  • Patent number: 12085151
Abstract: A drive system comprising a rotatable input disc that receives an input rotational force and rotates about a longitudinal axis, where the input disc comprises driving features formed on its interior face. The drive system also comprises a rotatable output disc that rotates about the longitudinal axis and comprises driving features formed on its interior face, where the output disc provides an output rotational force. The drive system comprises a drive core between the interior face of the input disc and the interior face of the output disc to translate the input rotational force to the output rotational force. As the input disc is rotated by the input rotational force, engaging feature(s) of power disc(s) in the drive core engages the driving features of the input disc causing rotation of each power disc. As the power disc(s) is rotated, the engaging feature(s) of each power disc(s) engages the driving features of the output disc causing rotation of the output disc.

  • Publication number: 20240265553
Abstract: Methods and systems for detecting dynamic objects using a mesh network of nodes coupled to cameras are disclosed. The system can receive sequences of frames captured by a first capture device having a first pose and a second capture device having a second pose, and track objects over time across the first sequence of frames and the second sequence of frames. The system can map the objects to three-dimensional (3D) positions in a 3D coordinate space based on correspondences between the indications of the objects. The system can determine a 3D displacement of a subset of the 3D points, and generate a 3D volume surrounding the subset. The system can use the 3D volume to classify and predict a trajectory for the dynamic object, as well as determine a risk the dynamic object poses to a protected volume in the 3D coordinate space.

  • Patent number: 11997982
Abstract: A sprayer system including a wand, a rotary arm, a motor, a housing, a support, and a controller or control panel. The wand has a nozzle at one end. The rotary arm rotates around a first axle, and is connected at a distal end through a bearing to an opposite end of the wand. The housing covers or encloses a part of the wand, the rotary arm, and a rotatable ring through which the wand passes. The motor drives rotation of the rotary arm. The support mechanically supports the housing. The controller/control panel controls rotation of the rotary arm. The wand, the rotary arm and the ring are configured so that rotation of the rotary arm causes the nozzle to move in a circular, elliptical and/or oval pattern. Methods of making and using the sprayer system and software for controlling the system are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20240140024
Abstract: Methods of creating additive manufactured parts include selectively dispensing, in a shape area according to a layer of a part to be created by additive manufacturing, a second composition onto a top surface of a first composition in a vat, wherein a polymerization component is in the second composition. In some cases, polymerization components for formation of the layer are kept separate from each other until the dispensing. In some cases, a first polymerization component is in the first composition, and a second polymerization component is in the second composition. The top surface is illuminated to expose the first composition and the second composition to light having a polymerization wavelength, thereby causing polymerization of the layer of the part only in the shape area. The dispensing comprises customizing a reaction variable of the polymerization to customize reaction kinetics in different portions of the shape area.

  • Patent number: 11931888
Abstract: A robotic tool has a longitudinal shaft, defining a longitudinal axis when the shaft is in a default, centered position. A lockout rod is moveable between first and second positions. In the first position, the lockout rod allows the longitudinal shaft to move with 360 radial degrees of compliance about the longitudinal axis. In the second position, the lockout rod limits compliance of the longitudinal shaft to only one radial angle from the longitudinal axis. In one embodiment the lockout rod is positioned adjacent (e.g., above or below) part of one ring of a 2-axis concentric ring gimbal. The lockout rod is shaped so as to not contact any part of the gimbal in the first position, allowing compliance in a full 360 radial degrees. In the second position, the lockout rod limits the motion of one ring of the gimbal, limiting compliance of the shaft to motion of the other ring, which is necessarily limited to only one radial angle.
