Abstract: A system is provided for publishing a disparate live media output stream manifest that includes media segments corresponding to key events. A live production and playout system of disparate sub-systems is synchronized to a reference clock. A timecode from the reference clock is used as a reference time to log content related to key events that occur within the live production and playout system. A live event logging system is synchronized to the reference clock same as the live production and playout system. Based on location of the live event logging system, a time offset is introduced to compensate for a delay. When delay is variable, the reference clock is decoded from a live input stream to associate each key event with a corresponding timecode. Based on a programming schedule comprising the key events that occurred in the live input stream, the disparate live media output stream manifest is published.

Abstract: A method and system for calculating a deficiency analysis that provides a percentage of missing data for an impairment rating based on an observed data set. Comparing an observed data set with an ideal data set based on one or more administrative rule sets for an injury event allows one or more stakeholders within the workers compensation process to obtain a risk score and/or deficiency report for the observed data and the resulting impairment rating. One or more risk scores and/or deficiency reports can be used to track quality and consistency of a clinician and quality and consistency across a medical provider network. After a risk score for an impairment rating is output, the risk score can be uploaded to a historical evaluation database for a percentile creation against other reports of similar body systems.

Abstract: Disclosed examples can relate to obtaining identifications of content (e.g., content recommendations) while keeping at least some interaction data locally private. For a given user and device, content items for which the user may have an affinity can be predicted based on the interactions of the user with other content items. Respective interaction data for respective content items can stay local to the user device by transforming the respective content items into content codes (e.g., determined based on a codebook generated by clustering perceptual values). The affinity for content codes can be transmitted to the server for use in determining identifications of content items to provide to the device.

Abstract: A configurable antenna for a software defined radio including a first antenna unit having a first antenna element for receiving a first electromagnetic signal in a first frequency band wherein the first frequency band corresponds to a first mode of operation of a software defined radio, an interface unit having a first connector to couple the first electromagnetic signal from the first antenna unit and a second connector to couple the first electromagnetic signal to the software defined radio, an enclosure configured to receive the interface unit within an internal cavity, and a retention bracket configured to mechanically retain the interface unit within the enclosure, the retention bracket having at least one hole for allowing the first connector to conductively contact the antenna unit.

Abstract: A method, a system, and a computer program product for managing multimedia streams of user devices. A reproduction of one or more multimedia streams on a first computing device is determined. A location of a second computing device being positioned in an area enclosed by one or more boundaries in a plurality of boundaries is detected. Each boundary in the plurality of boundaries is associated with a predetermined type of a multimedia stream in one or more multimedia streams. At least one of a pausing and an unpausing of the reproduction of one or more multimedia streams on the first computing device based on the detected location of the second computing device is executed.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide imaging polarimeter systems comprising: a polarization modulator system configured to modulate a polarization state of an incident beam at a repetition frequency, and outputting a polarized modulated beam; a polarizer positioned to produce an intensity modulated beam; and a detector system comprising: an optical sensor array; a digital read-out integrated circuit (DROIC); and a polarization state system; wherein the optical sensor array is optically aligned with at least a portion of the beam path such that the intensity modulated beam impinges on the sensor array; wherein the DROIC, for each pixel of the optical sensor array, is configured to separate, over time and within an integration frame rate, sets of photo-generated counts; and wherein the polarization state system is configured to identify a series of polarization states for each pixel based on the sets of photo-generated counts and according to the integration frame rate.

Abstract: A method in a reconfigurable computing system includes receiving a user program for execution on a reconfigurable dataflow computing system, comprising a grid of compute units and grid of memory units interconnected with a switching array. The user program includes multiple tensor-based algebraic expressions that are converted to an intermediate representation comprising one or more logical operations executable via dataflow through compute units. These one or more logical operations are preceded by or followed by a buffer, each buffer corresponding to one or more memory units. The method includes determining whether splitting a selected buffer yields a reduced cost and then splitting the selected buffer, in response to the determining step, to produce first and second buffers. Dataflow through memory units corresponding to the first and second buffers is controlled by one or more memory units within the grid of memory units. Buffer splitting optimization reduces memory unit consumption.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for providing optimization of network resources. The system is operable to monitor the electromagnetic environment, analyze the electromagnetic environment, and extract environmental awareness of the electromagnetic environment. The system extracts the environmental awareness of the electromagnetic environment by including customer goals. The system is operable to use the environmental awareness with the customer goals and/or user defined policies and rules to extract actionable information to help the customer optimize the network resources.

Abstract: Rapidly insertable central catheters (“RICCs”) including catheter assemblies and methods thereof are disclosed. A RICC assembly can include a RICC, an introducer, and a coupling system configured to couple the RICC and the introducer together. A catheter tube of the RICC includes a side aperture in a distal-end portion of the catheter tube, which opens into an introducing lumen extending to a distal end of the RICC. The introducer includes an introducer needle extending through the distal end of the RICC when the RICC assembly is in at least a ready-to-deploy state thereof. The introducer is configured to be actuated with a single finger of a hand while holding a distal-end portion of the introducer between a thumb and another finger or fingers of the hand. The coupling system includes a distal coupler slidably attached to the catheter tube proximal of the side aperture.

Abstract: A system including a module and an egress passageway is described. The module includes a cooling cells, a heat spreader, and a cover including vents therein. The cooling cells are between the heat spreader and the cover. Each of the cooling cells includes a cooling element configured to draw air in through the plurality of vents and drive air out of an aperture between the heat spreader and the cover at a first flow rate. A stream of hot air having been heated by a heat from a heat-generating structure thermally coupled to the heat spreader is thus provided. The hot air passes through the egress passageway toward an egress. The egress passageway includes at least one inlet through which cool air is drawn at a second flow rate to be mixed with the hot air. The second flow rate is greater than the first flow rate.

Abstract: A novel system and method for determining a viewing frustum for a wide angle camera system employs multiple detection sub-systems to detect the presence or occurrence of events and/or objects of interest within the entire captured field of view of the system and processes the results of those detection sub-systems in accordance with a Hierarchy of Interest to select a viewing frustum for providing a de-warped view of interest to a viewer. The Hierarchy of Interest can be predefined, or selected from a set of Hierarchies of Interest and/or can be adaptive is response to feedback from a viewer.

A control handle includes a main body configured to receive first and second bevel gears. The first longitudinal movement wire is coupled to the first bevel gear and the second longitudinal movement wire is coupled to the second bevel gear. A rotatable adjustment knob is engageable with the control handle and has an external geared portion matingly engageable with the first and second bevel gears and the rotatable adjustment knob is moveable between a first and second position.

Abstract: Various techniques are disclosed to provide for detection of temporally anomalous flickering pixels. In one example, a method includes capturing, by a thermal imager of an imaging device, a plurality of thermal images in response to infrared radiation received from a uniform black body, wherein the thermal images comprise a plurality of pixels having associated pixel values. The method also includes determining, for each pixel, a standard deviation of the associated pixel values for the thermal images. The method also includes comparing the standard deviations with a threshold. The method also includes identifying a subset of the pixels as temporally anomalous pixels in response to the comparing. Additional methods, devices, and systems are also provided.

Abstract: An example method of treating a target using particle beam includes directing the particle beam along a path at least part-way through the target, and controlling an energy of the particle beam while the particle beam is directed along the path so that the particle beam treats at least interior portions of the target that are located along the path. While the particle beam is directed along the path, the particle beam delivers a dose of radiation to the target that exceeds one (1) Gray-per-second for a duration of less than five (5) seconds. A treatment plan may be generated to perform the method.
