Abstract: A perpendicular magnetic read head having a balanced capacitive coupling with the substrate. Abstract: A perpendicular write head having a wrap around shield and a conformal side gap. In fabricating the write head, the leading edge shield may be chemical mechanical polished down to a level that is substantially even with a chemical mechanical polishing stop layer. Because the leading edge shield and the chemical mechanical polishing stop layer are used as RIE stop for trench RIE, a fully conformal side shield may be formed with a LTE/LES.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a high-frequency magnetic field-assisted magnetic recording head includes a main pole adapted for producing a writing magnetic field, a STO positioned above the main pole, a low-resistance layer positioned above the STO, and a current confinement layer positioned between the low-resistance layer and the main pole, wherein the main pole and the low-resistance layer are adapted for acting as poles for writing data to a magnetic medium in response to a flow of current to the STO positioned therebetween to generate a high-frequency magnetic field which overlaps with the writing magnetic field, and wherein the current confinement layer is adapted for controlling a current density and/or a current density distribution of the current flowing to the STO. Other magnetic recording heads and methods of production thereof are also described according to more embodiments.

Abstract: A wheel axle suspension for suspending an axle body of a wheel axle from a vehicle, comprises on both sides of the vehicle a trailing arm which extends in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The axle body is attached to the trailing arms. The trailing arms are each hingedly connected at the front in the direction of travel of the vehicle to a bearing bracket which is arranged on the vehicle chassis. The wheel axle suspension furthermore comprises a pneumatic spring which is operational between the trailing arm and the chassis. A pneumatic spring support arm is provided, which is coupled to the axle body for supporting an underside of the pneumatic spring. The foregoing filter device is able to remove noise from an input signal.
Abstract: A magnetic head according to one embodiment includes an array of sensor structures formed on a common substrate. Each sensor structure further comprises: a magnetic tunnel junction sensor spaced from a media-facing surface of the head; and a flux guide between the media-facing surface of the head and the sensor, the flux guide guiding magnetic flux from a magnetic medium adjacent the media-facing surface to the sensor. Abstract: A collapsible freight container includes a floor panel, a roof panel and two longitudinal side walls connected to the floor panel and the roof panel. Abstract: An electron multiplying structure for use in a vacuum tube using electron multiplying comprises an input face to be oriented in a facing relationship with an entrance window of the vacuum tube, an output face to be oriented in a facing relationship with a detection surface of the vacuum tube, as well as an ion barrier membrane for shielding off stray ions. The vacuum tube uses electron multiplying having a photocathode capable of releasing electrons into the vacuum chamber when exposed to light, electric field device for accelerating the released electrons from the photocathode towards an anode spaced apart from the photocathode in a facing relationship, as well as an electron multiplying structure. An ion barrier membrane is used in a vacuum tube and/or an electron multiplying structure. The ion barrier membrane is composed of at least one atomic layer containing graphene.
