Abstract: An orthosis is supplied to the human or animal body in order to perform a supporting or movement-guiding function. The orthosis here damps or limits the flexion or extension movement of a limb joint, such as the elbow joint, knee joint, etc., and describes the prophylactic and therapeutic use of the orthosis. The manner of its attachment and placement is described.
Abstract: The invention relates to a flexible support element for an orthosis, made of a link chain with several identical chain links, overlapping each other, firmly coupled in each case by a common bearing pin while limited by each other, which are pivotable to achieve a flexibility of the support element.
Abstract: The invention relates to deflector (100) to deflect rope (130) in orthopedic or medical accessories, or athletic accessories, whereby the deflector comprises at least first subcomponent (110) and second subcomponent (120), whereby first subcomponent (110) and second subcomponent (120) are adjustable, respectively, with only one degree of freedom against one another, and whereby first subcomponent (110) and second subcomponent (120) exhibit, respectively, at least one rope guidance element (111, 112, 121, 122) to deflect rope (130).
Abstract: The invention relates to a recliner-type orthosis comprising a lap belt or pelvic strap (30), a rigid recliner rail (10) over the spinal column, and two individually tightenable shoulder straps (23, 24), each of which extends from a lower portion (12) of then recliner rail (10), forms a shoulder strap, and is guided backwards via guides (18, 19) on a top portion (14) of the recliner rail (10), where the two shoulder straps (23, 24) intersect in a central point of intersection (29) and then run contralaterally towards the front, intersect in lateral points of intersection (27, 28) and can finally be tightly attached to the lap belt (30).
Abstract: The present invention relates to coupling elements to couple belts, particularly abdominal belts and tension bands. The coupling elements can particularly be used for belts of braces or orthoses.
Abstract: Elements for at least partially viscoelastic medical products, or for at least partially viscoelastic orthopedic aids, and for at least partially viscoelastic medical products are provided. In addition, at least partially viscoelastic orthopedic aids are provided that contain such elements, or that consist of such elements and the use of such elements.
Abstract: A pad for a bandage or orthosis has a front surface and a rear surface. At least a subarea of the rear surface has connection pieces which form a mesh structure having interstices.
Abstract: A flexible closure element for a closure of a medical or orthopedic product or sports product includes a first and second elastic cover layer and a sheet-type stabilizing element therebetween. The sheet-type stabilizing element is slotted over a least half of a length of the stabilizing element on at least one of two longitudinally running edges.
Abstract: A polymer composition comprising a polymer and at least one active substance selected from the group consisting of a substance generating an occlusion, in particular a substance generating an internal occlusion or a substance generating an external occlusion; a moisturizing substance; a substance reducing pain or itching; and mixtures of these.
Abstract: A bandage for the back or pelvis has adjacent pads mounted on an inner face of a supporting piece in a back area of the bandage, respectively one fastener strap piece for applying the bandage by joining together the ends of the two fastener strap pieces attaching at the opposite edge regions of the supporting piece, and two tensioning belts being assigned to the supporting piece, which are guided in such a manner that the pads approach each other when tensioning the tensioning belts and apply a pressure dependent on a tension force acting on the tensioning belts onto the relevant body part.
Abstract: Textile with an adhesive effect containing at least one stitch-forming adhesive thread. The adhesive thread has a component that imparts an adhesive effect at least at a surface thereof.
Abstract: An articular support for supporting bones connected to one another by joints, includes at least one support splint, which is structured in at least two segments. The support splint has at least one guide per segment to receive a reinforcing element for longitudinal coupling of the at least two segments and coupling means for transverse coupling of this support splint to at least one additional neighboring support splint.
Abstract: A medical aid for supporting the function of the knee joint, in particular a knee joint orthosis with a pad engaging around the patella of the knee joint. An improved patellar pad has the additional function of supporting movement and has additional preventive/therapeutic functions.

Abstract: The invention relates to a patellar tendon bandage comprising a bandage element having an inner face and an outer face and two first pressure pad bodies on the front inner face of the bandage element for building up an infra-patellar pressure. According to the invention, the patellar tendon bandage has, in addition, at least two second pressure pad bodies on the inner face of the bandage element, said two second pressure pad bodies being positioned at the sides of the two first pressure pad bodies.
