  • Patent number: 11228044
Abstract: The invention relates to a bipolar plate (15) for a fuel cell stack (10) comprising a first sealing section (157) on its side (151) as well as a second sealing section (158) on its second side. The sealing sections are designed to sealingly interact in a fuel cell stack (10) with an elastic seal element (16). It is provided that the first and second sealing sections of the bipolar plate (15) are designed asymmetrically in that at least one sealing projection (1571) is formed in the first sealing section (157), and the second sealing section (158) is formed without a sealing projection and/or is substantially flat. When such bipolar plates (15) alternatingly interact with seal elements (6) that are designed flat in a fuel-cell stack (10), an effective stack seal can be achieved with low required contact pressure.

  • Patent number: 11221724
Abstract: A method for controlling a display apparatus comprising a head-up display or a motor vehicle, in which, depending on a signal provided by a sensor device, a height adjustment and/or a rotation of a depiction of a piece of information dependent on the signal is carried out autonomously through a control device. In this case, the signal correlates with a color and/or a brightness of a projection background and/or correlates with a relative movement between the projection background and a projection surface. Through the method, it is possible to ensure an especially good and reliable perceptibility of the depicted piece of information. The invention further relates to a display apparatus for a motor vehicle that is equipped to carry out the method and to a motor vehicle having such a display apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20220006822
Abstract: An approach for monitoring a data transmission system that uses a data transmission means such as a vehicle bus or a vehicle network of a motor vehicle. This system includes a monitoring device that transmits a request message to a transmitting device and to a receiving device. The transmitting device generates a particular transmitter response on the basis of the request message, where the transmitter response is transmitted to the monitoring device. The receiving device generates a particular receiver response on the basis of the request message, where the receiver response is transmitted to the monitoring device. The monitoring device receives the transmitter response and the receiver response and checks compliance with a trigger condition which depends on the transmitter response and the receiver response, the compliance of which indicates an event relevant to monitoring.

  • Publication number: 20220003995
Abstract: A display device that can be worn on the head of a vehicle occupant of a motor vehicle is controlled to display a virtual environment within which the vehicle occupant wearing the display device virtually moves according to a detected movement of the motor vehicle. A potential stopping point of the motor vehicle is determined. A deceleration of the motor vehicle is detected within a given environment of the potential stopping point and the display device is controlled to output a virtual scene staging within the virtual environment which causes a deceleration of the virtual movement of the vehicle occupant within the virtual environment corresponding to the deceleration of the motor vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20220001745
Abstract: A display device includes a flexible screen device and a pivot mechanism. The flexible screen device is movable between a stowed position, in which the flexible screen device is bent along a circular arc and stowed in a housing, and a use position, in which the flexible screen device protrudes at least partially from the housing. The pivot mechanism is configured to move the flexible screen device between the stowed position and the use position, and includes a motor and a pivot arm. The pivot arm is rotatably mounted on a foot region of the flexible screen device so as to be pivotable about an axis of rotation. The pivot arm is configured to receive a torque from the motor to move the foot region along the circular arc. The flexible screen device is thereby alternately pushed into the use position and pulled into the stowed position.

  • Publication number: 20220001823
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for operating a restraint system having at least one airbag, wherein a head position of a vehicle occupant relative to a reference point in the vehicle is continuously defined. The distance between the head of the vehicle occupant and the at least one airbag in the idle state is determined from the defined head position of the vehicle occupant. The determined distance is evaluated by a comparison with stored reference values and at least one triggering size of the at least one airbag is determined on the basis of the comparison. When the restraint system is triggered, triggering signals corresponding to the at least one triggering size are transmitted to the at least one airbag, as well as to a corresponding restraint system for a vehicle.
