Abstract: An electrical apparatus for killing insects has vertically disposed, concentrically arranged mesh electrodes interconnected by suitable switching means to a source of high voltage. The electrodes are supported at their lower ends by individual insulators establishing the lower ends of the electrodes both mutually spaced from each other as well as from the surrounding apparatus enclosure parts. These insulators are located entirely outwardly of the space between the mesh electrodes so that the region below the space between the electrodes is free of obstructions such that electrocuted insects will not be able to collect on the insulators and form an electrical short.
Abstract: A speed slip-on type of hose coupler structured to enable ready coupling and uncoupling of the male and female coupler bodies by way of an interlocking means for the coupler bodies and a releasing device for the interlocking means. The interlocking means comprises a unitary or one-piece locking element having locking portions connected by a resiliently arcuately expansible portion.
Abstract: A self-aligning mechanism for swivel caster comprising a carriage supported for rotation about a predetermined axis, a wheel mounted on the carriage for rotation about an axis at right angles to said predetermined axis and a coiled spring yieldable means interconnecting the carriage and support yieldably holding the carriage in a predetermined position of rotation relative to the axis and structured to permit the carriage to rotate continuously in either direction relative to said axis.

Abstract: A device for attaching display material to a bottle and a process for making the device are disclosed. The device includes a booklet and a flexible bottle-engaging means connecting the booklet to a bottle. The flexible bottle-engaging means is attached to the bottle and the booklet so as to urge the booklet against the bottle. The device can be made by a continuous process that involves feeding an information carrying web and a flexible web, gluing the webs together, forming a booklet out of the information carrying web, and then severing the web to form individual devices.
Abstract: Bland, white, neutralized casein is formed by heating a slurry of casein granules and neutralizing the casein with a magnesium or potassium base. The casein granules are preferably produced by mixing acid milk casein granules with a heated neutral salt solution, e.g., magnesium or potassium salts, to form a coagulum. The coagulum is separated from the salt solution and then treated with the magnesium or potassium base.
Abstract: In the method of producing koji for use in making soy sauce wherein a koji culture is grown on a koji mixture containing soy beans and cereal grain, an improvement is provided comprising providing a koji mixture with 18% to 40% moisture; inoculating the mixture with koji culture; forming a bed of the mixture to a depth of 8 to 50 inches in a receptacle having a perforated bottom, airflow means communicating with the perforated bottom for forcing room air through the bottom and through the receptacle, temperature sensing means in the bed and actuating means for actuating the airflow means in response to the temperature sensing means; controlling the room air between 5.degree. C. and 38.degree. C. and the relative humidity above at least 50%; controlling the temperature of the bed within the range of 15.degree. C. to 42.degree. C.
