Abstract: An electronic device may be provided with a conductive sidewall. An aperture may be formed in the sidewall. The sidewall may have a cavity that extends from the aperture towards the interior of the device. The cavity may be filled with an injection-molded plastic substrate. A dielectric block having a dielectric constant greater than that of the injection-molded plastic substrate and the antenna layers may be embedded in the injection-molded plastic substrate. The dielectric block may at least partially overlap an antenna. The antenna may convey radio-frequency signals at a frequency greater than 10 GHz through the cavity, the dielectric block, the injection-molded plastic substrate, and the aperture. The dielectric block may increase the effective dielectric constant of the cavity, allowing the antenna to cover relatively low frequencies without increasing the size of the aperture.

Abstract: A memory control circuit coupled to multiple memory ranks may receive read and write requests for a different ranks of the multiple memory ranks. The memory control may allocate write requests to different slots based on the write requests target memory rank, and may adjust the number of slots available for a given memory rank during a write turn to improve write efficiency. The memory control circuit may also determine a number of ranks switches within a read turn based on whether a particular quality-of-service requirement associated with the read requests is being satisfied.

Abstract: The subject disclosure provides systems and methods for providing secure data access for electronic devices. The secure data access can allow processes, such as scripts, at a device to be executed to obtain and process restricted data locally on the device without requesting user authorization for the access and processing. The secure data access can prevent the processes from exporting the data, and/or data derived from the data, from an execution space of the processes, whether locally on the device or externally from the device, without obtaining user authorization for the exportation. In this way, user authorizations can be obtained for securing restricted data, in a way that is efficient for the device, for the processes accessing and processing the data, and for the user.

Abstract: A physical keyboard can be used to collect user input in a typing mode or in a tracking mode. To use a tracking mode, first movement data is detected for a hand of a user in relation to a physical keyboard at a first location. A determination is made that the first movement data is associated with a tracking movement. In response to determining that the movement type is associated with the tracking movement, a tracking mode is initiated. User input is provided based on the movement data and in accordance with the tracking mode. Contact data and non-contact data is used to determine a user intent, and a user instruction is processed based on the user intent.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) communicates with a further UE via a sidelink and communicates with a cell of a network via an uplink. The UE receives a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgement (ACK) timing parameter from the network, generates a sidelink HARQ-ACK codebook based on a signaling exchange with the further UE, wherein the sidelink HARQ-ACK codebook is constructed in decreasing order of one or more physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) transmission slots associated with a configured physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) occasion, and transmits an indication of the sidelink HARQ-ACK codebook to the cell of the network.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to intersection tests for ray tracing in graphics processors. In some embodiments, test circuitry is configured to perform an intersection test based on traversal of an acceleration data structure that includes hierarchically-arranged bounding volumes for a graphics scene, where the test operates on: reduced-precision representations of rays that are quantized versions of initial representations of the rays and reduced-representatives of primitives that are quantized versions of initial representations of the primitives. The test may generate a first result for a first ray and a first primitive that indicates that a line coincident with the first ray definitively intersects the first primitive. The graphics processor may record an intersection for the first ray with the first primitive, based on the first result, without performing an intersection test for the first ray using the initial representation of the first ray and the first primitive.

The wireless communications circuitry may include centimeter and millimeter wave transceiver circuitry and a phased antenna array. A dielectric cover may be formed over the phased antenna array. The phased antenna array may transmit and receive wireless radio-frequency signals through the dielectric cover. The dielectric cover may have first and second opposing surfaces. The second surface may face the phased antenna array and may have a curvature. The curvature of the second surface may include one or more recessed regions of the dielectric cover. The one or more recessed regions of the second surface may serve to maximize and broaden the coverage area for the phased antenna array. The first surface may be conformal to other structures in the electronic device.

Abstract: Devices and associated methods for operating a dual-subscriber identity module (SIM) dual-standby (DSDS) user equipment device (UE) configured with a first SIM and a second SIM. The UE performs communications with a first cellular network using the first SIM and a first radio resource control (RRC) connection, and receives a request to perform a higher priority communication using the second SIM. In response to the request to perform the higher priority communication, the UE transmits a request to the first network to suspend the first RRC connection. After transmission of the request to suspend the first RRC connection, the UE receives a message from the first network to place the first RRC connection in an inactive state, and initiates a timer, wherein the timer is used to determine whether the first RRC connection remains in the inactive state or transitions to an idle state.

The prism may include at least four surfaces, which may fold the light within the prism at least four times to guide the light from the plurality of lenses passing through the prism to the image sensor. The prism may include multiple prisms joined together using an optical cement. The prism may include one or more aperture masks inside the prism to reduce flare.
