    Abstract: An internally ventilated brake disc includes at least two friction rings, which are held apart from each other by ribs, and air blades, which are fastened to the brake disc and which extend essentially from the inner circumference of a friction ring in the radial direction by a defined amount in the direction of the axis of rotation of the brake disc. The air blades function to deliver a cooling air flow through the space between the friction rings when the brake disc is rotating. The air blades are formed by one or more sheet metal part(s) that is or are connected to at least some of the ribs. This connection can be by material bonding or can be shape locking or force locking. The air blades are machined out of a sheet metal ring and, thus, form an integral sheet metal part, wherein the sheet metal ring is provided with a plurality of clamps or clips for a shape-locking connection to the ribs and is not formed so as to be closed.

    Abstract: A process and system are provided for determining fuel consumption of a motor vehicle. A first mean fuel consumption, which cannot be reset under a user's influence, is determined. A second mean fuel consumption, which can be reset under a user's influence, is determined as a function of several measured values. A third mean fuel consumption is determined as follows: (a) at the beginning of a predefined time period, which starts with a resetting of the second mean fuel consumption, the third mean fuel consumption is set to be equal to the first mean fuel consumption; (b) between the beginning and the end of the predefined time period, the third mean fuel consumption is set to be a weighted mean of the first mean fuel consumption and the second mean fuel consumption; and, (c) starting at an end of the predefined time period, the third mean fuel consumption is set to be equal to the second mean fuel consumption. A signal indicative of the third mean fuel consumption is provided.

    Abstract: An actively ventilated vehicle seat includes a lower air-impermeable seat cushion or backrest part, an air-permeable intermediate layer made of a spacer fabric and an upholstered cover. The vehicle seat is divided into upholstered areas which are delimited from each other by seams anchored at the air-impermeable seat cushion. Air bridges are provided which extend transversely to the seams for connecting the intermediate layer between the individual upholstered areas. An unobstructed seat ventilating system and a permanently secure attachment of the seams are achieved in a simple manner in terms of production and without affecting the seating comfort in that the air bridges are integrated all around into the air-impermeable seat cushion and the seams are anchored above the air bridges in the air-impermeable material of the upholstered part covering the air bridges.

    Abstract: A twin scroll exhaust gas turbocharger for an internal-combustion engine, includes a turbine housing and a first and a second gas inlet port separated from one another by the turbine housing. The inlet ports lead into a first and a second spiral duct, respectively, which extend radially on the outside around an exhaust gas turbine rotatable about an axis. The gas inlet ports are arranged at least in sections parallel to one another in the turbine housing and radially with respect to the axis of rotation in a mutually spaced manner. The first spiral duct, which connects to the first gas inlet port arranged closer to the axis of rotation, extends up to 180° around the exhaust gas turbine. The second spiral duct, which connects to the second gas inlet port farther away from the axis of rotation, extends up to 180° around the remaining circumference of the exhaust gas turbine. As a result, thermal stress to the turbine housing is significantly reduced.
