  • Publication number: 20130242971
Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for receiving coded data signals in a code division multiple access (CDMA) communication system. A method of one embodiment of the invention includes, at step (100), formulating a decision function which estimates a transmitted data signal from a received noisy coded data signal. At step (102), a transmitted CDMA signal is received. The CDMA signal includes a plurality of multiplexed coded data signals from multiple users. At step (104), the CDMA signal is demultiplexed to extract and decode the coded data signals based on the decision function such that interference between the users is substantially reduced. Finally, at step (106), the receiver outputs a plurality of decoded data signals, each corresponding to a single user.

  • Publication number: 20130138413
Abstract: A method of generating model motion data representing the predicted motion of a physical system based on sensed motion data from one or more motion sensors within the physical system. The method generates a stream of model motion data representing the predicted motion of the physical system based on a dynamic motion model of the physical system based on initial estimates of system parameters. The method then optimizes the system parameters of the dynamic motion model based on processing of the streams of model motion data and sensed motion data from one or more motion sensors within the physical system.

  • Publication number: 20130100575
Abstract: The invention provides an electric circuit device including a conductive element configured to provide an electrical input to an electrical component, the resistivity of the conductive element being variable based at least on the extent of deformation thereof, and a deformable body coupled directly or indirectly to, or integral with, the conductive element such that deformation of the body causes the conductive element to deform, thereby varying the resistance thereof and altering the input to the electrical component. Said devices may be used singularly or in combination as logic elements within electrical circuits, providing drive and/or control functionality. Particular embodiments provide improved electrostatic generators.
