Abstract: An gaming system includes a display device, an input device, and a game controller. When the game controller determines that a condition is met, the game controller modifies a plurality of symbols selected for display to include a prize awarding symbol. When the game controller determines that a designated condition is met, the game controller modifies the prize awarding symbol to reveal an award. The game controller evaluates the plurality of symbols to determine an award amount.

Abstract: Innovations in user interface (“UI”) features of an electronic gaming device, and in features of backend processing to implement the UI features, are presented. For example, an electronic gaming machine (“EGM”) can selectively transfer target symbols between multiple windows. Each of the windows uses a set of reels, which spin in the respective windows. When at least a threshold count of target symbols lands for a reel in a window, a stack of target symbols is transferred to a corresponding reel in each of one or more other windows. After target symbols are transferred, a bonus feature, special mode, or other supplemental feature can be triggered depending on the counts of target symbols in the respective windows. As another example, an EGM can selectively start a supplemental feature (such as a bonus feature or special mode) in multiple windows depending on a count of target symbols in the windows, collectively.

Abstract: A gaming device comprises a display, a processor, and a memory storing (i) a plurality of symbol position states, each defining a number of active symbol positions in each of a plurality of columns of symbol positions. Also stored in memory is data defining a plurality of sets of reel strips including a first set of reels strips, wherein each reel strip of the first set has a first stack length defining a number of consecutive reel strip positions containing the same symbol, and a second set of reel strips, wherein each reel strip of the second set of reel strips has a second stack length shorter than the first stack length. In at least a first game instance, the processor selects symbols from the first set of reel strips for display in the plurality of columns of symbol positions of the first symbol state.

Abstract: A method, computer readable medium, and game machine are presented, that provide a skill-based game of a wagering machine with a predetermined return-to-player. The method includes constructing, for each initial game state of a plurality of initial game states, a decision tree that includes a root node, intermediary nodes, leaf nodes, and collective leaf nodes that each represents a class of game states and its expected minimum payout. The method further includes determining, based on the decision tree for each initial game state, an expected minimum payout for the respective initial game state; and generating, for the wagering machine, a table that weights each initial game state of the plurality of initial games states based on its respective expected minimum payout to achieve a desired minimum return-to-player.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are an electronic gaming system with a wireless charger for providing wireless charging of a user's wirelessly chargeable device(s). The electronic gaming system may include a wireless charging status determination system that may measure an aspect of power supplied to the wireless charger by the electronic gaming system and may determine a charging status of the wireless charger from such measurements, thereby allowing determination of charging status of the wireless charger (and, correspondingly, a determination of charge status for a wirelessly chargeable device being charged by wireless charger) by the wireless charging status determination system without requiring any data communication between itself and the wireless charger and/or the wirelessly chargeable device.
