniques and circuit implementations for power reduction management in integrated circuits are disclosed. Specifically, a power manager circuit in an integrated circuit (e.g., a system on a chip) may modify power budgets for various components in the integrated circuit to reduce the amount of power control caused by external signaling that indicates a voltage regulator overload (e.g., a voltage droop).

  • Patent number: 11855834
Abstract: An electronic device includes a traffic redirect module that creates a traffic sink interface that enables data to be sent to it, without generating an error if an underlying physical link does not exist. To send data over a physical link, a processor of the electronic device creates a network interface to connect to another electronic device using a transport connection over the physical link. If the physical link disconnects, then the processor removes the network interface, and the traffic redirect module redirects data to be sent to the other electronic device to use the traffic sink interface, without indicating that the physical link has disconnected. When the physical link reconnects, or a new physical link to the other electronic device is established, the processor creates a new network interface to connect to the other electronic device using the transport connection over the reconnected or new physical link.

  • Patent number: 11856402
Abstract: Techniques for identity-based message integrity protection and verification between a user equipment (UE) and a wireless network entity, include use of signatures derived from identity-based keys. To protect against attacks from rogue network entities before activation of a security context with a network entity, the UE verifies integrity of messages by checking a signature using an identity-based public key PKID derived by the UE based on (i) an identity value (ID) of the network entity and (ii) a separate public key PKPKG of a private key generator (PKG) server. The network entity generates signatures for messages using an identity-based private key SKID obtained from the PKG server, which generates the identity-based private key SKID using (i) the ID value of the network entity and (ii) a private key SKPKG that is known only by the PKG server and corresponds to the public key PKPKG.

  • Patent number: 11852865
Abstract: Configurations for an optical system with phase shifting elements are disclosed. The optical system may include a first waveguide that provides light to a second waveguide, which may be a slab waveguide. A phase shifting element may be disposed on the slab waveguide and may be heated to induce a temperature change in the slab waveguide. By increasing the temperature of the propagation region of the slab waveguide, the index of refraction of the propagation region of the slab waveguide may shift, thus causing the index of refraction of light propagating through the propagation region to shift, thus shifting the phase of the light. This may result in an optical component capable of phase shifting light for reducing coherent noise while being energy efficient and maintaining a small form factor.

  • Patent number: 11852816
Abstract: The display may include a display module and a waveguide. The module may produce first light of first wavelengths during first time periods and may produce second light of second wavelengths during second time periods interleaved with the first time periods. Diffractive gratings or a dichroic wedge may redirect the first light into the waveguide at a first angle and may redirect the second light into the waveguide at a second angle separated from the first angle by a separation angle. The separation angle may be equal to half the angle subtended by the projection of a pixel in the module. The first and second time periods may alternate faster than the response of the human eye. This may configure the first and second image light to collectively provide images at an eye box with an increased effective resolution without increasing the space or power consumed by the display module.

  • Patent number: 11853515
Abstract: Touch screens with ultra-thin stack-ups can provide for a lower profile device, can improve the optical image on the display by reducing the display to cover glass distance, and can reduce the weight of the device. In some examples, the thickness of the touch screen stack-up can be reduced and/or the border region reduced, by removing the flex circuit connection from the stack-up. A flexible substrate can be used to enable routing of touch electrodes to touch circuitry. In some examples including a shield layer, the thickness of the touch screen stack-up can be reduced by routing the shield layer to a shield electrode on the touch sensor panel. The shield layer can then be routed to touch sensing circuitry via the flexible substrate. In some examples, the touch sensor panel or a portion of thereof can be integrated with the polarizer.

  • Patent number: 11853642
Abstract: A method performed by an audio source device. The method obtains an input audio signal and determines a sound output level of a headset based on the input audio signal, a user volume setting, and a sound output sensitivity of the headset. The method determines whether the sound output level is above a threshold. In response to determining that the sound output level is above the threshold, a scalar gain is applied upon the input audio signal to produce an output audio signal for output by the headset.

  • Patent number: 11855975
Abstract: Aspects of subject technology provide systems and methods for generation and distribution of a stable identifier associated with multiple aliases of a user account. The stable identifier may be provided to various electronic devices by a server, responsive to requests associated with communications to those devices from one of the associated aliases. In this way, messaging applications can utilize the stable identifier to merge conversations from a single user having multiple aliases, and secure access to a secure device can be provided to an authorized user, even if the authorized user attempts access from an unauthorized account alias.
