Abstract: The present invention includes an apparatus configured for aquaculture, and more specifically for kelp growth and kelp farming. The apparatus includes a vertical central mast connected to horizontal buoyancy bars that are also connected to six vertical vertex struts surrounding the central mast. Buoyancy bars further connect adjacent vertex struts, such that the top profile of the apparatus is a hexagon. The apparatus is able to be connected to and share elements of other similar apparatuses, allowing for ease of aggregation of the apparatuses for scalable farming. The central mast is optionally configured to integrate a wind turbine, which is optionally able to power water pumps in the six vertex struts, which serve to transport water upward around the apparatus for more efficient carbon sequestration by the apparatus.

Abstract: An automated control system for a glider towed by a tug employs a camera mounted on one of the aircraft to view the other (the “target”). An optical recognition system receives images from the camera and determines the relative range and bearing of the target. A controller determines corrections to the flight characteristics of the glider in response to the range and bearing data from the optical recognition system. An interface to the flight controls of the glider maintains the desired flight characteristics of the glider provided by the controller.

Abstract: Stimulation lead includes an elongated lead body having distal and proximal ends and wire conductors extending therebetween. The stimulation lead also includes a lead paddle having a multi-dimensional array of electrodes positioned along a contact side of the lead paddle. The electrodes are electrically coupled to the wire conductors. The lead paddle includes a paddle body and a conductor organizer disposed within the paddle body. The conductor organizer has multiple channels extending along the lead paddle. The channels receive the wire conductors and retain the wire conductors in a designated arrangement with respect to the lead paddle. The conductor organizer has openings to the channels. The wire conductors extend through the openings and are terminated to the respective electrodes.
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for a flexible obturator for use with an access assembly of an intraosseous device are disclosed. The flexible obturator can include elastic properties and relatively low columnar strength, relatively low shear strength, and/or relatively high compressive strength. When the obturator is supported in the needle, the obturator can prevent bone fragments and tissue from blocking the needle lumen. When removed from the needle, the obturator can deform under a force to prevent accidental needle stick injuries. The flexible obturator can define a radially symmetrical profile and can conform to the inner profile of the needle lumen. The flexible obturator can extend beyond a distal tip of the needle and be trimmed flush to a beveled surface of the needle. This simplifies the manufacturing process, allowing a single size obturator to be fitted to multiple sizes of needle.
Abstract: Disclosed is an armored cable assembly which may include a plurality of conductors and a metal sheath disposed over the plurality of conductors. The metal sheath may have a plurality of revolutions extending helically along a lengthwise axis, each of the plurality of revolutions including a first section having a curved profile, a second section extending from the first section, the second section having a planar profile, and a third section extending from the second section. The third section may include a free end angled towards an interior cavity of the metal sheath, the free end extending past a plane defined by a bottom most point of the first section of an adjacent revolution, the plane extending perpendicular to the second section.

Abstract: Network traffic is monitored to coordinate control of data flows. Data flows between sender hosts and a receiver host are identified. A first data flow and a second data flow have respective priorities. Delay thresholds are assigned to the first data flow and second data flow based on their respective priorities. One-way delays of data packets of the first and second data flows are monitored relative to the assigned delay thresholds. Responsive to determining that the one-way delay of the first data flow's data packets exceed a first delay threshold, transmissions of the first data flow's data packets are paused for a first amount of time. Responsive to determining that the one-way delay of the second data flow's data packets exceed a second delay threshold, transmissions of the second data flow's packets are paused for a second amount of time that exceeds the first amount of time.
