Abstract: Technologies are provided for dynamically changing a size of a cache region of a storage device. A storage device controller writes data to the cache region of the storage device using a particular storage format. The storage device controller then migrates the cached data to a storage region of the device, where the data is written using a different storage format. A dynamic cache manager monitors input and output activity for the storage device and dynamically adjusts a size of the cache region to adapt to changes in the input and/or output activity. The dynamic cache manager can also adjust a size of the storage region. The storage device controller can automatically detect that the storage device has dynamic cache support and configure the storage device by creating the cache region and the storage region on the device.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a system includes base stations and a server. Each base station has a respective fixed position, and is configured to broadcast information that a mobile station can use to determine a position of the mobile station. And the server is configured to communicate with the base stations and to track a position of a mobile station. An example of such a system is an Aeronautical Mobile Airport Communications System (AeroMACS), which includes base stations that are located in respective fixed, known positions within and around an airport, and at least one server that communicates with the base stations and tracks the positions of moveable stations within and around the airport. The base stations can provide information that allows both GNSS-enabled and non-GNSS-enabled mobile stations to determine their positions without adding significant cost or complexity to the AeroMACS.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for versioning data generated by a network tool to provide compatibility across different versions of the network tool. In some embodiments, a method can include generating network assurance data including network events by a first instance of a network tool at a first specific version state. A version identifier uniquely corresponding to the first specific version state can be appended to the network assurance data. A query for the network assurance data can be received from a second instance of the network tool at a second specific version state. Subsequently, access to the network assurance data can be provided to the second instance of the network tool according to a version constraint for data generated by the network tool using the version identifier uniquely corresponding to the first specific version state and appended to the network assurance data.

Abstract: A system comprises a ground hub and a mobile airborne platform hovering over or close to a coverage area on or near the earth surface. A bistatic radar receiver on the airborne platform includes a first antenna system to capture reflected radiofrequency signals originated from a satellite via reflected paths from the coverage area; and a second antenna system to transmit the reflected radiofrequency signals to the ground hub via a feeder link. At the ground hub, a multibeam antenna system receives the reflected radiofrequency signals and captures radiation signals directly from the satellite via a direct path; and a remote beam forming network remotely forms receiving beams for the first antenna system. A remote radar processing center includes a cross-correlator to receive the reflected radiofrequency signals and the radiation signals as two input signal streams, perform cross-correlations between the two input signal streams, and output an output signal stream.

Abstract: A method of curing a protective overcoat layer on the outermost portion of an organic photoconductor drum using dual curing process is provided. The first curing step applies either ionizing irradiation, such as with an electron beam or by gamma rays or applies non-ionizing irradiation such as ultraviolet light to the overcoated photoconductor drum. A mask or shield is sized to be placed over the print area of the initially cured photoconductor drum, thereby exposing the outermost edges of the photoconductor drum. The outer edges of the masked photoconductor drum is then exposed to a second curing step using non-ionizing irradiation such as ultraviolet light.

Abstract: A mobile computing system for accessing data moves between a first geographic location where internet access is not available and a second geographic location where internet access is available. The mobile computing system receives a query from a computing device at the first geographic location, retrieves data associated with the query from the mobile computing system and provides the data to the computing device in response to the query if the data associated with the query is available in the mobile computing system at the first geographic location, stores the query in the one or more memory modules if the data associated with the query is not available in the mobile computing system at the first geographic location, executes the stored query at the second geographic location and retrieves data associated with the query from the internet, and stores the data in the one or more memory modules.
Abstract: A display may have an array of pixels. Due to the presence of a notch in the display, the display may have some rows that are shorter than other rows in the display, and accordingly different gate line loading. To account for the gate line loading variations, the display driver circuitry may have gate driver circuits that provide different gate line signals to different rows of pixels within the display. In other arrangement, luminance adjustment circuitry may receive image data and generate corresponding compensated image data to account for gate line loading variations between rows of pixels in the display. The image data may be compensated based on the location of the pixel, the gray level of the image data, the display brightness, and/or temperature.
