  • Patent number: 12241920
Abstract: An integrated circuit can include frequency monitoring circuitry. The frequency monitoring circuitry may include a voltage based frequency monitoring circuit for monitoring an input clock signal having an input clock frequency within a first set of frequencies and a coarse frequency monitoring circuit for monitoring an input clock signal having an input clock frequency within a second set of frequencies different than the first set of frequencies. The voltage based frequency monitoring circuit can be configured to generate an output voltage having a first value when the input clock frequency is greater than a reference frequency and having a second value when the input clock frequency is less than the reference frequency. The coarse frequency monitoring circuit can include a reference counter and an input clock counter that generates a count value used to compute the input clock frequency.

  • Patent number: 12242664
Abstract: Implementations of the subject technology provide determining an operating mode of an electronic device based at least in part on whether the electronic device is communicatively coupled to an associated base device. Based on the determined operating mode, the subject technology identifies a set of input modalities for initiating a recording of content within a field of view of the electronic device. The subject technology monitors sensor information generated by at least one sensor included in, or communicatively coupled to, the electronic device. Further, the subject technology initiates the recording of content within the field of view of the electronic device when the monitored sensor information indicates that at least one of the identified set of input modalities has been triggered.

  • Patent number: 12245314
Abstract: Systems and methods for small data transmissions (SDTs) between a user equipment (UE) and a network are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the UE determines whether to perform an SDT procedure by comparing its own mobility state to an SDT mobility state condition provided by the network. The UE may also determine whether to perform the SDT procedure by comparing the size of user plane (UP) data to be sent with the SDT procedure to an SDT mobility-based data amount threshold provided by the network. Upon entering an RRC_INACTIVE state, the UE may start a validity timer relative to any such SDT mobility state condition and/or SDT mobility-based data amount threshold, and invalidate these once the validity timer expires. In some disclosed embodiments, the UE reports its determined mobility state to the network during an SDT procedure so that the network can accordingly select configuration parameters for SDT procedures.

  • Patent number: 12245190
Abstract: Systems and methods of increasing paging opportunities when the unlicensed band is used are described. The gNB sends an RRC message that indicates multiple monitoring occasions in a paging occasion of a paging frame. The UE monitors a monitoring occasion of a PO to determine whether a PDCCH with a P-RNTI has been received in an unlicensed band. If such a PDCCH is received, the UE decodes PDSCH information in the PDCCH to determine whether the P-RNTI is a P-RNTI of the UE. If so, the UE avoids monitoring subsequent monitoring occasions of the PO. If the PDCCH does not contain a P-RNTI, the UE continues to monitor other monitoring occasions within the PO.

  • Patent number: 12245139
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to selecting a Local Management Function (LMF) in a wireless communication network, a next generation Radio Access Network (NG-RAN) acquires a capability from a user equipment (UE), the capability indicating whether the UE is capable of supporting LMF in Radio Access Network (RAN). An access and mobility management function (AMF) is then notified whether the UE is capable of supporting LMF in RAN. An LMF selection is then received from the AMF. Then a response is transmitted to the UE based on the received LMF selection, the response indicating whether a positioning procedure to be carried out by the UE is based on LMF in RAN. In this manner, the capabilities of the UE are taken into consideration when selecting an LMF for a positioning procedure.

  • Patent number: 12242855
Abstract: In an embodiment, a processor includes a buffer in an interface unit. The buffer may be used to accumulate coprocessor instructions to be transmitted to a coprocessor. In an embodiment, the processor issues the coprocessor instructions to the buffer when ready to be issued to the coprocessor. The interface unit may accumulate the coprocessor instructions in the buffer, generating a bundle of instructions. The bundle may be closed based on various predetermined conditions and then the bundle may be transmitted to the coprocessor. If a sequence of coprocessor instructions appears consecutively in a program, the rate at which the instructions are provided to the coprocessor (on average) at least matches the rate at which the coprocessor consumes the instructions, in an embodiment.
