    Abstract: A door handle assembly includes a chassis, first and second trim plates, and a latch assembly. The chassis includes an interior chassis portion and an exterior chassis portion. The interior chassis portion is configured to extend from a first side of a door and includes at least one trim engagement mechanism. The exterior chassis portion is configured to extend from a second side of a door and includes at least one trim engagement mechanism. The first trim plate is configured to removably engage the first trim engagement mechanism, optionally via a trim plate adapter. The second trim plate is configured to removably engage the second trim engagement mechanism, also optionally via a trim plate adapter. The latch assembly extends between the exterior chassis portion and the interior chassis portion. The first trim engagement mechanism and the second trim engagement mechanism are capable of removably engaging with interchangeable trim plates.

    Abstract: A latch assembly is provided where the latch is moveable to open and close a door by operation of a dead lock assembly that blocks or unblocks movement of a bolt. In a blocked state, a blocking cartridge of the dead lock assembly is prevented from inward movement, blocking inward movement of the bolt. Turning a door knob or door handle causes a spindle extending through the dead lock assembly to move locking bars of the dead locking assembly, the locking bars moving further apart to permit the blocking cartridge to slide there between and move inwardly into the latch housing. The bolt can now move inward by force of the doorjamb upon the bolt in order to clear the doorjamb when opening and closing the door.

Selection of the link may direct the user's mobile device to a client application, where an option may be provided for initiating the verification process. The UEC may be communicated to and presented by the lock. The user's device may capture the presented UEC, which may be compared against the UEC generated in association with the link. When validated, the lock may enter the secure enrollment mode, where the user can register an actuation passcode, or the lock may be paired with the mobile device over a short-range wireless connection, which may allow the user to actuate the lock via the client application.

One method of installing an electronic lockset includes mounting a strike plate with a retaining groove on a top portion of the sliding door, attaching a lock assembly behind a rail of the sliding door. The lock assembly including a locking tab coupled to a motor to actuate the locking tab between an extended position and a retracted position. The method further comprising wirelessly connecting a control device to the electronic lockset. Where the control device configured to send actuation commands to the electronic lockset to move the locking tab between the extended position and the retracted position and the strike plate and lock assembly are configured to be installed such that the electronic lockset is in a locked position when the locking tab is in alignment with the retaining groove and is in the extended position.

A plurality of different light codes are displayed on the lockset, each one of the plurality of light codes representative of a different state of fingerprint data capture. A message is transmitted to the mobile device, and corresponds to the light code displayed at the lockset. The completed fingerprint data is stored in association with the user identity of the user in the user entry.
