Abstract: A method for configuration of video stream output from a digital video camera. A digital video camera connected to a communication network, using a first video stream of a scene is produced; a second video stream of the scene is produced; at a client connected to the communication network, the first and second video streams are received and at least one video stream parameter of the first set of video stream parameters is caused to be adjusted such that a bit rate of the first video stream is affected; at the digital video camera, the producing of the first video stream is continuously adjusted based on the caused adjustment of the at least one video stream parameter of the first set of video stream parameters; and on a display of the client, a portion of each frame of the first video stream are continuously displayed.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally a method and device for controlling a camera capable of pan and tilt control, and more specifically a method and device for controlling adjustments of the field of view of such camera.
Abstract: A method, computer program, apparatus, and system for authentication of devices in a network of devices, and more specifically to a challenge-response authentication in which one trusted device presents a question (“challenge”) and another party must provide a valid answer (“response”) to be authenticated. The challenge includes processing data by an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC).
Abstract: A mounting assembly (10) for an electronic device (11) is disclosed. The mounting assembly (10) comprises an attachment part (12), a base (16), and an arm (14). The attachment part (12) is coupled to the arm (14) and the arm (14) is coupled to the base (16) such that the arm (14) is lockingly rotatable relative the base (16) about a rotational axis (18). The arm (14) comprises a housing and a locking member (20) being provided with a locking protrusion (30). The locking member (20) is coupled to the housing such that the locking protrusion (30) is radially displaceable in relation to the rotational axis (18). The base (16) is provided with a set of radially extending locking grooves (22). The locking protrusion (30) is received by one locking groove (22a) in response to a displacement of the locking member (20), whereby the arm (16) is rotationally locked.
Abstract: A method, computer program, computer and system for training a neural network that receives a plurality of input digital images and, for each specific input digital image, outputs data for determining a relevance level of groups of pixels in the specific input digital image.
Abstract: A locking device for locking an image sensor element in a camera, a camera comprising such a locking device, and a method for controlling image stabilization in a camera comprising such a locking device are disclosed. The locking device comprises two locking arrangements which are superimposed such that one or more locking holes of the locking arrangements at least partly overlap each other in pairs so as to form two open sections adapted to each receive a locking protrusion. The locking device is adjustable between a locked mode and an unlocked mode.

Abstract: A method and encoder for video encoding a sequence of frames is provided. The method comprises: receiving a sequence of frames depicting a moving object, predicting a movement of the moving object in the sequence of frames between a first time point and a second time point; defining, on basis of the predicted movement of the moving object, a region of interest (ROI) in the frames which covers the moving object during its entire predicted movement between the first time point and the second time point; and encoding a first frame, corresponding to the first time point, in the ROI and one or more intermediate frames, corresponding to time points being intermediate to the first and the second time point, in at least a subset of the ROI using a common encoding quality pattern defining which encoding quality to use in which portion of the ROI.

Abstract: The present application relates to a camera where a non-wide-angle lens and a wide-angle lens projects images onto different regions of one and the same image sensor. The non-wide-angle lens images a part of a periphery of the wide-angle lens image, and in this way an overview image with an improved quality peripheral region can be achieved.

Abstract: A method performed in a processing unit for finding settings to be used in relation to a sensor unit connected to the processing unit is disclosed. The method comprises inter alia receiving, from the sensor unit, a first identifier identifying a type of the sensor unit, and a second identifier identifying a group of at least one related type of sensor unit. If no settings associated with the first identifier are stored in the processing unit, but settings associated with the second identifier are stored in the processing unit, the processing unit uses the settings associated with the second identifier in relation to the sensor unit.

Abstract: A method for pseudo coloring of a digital single-channel image is disclosed. The method comprises acquiring a single-channel image having an intensity distribution, forming a first channel of a multi-channel image by performing a first histogram equalization of the intensity distribution, forming a second channel of the multi-channel image by performing a second, different, histogram equalization of the intensity distribution, wherein the first channel and the second channel of the multi-channel image represent different components of a color model. An arrangement for providing a pseudo coloring of a digital single-channel image is also disclosed, and a monitoring thermal camera system comprising such an arrangement.
Abstract: A camera control unit, having “learned” how objects typically move in a monitored scene, provides help to an operator by moving a monitoring camera according to representative movement of the objects in the scene. The representative movement may be derived in a learning procedure using object motion analysis.
Abstract: A method for restoring a setting on a network connected device achieves increased security. The method includes receiving an initiation signal representing a request to restore the setting on the device; transmitting a request for authorization to restore the setting to an authorization device arranged as an adjacent node on the network by transmitting the request for authorization over a link layer protocol, wherein the request is transmitted in response to the received initiation signal; receiving an encrypted restore authorization response from the authorization device in response to the request for authorization; decrypting, if encrypted, the received restore authorization message; verifying the restore authorization message; and restoring the settings on the network connected device if the restore authorization message was verified.
Abstract: A method, system, and computer-readable medium for synchronizing video are described. The system captures video data with a camera, the video data including a first video data segment and a second video data segment. When a network between the camera and a hub is insufficient to allow downstream real-time streaming of the video data, the system stores the first video data segment on a first storage. When the network is sufficient to allow downstream real-time streaming of the video data, the system transfers the second video data segment from the camera to the hub, reads the first video data segment from the first storage, and transfers the first video data segment to the hub. The system stores the video data segments onto a second storage such that a non-real-time playback from the second storage shows the first video data segment and the second video data segment in sequence.
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to auto focus algorithms for setting a focus of a camera. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method (600) and device for setting a focus of a camera wherein a camera motion level of the camera is continuously measured (S604) during the read-out of pixel data by a rolling shutter image sensor and wherein the auto focus algorithm uses weighted focus measures which are calculated (S612) using the continuously measured camera motion levels.
