Abstract: The present invention relates to a reusable print medium comprising a substrate and a sacrificial layer. The sacrificial layer contains a hotmelt composition at least comprising an amorphous material. The amorphous material is a resin being a reaction product of a first monomer A, said first monomer A being a polyhydroxyl alcohol comprising X hydroxyl functional groups, wherein X?2, monomer A optionally comprises a primary or secondary amine functionality; a second monomer B, being an aromatic monocarboxylic acid; a third monomer C, said third monomer C being able to form an ester linkage with an alcohol and/or an amide linkage with a primary or secondary amine; and optionally, a fourth monomer D, being an aromatic monocarboxylic acid different from the second monomer B. The sacrificial layer including the printed image may be removed from the substrate by applying heat. A new sacrificial layer may be applied such that the reusable print medium is ready to be reused.

Abstract: An inspection method, and corresponding apparatus, enables classification of pupil images according to a process variable. The method comprises acquiring diffraction pupil images of a plurality of structures formed on a substrate during a lithographic process. A process variable of the lithographic process varies between formation of the structures, the variation of the process variable resulting in a variation in the diffraction pupil images. The method further comprises determining at least one discriminant function for the diffraction pupil images, the discriminant function being able to classify the pupil images in terms of the process variable.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a magnetic sensor that includes depositing a plurality of mask layers, then forming a stripe height defining mask over the sensor layers. A first ion milling is performed just sufficiently to remove portions of the free layer that are not protected by the stripe height defining mask, the first ion milling being terminated at the non-magnetic barrier or spacer layer. A dielectric layer is then deposited, preferably by ion beam deposition. A second ion milling is then performed to remove portions of the pinned layer structure that are not protected by the mask, the free layer being protected during the second ion milling by the dielectric layer.

The mobile terminated message service message is received at the message service message proxy, which determines whether a message service message forwarding feature is enabled for the first destination. If a message service message forwarding feature is enabled for the first destination, it is determined whether the mobile terminated message service message is eligible for forwarding to a second destination. If the mobile terminated message service message is eligible for forwarding, signaling is initiated to forward the mobile terminated message service message to the second destination.

A traffic gadget is a dynamic object defined by a relatively small code module that is separate from the main traffic report application code. A programmer develops the traffic gadget's visual functionality and specifies the type of data that the traffic gadget can receive. An artist configures the visible appearance of the traffic gadget for a specific end-user application. The end-user may then select a traffic gadget and add the selected traffic gadget to a visual traffic report. The user may also select data to control the functionality of the traffic gadget during the traffic report.

Abstract: A system for brewing a desired portion of a beverage, such as a single-cup portion of coffee, is provided. The system may have more than one brew module. The system allows a user to quickly and easily brew a variety of types of single-cup portions of a beverage. In some embodiments, the system may brew a single-cup portion of coffee in a relatively short period of time based on a combination of certain parameters. The system may include an automatic cleaning mechanism such that a user does not need to manually clean components of a brewing machine between brew cycles. The system may also include apparatus configured to substantially prevent steam from reaching grinder components of the system. The system may also include apparatus configured to provide a precise dose of material based on, for example, volume of the material. Methods and apparatus for brewing a beverage are also disclosed.

Abstract: A system and method are provided for increasing the width of an existing roadway. The system incorporates a reverse-oriented retaining wall and soil nail supports. The retaining wall is formed by a first set of soil nails, wire mesh material, and one or more geotextile material layers. An alternate embodiment forms the retaining wall with a plurality of concrete blocks stacked and spaced to form a block wall. The blocks are mounted over the first set of nails and can be filled with mortar. Backfill material fills a gap between the existing sloping surface and the retaining wall. A second set of soil nails can be provided for additional subsurface support. An upper surface of the backfill material can be paved to form the extended roadway width. The cantilevered configuration of the reverse-oriented retaining wall provides a solution for a less costly retaining wall structure.
