Abstract: A multi-compartment bottle is provided, the bottle comprising a body defining a plurality of compartments, with each compartment being adapted to contain an amount of a liquid. A neck finish, integral with the body, has an outer surface which defines an opening for and in communication with each respective compartment. Each opening is adapted to allow dispensing of the respective liquid therethrough. The outer surface of the neck finish defines a groove configured to discretely separate the openings such that the groove prevents liquid dispensed from one opening from entering another opening. The openings are further arranged so as to collectively define a substantially circular outer periphery for the neck finish. A closure system for the bottle comprises a plug for and configured to be separably engageable with each respective opening.
Abstract: A serum-free insect cell culture medium is provided which provides improvements in the maximum insect cell density and replication of insect viruses within these cells, at a significantly lower cost than commercially-available media. A method is provided for preparing a lipid emulsion for use in insect culture media for large scale culture, and which produces a more stable emulsion with a longer shelf life. The method is preferably carried out by combining in an organic solvent a surfactant and a mixture of lipids to make a lipid phase, heating the lipid phase to a temperature of 40 to 70 degrees Celsius to form an anhydrous lipid phase and adding an aqueous phase thereto to provide a stable lipid micro-emulsion.
Abstract: Dye preparations comprising, based in each case on the weight of the preparation, from 0.1 to 30% by weight of one or more dyes from the class of the mono- or polyazo dyes containing no acidic groups, from 0.1 to 20% by weight of a dispersant based on an arylsulfonic acid-formaldehyde condensate or from 0.1 to 20% by weight of a water-soluble dispersant based on alkoxylated phenols with or without water, and their use as inks in the inkjet process and for textile sublimation transfer printing.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a powder coating composition and a method. The method improves the color strength of a cured film of the powder-based coating composition. To produce the powder-based coating composition, the method begins by combining a powder-based binder, specifically a resin and a cross-linking agent, with a pigment and a surfactant to form a mixture. The mixture is then extruded thereby forming an extrudate of the mixture. The extrudate is cooled and then ground to produce the powder-based coating composition from the extrudate of the mixture. Next, the powder-based coating composition is spray applied to a substrate and cured to form the cured film. The surfactant in the mixture improves the color strength of the powder-based coating composition and the cured film so that the amount of pigment included in the mixture can ultimately be reduced. Additionally, certain physical properties of the cured film are not compromised.
