Patent number: 12250677Abstract: Systems and methods using control signaling for uplink frequency selective precoding at a user equipment (UE) are disclosed herein. A base station may indicate a transmission rank indicator (TRI), a wideband transmission precoder matrix indicator (TPMI), and one or more subband TPMI(s) to the UE. The base station may indicate, to the UE, whether to use the wideband TPMI or a subband TPMI to precode a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission from the UE to the base station. The UE then precodes (and transmits) the PUSCH accordingly. Methods of UE application of the indicated subband TPMI(s) to subbands of the bandwidth in which a PUSCH may be transmitted are described. Methods accounting for a UE capability as to non-coherent, partial-coherent, and/or coherent precoding are described. Methods of assigning TPMI(s) to subbands in view of multiple transmission reception point (TRP) use by the UE for UE transmission are described.Type: GrantFiled: July 12, 2022Date of Patent: March 11, 2025Assignee: APPLE INC.Inventors: Yushu Zhang, Chunhai Yao, Chunxuan Ye, Dawei Zhang, Haitong Sun, Hong He, Seyed Ali Akbar Fakoorian, Wei Zeng, Weidong Yang

Publication number: 20250076672Abstract: Fiducial patterns that produce 2D Barker code-like diffraction patterns at a camera sensor are etched or otherwise provided on a cover glass in front of a camera. 2D Barker code kernels, when cross-correlated with the diffraction patterns captured in images by the camera, provide sharp cross-correlation peaks. Misalignment of the cover glass with respect to the camera can be derived by detecting shifts in the location of the detected peaks with respect to calibrated locations. Devices that include multiple cameras behind a cover glass with one or more fiducials on the cover glass in front of each camera are also described. The diffraction patterns caused by the fiducials at the various cameras may be analyzed to detect movement or distortion of the cover glass in multiple degrees of freedom.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 19, 2024Publication date: March 6, 2025Applicant: Apple Inc.Inventors: Tushar Gupta, Aleksandr M. Patent number: 12245177Abstract: Some aspects of this disclosure relate to apparatuses and methods for implementing downlink transmission and interlace uplink transmission. For example, some aspects of this disclosure relate to a base station including a transceiver configured to communicate over a wireless network with a user equipment (UE) and a processor communicatively coupled to the transceiver. Patent number: 12242695Abstract: In some examples, an electronic device including a touch screen can sense a stylus proximate to the touch screen. For example, the user can draw or write with the stylus to create a simulated drawing or simulated handwriting displayed on the touch screen. In some examples, the electronic device can sense a series of “points” corresponding to the location of the stylus over time while the drawing/writing input was provided. In some situations, noise in the stylus data can cause the electronic device not to sense one or more noisy points included in the drawing or handwriting input. In some examples, the electronic device can interpolate the noisy points based on sensed points before and/or after the time of the skipped points.Type: GrantFiled: September 6, 2023Date of Patent: March 4, 2025Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Thomas Deselaers, Peder Blekken, Francisco Alvaro Munoz, Ryan S. Patent number: 12244546Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein relate to improving an available bandwidth for a transceiver of an electronic device and to reducing a footprint of an associated integrated circuit of the electronic device. To do so, an isolation circuit is disposed between a transmit circuit and a receive circuit. The isolation circuit has first and second signal paths. A first portion of the signal propagates along the first signal path and a second portion of the signal propagates along the second signal path. A non-reciprocal phase shifter is disposed on the first signal path to shift a phase of the first portion to match a phase of the second portion and improve isolation between the transmit circuit and the receive circuit. The phase-shifted first portion may be combined with the second portion to reduce or substantially eliminate an insertion loss caused by the isolation circuit.Type: GrantFiled: September 19, 2022Date of Patent: March 4, 2025Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Joonhoi Hur, Harald Pretl, Rastislav Vazny
