  • Patent number: 12193012
Abstract: An approach for wireless communications to support reduced capability New Radio (NR) with larger available control resource sets (CORESET) bandwidths. Examples include a frequency-hopping CORESET with a predefined hopping pattern configured by higher layers, such as RRC signaling or MAC Control Element (CE) on a per CORESET per UE or purely per UE basis. Frequency hopping patterns for CORESET transmissions include the use of PRBs for CORESETs that are mirrored with respect to the central frequency of active bandwidth part (BWP), and the use of a random parameter to step through the frequency pattern. The sub-band location of the physical downlink shared channel that is scheduled by the physical downlink control channel may be indicated using the DCI format, or may be based on a last slot for PDCCH transmission.

  • Patent number: 12190164
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments relate to controlling sets of graphics work (e.g., kicks) assigned to graphics processor circuitry. In some embodiments, tracking slot circuitry implements entries for multiple tracking slots. Slot manager circuitry may store, using an entry of the tracking slot circuitry, software-specified information for a set of graphics work, where the information includes: type of work, dependencies on other sets of graphics work, and location of data for the set of graphics work. The slot manager circuitry may prefetch, from the location and prior to allocating shader core resources for the set of graphics work, configuration register data for the set of graphics work. Control circuitry may program configuration registers for the set of graphics work using the prefetched data and initiate processing of the set of graphics work by the graphics processor circuitry according to the dependencies. Disclosed techniques may reduce kick-to-kick transition time, in some embodiments.

  • Patent number: 12192698
Abstract: Loudspeakers are described that may reduce comb filtering effects perceived by a listener by either 1) moving transducers closer to a sound reflective surface (e.g., a baseplate, a tabletop or a floor) through vertical (height) or rotational adjustments of the transducers or 2) guiding sound produced by the transducers to be released into the listening area proximate to the reflective surface through the use of horns and openings that are at a prescribed distance from the reflective surface. The reduction of this distance between the reflective surface and the point at which sound emitted by the transducers is released into the listening area may lead to shorter reflected path that reduces comb filtering effects caused by reflected sounds that are delayed relative to the direct sound. Accordingly, the loudspeakers shown and described may be placed on reflective surfaces without severe audio coloration caused by reflected sounds.
