Abstract: A method of enrolling a user at a biometric lockset is described. The method includes receiving user access information from a mobile device of an administrative user of the biometric lockset. The user access information indicates to the biometric lockset to enter an enrollment mode in which a user identity is associated with fingerprint data in a user entry within a memory of the biometric lockset. A plurality of different light codes are displayed on the lockset, each one of the plurality of light codes representative of a different state of fingerprint data capture. A message is transmitted to the mobile device, and corresponds to the light code displayed at the lockset. The completed fingerprint data is stored in association with the user identity of the user in the user entry.

Abstract: A diverter for a spout includes a housing defining a compartment with an opening and one or more passageways positioned around the compartment to allow passage of a water flow. An actuator extends into the compartment. The actuator is slidable in a first direction from a resting position to a diverting position and is slidable in a second direction from the diverting position to the resting position. The first and second directions are opposite directions parallel to a central axis of the housing. The actuator being configured to block the water flow when in the diverting position.

Abstract: A wireless electromechanical lock with one or more of an internal antenna, touch activation, and/or a light communication device that acts as a user interface. In some embodiments, the lock utilizes an antenna near the exterior face of the lockset, designed inside the metal body of the lockset itself. A light communication device is provided in some embodiments to communicate information, visually, to the user via animations and dynamic displays of light. In some embodiments, the lockset includes a touch activation capability, which can be used to lock/unlock the lock and/or otherwise provide input.

Abstract: An electronic lock, such as a deadbolt, with a locking device movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The lock includes a key fob including a RFID circuit indicative of a valid access code for the locking device. A circuit is provided that is configured to control movement of the locking device between the locked position and the unlocked position. The circuit includes a sensor, such as a contract sensor or a proximity sensor, which detects when a user is within range of a RFID device. When this happens, the sensor is configured to generate an electrical signal, which is used to activate the RFID device for a predetermined period of time. If the RFID device reads a valid access code, the device is unlocked.

Abstract: A pivotable spray head for connection to a faucet for expelling water is described herein. The spray head includes a spray head top portion having an inlet to receive water from the faucet and a spray head bottom portion having an outlet to expel water. The spray head further includes a pivoting joint mechanism structured to pivot the spray head relative to the faucet about a pivot axis.

Abstract: A towel bar includes a retractable and extendable robe hook. The robe hook may be formed in a wall-mounted first base joined by a towel bar to a wall-mounted second base. A shaft may be extended from the base to reveal the robe hook. When extended, the robe hook provides a location from which objects may be hung. When not needed, the robe hook may be pushed into the base and reside within an internal cavity, thereby concealed from view.

Abstract: An electronic lock includes a latch assembly that includes a bolt that is movable between an extended position and a retracted position. The electronic lock includes a keypad for receiving a keypad input event. The electronic lock includes a processing unit being configured to control the movement of the bolt between the extended position and the retracted position responsive to receiving a valid keypad input event. The processing unit is configured to capture the keypad input event. Based at least in part on a characteristic of the keypad input event, the processing unit indicates if a tampering event exists. The characteristic includes at least one of an input location on the keypad, an input duration on the keypad, and an input timestamp.

Abstract: A door lockset for a sliding door includes a latch assembly, a plunger, a plunger retention assembly, and a secondary unlocking feature. The latch assembly has a first end and a second end. The plunger is positioned at least partially within the latch assembly. The plunger is movable between an extended position and a retracted position relative to the second end of the latch assembly. The plunger retention assembly has a first end having a recess, a second end opposing the first end, and an actuation member positioned at least partially within the plunger retention assembly. The plunger is configured to engage the recess in the extended position.

Abstract: A wireless electronic lockset comprising a processing unit, a locking bolt, a motor, a wireless communication tag, and a wireless interface is disclosed. The lockset is capable of connecting to a mobile device via a first communication protocol and/or a second communication protocol. The lockset sends a value to the mobile device via the first communication protocol and receives an actuation command via the second communication protocol if the mobile device has been verified by a server. The actuation command causes the lockset to lock or unlock the door.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for managing secure connection between a mobile device and an Internet of things device, such as an electronic lock. In some instances, a mutual authentication process is performed, and public keys are exchanged. Once keys are exchanged, subsequent communication between the devices may be encrypted using a shared key generated using the exchanged keys.

Abstract: An adapter for either a handle set or a lever set door lever is equipped with a pair of springs to provide a pre-load on the spindle. The pre-load prevents sagging of the lever due to the large mass of the lever. A sleeve in the adapter is formed out of a compressible material that accepts the spindle in a press-fit configuration. This allows for greater manufacturing tolerances while still providing a solid and secure engagement between the spindle and the adapter. As a result, any free play in the lever is eliminated and the lever is maintained in a horizontal, home position when the lever is not in use. Following use through rotation of the lever, the springs promptly return the lever back to the home position while the sleeve prevents any slop or free-play in the lever's motion.

Abstract: A faucet includes a faucet body and a faucet spray head being movable from a retracted position adjacent the faucet body, and an extended position away from the faucet body. In the retracted position, the faucet spray head has at least one aligned position with the faucet body. The faucet includes an alignment coupling. The alignment coupling includes first and second alignment elements connected to the faucet body and the faucet spray head, respectively, to align the spray head with the faucet body. The faucet includes a retention coupling that is configured to retain the faucet body and the faucet spray head immediately adjacent one another. The retention coupling includes first and second retention elements connected to the faucet body and the faucet spray head, respectively. The retention coupling is separate from the alignment coupling, and at least one of the first or second retention elements is a magnet.

Abstract: A door handle assembly includes a chassis, first and second trim plates, and a latch assembly. The chassis includes an interior chassis portion and an exterior chassis portion. The interior chassis portion is configured to extend from a first side of a door and includes at least one trim engagement mechanism. The exterior chassis portion is configured to extend from a second side of a door and includes at least one trim engagement mechanism. The first trim plate is configured to removably engage the first trim engagement mechanism, optionally via a trim plate adapter. The second trim plate is configured to removably engage the second trim engagement mechanism, also optionally via a trim plate adapter. The latch assembly extends between the exterior chassis portion and the interior chassis portion. The first trim engagement mechanism and the second trim engagement mechanism are capable of removably engaging with interchangeable trim plates.

Abstract: A handle set includes a main body that has a handle and a faceplate positioned around the handle, the faceplate having a toggle aperture. The handle set includes a locking mechanism that includes a locking piece that has a locking notch. The locking mechanism includes a toggle positioned within a toggle housing, the toggle being movable relative to the toggle housing. The toggle includes a toggle tail configured to be received into the locking notch. The toggle includes a toggle head removably attached to the toggle tail, the toggle head being at least one of a privacy attachment button and a passage attachment button. At least a portion of the privacy attachment button extends from the toggle aperture and beyond the faceplate. The passage attachment button interfaces with the toggle housing to prevent relative movement between the passage attachment button and the toggle housing.
