  • Patent number: 10462877
Abstract: The present invention is related to verifying an installed lighting system (300), in particular an Ethernet-based lighting system (300), without it being necessary to employ a designated lighting controller and allowing the automatic commissioning of the installed lighting system (300). According to an aspect of the invention, this is achieved by providing a network switch (200) that comprises a plurality of ports for coupling luminaires (312A, 312B, 312C, 312D) and sensors and or actuators (314A, 314B) of the lighting system (300) to the network switch (200); and by setting the network switch (200) such that a signal received at a first port (e.g. port 4) of the plurality of ports is only forwarded to pre-selected ports (e.g. ports 2,3,5,6 and 7) of the plurality of ports.

  • Patent number: 10460932
Abstract: Amorphous silicon-filled gaps may be formed having no or a low occurrence of voids in the amorphous silicon fill, while maintaining a smooth exposed silicon surface. A gap in a substrate may be filled with amorphous silicon by heating the substrate to a deposition temperature between 300 and 500° C. and providing a feed gas that comprises a first silicon reactant to deposit an amorphous silicon film into the gap with an hydrogen concentration between 0.1 and 10 at. %. The deposited silicon film may subsequently be annealed. After the anneal, any voids may be reduced in size and this reduction in size may occur to such an extent that the voids may be eliminated.

  • Patent number: 10457633
Abstract: Disclosed is a novel method of controlling the formation of biuret in urea production. This is accomplished by reducing or preventing the formation of biuret in a concentration section, particularly in one or more concentrators or evaporators. The method comprises controlling the residence time of a urea aqueous stream treated in such concentration section in a manner independently of the volume flow per time interval of said stream into said concentration section. The residence time can be controlled, e.g., by providing the concentration section with an adjustable volume or by adding a gas to the urea stream to be treated. A combination of such measures can also be applied.

  • Patent number: 10458804
Abstract: Data indicative of a plurality of duration times is obtained, each duration time relating to a dynamic POI of a set of a plurality of dynamic POIs that have a similar location, and are of similar type. Each duration time is in respect of a given time. The data indicative of each duration time is representative of a difference between a time at which the dynamic POI was in an active state and a time at which the dynamic POI was in an inactive state. The obtained duration time data and the associated time data are used to obtain a duration time function indicative of a variation in duration time with respect to time. The duration time function is associated with data indicative of a given geographic location.

The print element includes a piezo transducer for converting the electric waveform in a mechanical displacement. The electric waveform is tunable for an individual print element. The circuit includes a common waveform generator that is connected to the piezo transducer through a first print data dependent switch for providing an electric waveform independent of the print element. The circuit further includes a waveform tuning part, dependent on the print element and the print data, for controlling a second switch that adds electric energy from a voltage source to the electric waveform. The switches are operable in either a saturation state or a blocking state to limit an amount of dissipation in the switches.

  • Patent number: 10461857
Abstract: An apparatus, method and program for receiving a coded light signal comprising a periodically repeating message repeating with a message period. A portion of the message is received in each of a plurality of frames captured by a rolling-shutter camera, with different portions being received in different frames. Using each of a discrete group of trial values of the message period, the respective trial value is used to reconstruct a respective first version of the message from the portions received in a first subset of said frames, and to reconstruct a respective second version of the message from the portions received in a second subset of said frames. For each of the trial values, there is generate a respective value of a measure of similarity between the respective reconstructed first and second versions of the message. An estimate of the message period is determined based on this.

  • Patent number: 10456798
Abstract: In exemplary embodiments of the present invention, Flair® based aerosol-type devices can be provided. Such devices utilize a combination of Flair® technology, pre-compression valves and aerosol like pressurization of the dispensed liquid. Such a dispensing device has a main body comprising a pressure chamber, the latter being provided with a pressure piston and a pressure spring. The device further has a piston and a piston chamber which draws liquid from a reservoir and fills the pressure chamber with that liquid as a user operates the trigger in various compression and release strokes. The piston chamber has both an inlet valve and an outlet valve. In a dispensing head a valve is provided to regulate the strength of the flow and preclude leakage. Once the liquid is sufficiently pressurized, it can be dispensed by a user opening an activation valve, such as by pressing on an activation button, and spray can be abruptly stopped by a user ceasing to push on such button.
