Patent number: 10740527Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for placing cells in an integrated circuit are described. In various embodiments, an integrated circuit is divided into many partitions. In a first set of partitions susceptible to transistor latch-up, the many transistor gate stripes are connected to one of the power rails rather than left floating. The lengths of the transistor gate stripes are shortened for well tap cells in the first partition, but increased in a second partition susceptible for poor signal integrity. Patent number: 10743208Abstract: A base station and mobile device (UE) may coordinate transmission of reference signals and reception of corresponding channel state information (CSI) reports. If a periodic reference signal is scheduled for transmission outside the on-duration period of the UE, even if the reference signal corresponds to a periodic CSI report scheduled to be transmitted by the UE during the on-duration period, the base station may not transmit the periodic reference signal, thereby allowing the UE not to prematurely exit a low-power state. The base station may instead transmit an aperiodic reference signal at a specified point in time later than the scheduled transmission of the periodic reference signal. The UE may receive the aperiodic reference signal and either transmit the periodic CSI report or an aperiodic CSI report in response, depending on how close to the start of the on-duration period the transmission of the periodic CSI report is scheduled.Type: GrantFiled: March 7, 2019Date of Patent: August 11, 2020Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Junsung Lim, Yuchul Kim, Wei Zeng, Wei Zhang, Johnson O. Each display pixel may have six thin-film transistors and one capacitor. One of the six transistors may serve as the drive transistor and may be compensated using the remaining five transistors and the capacitor. One or more on-bias stress operations may be applied before threshold voltage sampling to mitigate first frame dimming. Multiple anode reset and on-bias stress operations may be inserted during vertical blanking periods to reduce flicker and maintain balance and may also be inserted between successive data refreshes to improve first frame performance. Two different emission signals controlling each pixel may be toggled together using a pulse width modulation scheme to help provide darker black levels.Type: GrantFiled: April 9, 2019Date of Patent: August 11, 2020Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Chin-Wei Lin, Shyuan Yang, Chuang Qian, Abbas Jamshidi Roudbari, Ting-Kuo Chang
