  • Patent number: 10574787
Abstract: A system, method and computer-readable medium for request routing based on content popularity information are provided. A client computer transmits a request for content from a content provider. The content provider utilizes executable code, such as translation request code, for facilitating request routing utilizing popularity information. The translation request code, may direct a client computing device to request further translation request code and/or translation information. Thereafter, the client issues a DNS query with the translated information including popularity information. The content delivery network service provider can then either resolve the DNS query with an IP address of a cache component or transmit another alternative resource identifier that will resolve to the content delivery network service provider. The process can repeat until a DNS nameserver resolves a DNS query from the client computing device.

  • Patent number: 10568759
Abstract: Systems for treating a subject's tissue can include a thermally conductive cup, a tissue-receiving cavity, and a vacuum port. The vacuum port is in fluid communication with the tissue-receiving cavity to provide a vacuum for drawing the submental tissue, or other targeted tissue, into the tissue-receiving cavity. A thermal device can cool and/or heat the conductive cup such that the conductive cup non-invasively controls the temperature of subcutaneous lipid-rich cells in the tissue. A restraint apparatus can hold a the conductive cup in thermal contact with the target region.

  • Patent number: 10570674
Abstract: In an oilwell produced by a downhole pump operated by the reciprocation of a string of rods disposed within a string of tubing, a system connects an upper section of the string of rods to a plunger assembly. The system has an upper mechanism attached to the upper section of the string of rods, where the upper mechanism has a housing member having an internal bore section having an approximate inverted conical profile. The upper mechanism has a slip member which is configured to be received into the inverted conical profile. A lower mechanism attaches to the plunger assembly. The lower mechanism has an upward end comprising a pin which, upon engagement by the upper mechanism, is received into the slip member and firmly retained within the slip member. Once the pin is engaged within the slip member, the pin is retained within the slip member until it can be manually released.

  • Patent number: 10572261
Abstract: A task identifier-based mechanism is configured to temporarily disable a dual-issue capability of one or more threads in a superscalar simultaneous multi-threaded core. The core executes a first thread and a second thread which are each provided with a dual-issue capability wherein up to two instructions may be issued in parallel. In response to a task identifier being received that is indicative of a task requiring an improved level of determinism, the dual-issue capability of at least one of the first thread or the second thread is temporarily disabled.

  • Patent number: 10572445
Abstract: A system and method for migrating data objects based on portions of the data objects is described. The system may transfer portions of files, folders, and other data objects from primary storage to secondary storage based on certain criteria, such as time-based criteria, age-based criteria, and so on. An increment may be one or more blocks of a data object, or one or more chunks of a data object, or other segments that combine to form or store a data object. For example, the system identifies one or more blocks of a data object that satisfy a certain criteria, and migrates the identified blocks. The system may determine that a certain number of blocks of a file have not been modified or called by a file system in a certain time period, and migrate these blocks to secondary storage.

  • Patent number: 10568751
Abstract: A method and devices for relieving pressure in the left atrium of a patient's heart is disclosed. The method includes using an ablative catheter in a minimally invasive procedure to prepare an opening from the coronary sinus into a left atrium of the patient's heart. Once the opening is prepared, the opening may be enlarged by a technique such as expanding a balloon within the opening. A stent is then placed within the coronary sinus of the patient, with a transverse portion expanding within the opening, allowing blood to flow from the left atrium to the coronary sinus and then to the right atrium. Pressure within the left atrium is thus relieved.

  • Patent number: 10572518
Abstract: One or more processing devices derive values indicative of various aspects of how a particular service in an information technology (IT) environment is performing at a point in time or for a period of time. The values are derived by a search query over machine data associated with the one or more entities that provide the service. The one or more processing devices define and apply time varying static thresholds in respect to the values. A user (e.g., IT manager) may be enabled to manipulate or define multiple sets of KPI thresholds that vary over time.

  • Patent number: 10572938
Abstract: A trading strategy may be controlled according to determining whether the order quantity for each leg of the trading strategy satisfies a certain condition. The quantity for each of the orders of the trading strategy, including the quantity of the initial order and subsequent orders, is compared to a corresponding risk value. When the order quantity for each of the orders is less than the corresponding risk value, the initial order can be sent. When the order quantity for any of the orders exceeds the risk value, the initial order is not sent. Quantity associated with the trading strategy is held or reserved for execution of the trading strategy regardless of the activity taken by the trader since initiating the trading strategy. The reserved quantity can be drawn from the trading strategy until the quantity is depleted, the trading strategy has ended, or both.

  • Patent number: 10572464
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for managing a file system includes a plurality of allocation areas of loaded allocation trees to serve a request per file system drive for a transaction group. The system also includes a module configured to move a loaded allocation tree to an unloading tree in the event the loaded allocation tree will not satisfy the request. The system additionally includes a module configured to select and place in a loading tree queue a most eligible unloaded tree based on a weight of each unloaded tree. The system further includes a module to asynchronously process the loading tree queue and an unloading tree queue threads parallel to a storage pool allocator sync process. Allocation areas are attached in a circular ring of loaded allocation trees. Space map trees are converted into fixed size areas for constant latency loading logs and creating index trees.

  • Patent number: 10572573
Abstract: A document preview system provides previews of a native document to client devices. To generate the preview of a document, the document preview system generates a preview document that presents the native document in a browser-compatible format including elements that correspond to fields in the native document. The document preview system also identifies a mapping between fields of the native document and the elements of the preview. The document preview system also identifies a formula listing for the elements of the preview code. When a user edits a document, the edits may be committed to the document preview system and in parallel generate a preview to update the user's display. When an updated preview is available, the updated preview is rendered in a hidden frame and the user's input context is captured and reproduced when the updated preview replaces the prior preview.
