Abstract: A method includes obtaining a plurality of sequential images. The method includes identifying a first plurality of pixel sets respectively associated with the plurality of sequential images. Each of the first plurality of pixel sets locates a first object within a corresponding sequential image on a per-pixel basis. The method includes determining a characterization vector of the first object by extracting a corresponding plurality of displayable characteristic values based on the first plurality of pixel sets. Each of the plurality of displayable characteristic values is associated with a corresponding pixel set and a corresponding sequential image. The characterization vector includes a plurality of distinct temporal values respectively associated with the corresponding plurality of displayable characteristic values.

Abstract: Techniques for video exchange are disclosed in which a video source sends redundant copies of video coded at a given presentation time. A decoder may determine, from metadata stored with a first decoded frame, whether other decoded frames have been designated as correlated to the first decoded frame. If so, the decoder may fetch other decoding frames using time indicator values of other decoded frames in metadata stored with the first decoded frame. When other decoded frame(s) are found, the decoder may blend content of the first coded frame and the other decoded frame(s). The decoder may render the blended frame. When one such coded frame is an intra-coded frame, the proposed technique may alleviate beating artifacts by blending recovered data of the intra-coded frame with recovered data of another frame, which may be inter-coded.

Abstract: In general, embodiments are disclosed herein for tracking and allocating graphics hardware resources. In one embodiment, a software and/or firmware process constructs a cross-application command queue utilization table based on one or more specified command queue quality of service (QoS) settings, in order to track the target and current utilization rates of each command queue on the graphics hardware over a given frame and to load work onto the graphics hardware in accordance with the utilization table. Based on the constructed utilization table for a given frame, any command queues that have exceed their respective target utilization value may be moved to an “inactive” status for the duration of the current frame. For any command queues that remain in an “active” status for the current frame, work from those command queues may be loaded on to slots of the appropriate data masters of the graphics hardware in any desired order.

Abstract: Optoelectronic apparatus includes a substrate and an array of light-emitting elements formed on a semiconductor die and mounted on the substrate, wherein the light-emitting elements are driven by separate, respective conductors, which are formed on the substrate. A controller drives the light-emitting elements selectively by applying drive signals to the respective conductors in order to create a pattern. One or more optical elements are mounted so as to receive light emitted from the array of light-emitting elements and include at least one diffractive optical element (DOE) configured to project the received light from the first optical element so as to create multiple replicas of the pattern, which fan out over a predefined angular range.
Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and one or more computer-readable media (CRM) storing instructions for the triggering of a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) by user equipment (UE) in a wireless cellular network. The UE measures a downlink reference signal. The UE also determines a condition for triggering a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) is satisfied based on the downlink reference signal. Then, the UE transmits a request for a base station of the wireless cellular network to provide the CSI-RS to the UE based on the condition being satisfied.

Abstract: Some embodiments of this disclosure include systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media for use in a wireless network for balancing time resource allocation between cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) and intelligent transport systems (ITSG5)/dedicated short range communication (DSRC). For example, some embodiments are directed to an electronic device including radio front end circuitry and processor circuitry coupled to the radio front end circuitry. The processor circuitry can be configured to monitor, using the radio front end circuitry, a channel for a time period and determine, based on the monitoring the channel, an average channel occupancy level (COL) of the channel over the time period. The processor circuitry can further be configured to compare the average COL to one or more thresholds and change a resource share of long-term evolution (LTE) cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) intervals based on the comparison.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for high-bandwidth stations in a WiFi environment. In embodiments, a bandwidth of communications supported by the access point is divided into multiple frequency segments. In an embodiment, bandwidths up to 320 MHz are supported, which can be subdivided into four frequency segments of 80 MHz each. Different stations park on different frequency segments, whereas the access point has its primary channel located on the first frequency segment. With this configuration, uplink and downlink channel access can be provided to the different stations using a primary channel hopping pattern, which is provided to the stations from the AP. This pattern provides time windows for each frequency segment, during which the stations in that segment are able to freely communicate. Several other aspects of the disclosure further support this configuration and other high-bandwidth configurations.
