Abstract: A bezel-less display is disclosed that includes an electronic display device and a cover. The electronic display device has an image-displaying portion and another portion adjacent the image-displaying portion along at least one side. The cover is positioned adjacent the electronic display device and includes a first portion positioned adjacent the image-displaying portion of the display device and a second portion positioned adjacent the other portion of the display device. The optical properties of the first portion are also selected to transmit images displayed on the image-displaying portion and the optical properties of the second portion are selected to mask the other portion of the display device.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for the provision of data for transmission and/or storage, the transmission and storage of data, and, more particularly, to data coding for transmission and/or storage and to decoding of received and/or accessed or retrieved coded data. In an embodiment of the invention, data is assembled into coded data structures comprising a plurality of fields that, e.g., may contain actual or implied field values, and data associated therewith that relates to the plurality of fields. Encoding and decoding of the data may take place with reference to one or more associated data models, and a coded data structure according to this embodiment may contain content only (field values and data identifying the structure). This allows for a reduction in size of the data structure as compared to, e.g., a data structure comprising program code or all data needed to describe the data in the data structure.

Abstract: A system and method are provided, embodiments of which comprise encrypting input data based on authorization from an application program launched on a local computer device by a user. The encrypted input data that is generated by the user is sent to a network communication interface associated with the local computer device for transmission to a remote computer device. At the remote computer the received input data is decrypted, whereby based on the decrypted input data the remote computer generates encrypted response data that is associated with the decrypted first data. The encrypted response data is sent from the remote computer to the local computer, where the encrypted response data is received via the network communication interface associated with the local computer and decrypted. The local computer displays the decrypted response data on a display.

Abstract: Systems and methods provide for data transfer and transmission according to a synchronous one-bit interface protocol. A bit stream is generated including first data to be transferred or transmitted and second data from which a clock period used to encode the first data may be extracted. The bit stream is provided to a processor for decoding. In one embodiment, the bit stream includes a start segment or sequence, a data segment and a stop segment or sequence. A clock period is encoded into and is extracted from the start and/or stop sequences. The data segment is decoded on the basis of the clock period.

Abstract: A computer keyboard provides for one or more of processing, interfacing, input/output control with respect to the computer and/or one or more devices coupled to the keyboard, and/or for control of one or more devices coupled to the keyboard. The keyboard comprises at least one processor, and may also include one or more busses and/or other devices, that, individually in cooperation, perform such functions. In one embodiment, the processor receives telephony signals from the computer and provides telephony signals to the computer, performing the processing necessary to support telephony functions such as conversion of audio signals. Audio signals from computer sound cards and other audio signal sources may be mixed with telephony signals in keyboards according to the invention. Displays and associated input devices incorporated by the keyboard are provided to control telephony and other keyboard processor functions.

Abstract: A system, method and computer program product are described for providing the execution probability of a limit order within a given time period based on historical and current information and for adaptively and dynamically adjusting to intra-day trade data. For a given financial interest, the frequency of trade execution, the time evolution of the price, the time evolution of the trade volume, and the current state of the market, among other parameters, are captured and/or calculated. A probability function is generated based on the parameters corresponding to various time spans, and the execution probability of a limit order within a given time period is provided. Embodiments of the invention can be employed to estimate the probability of a limit order being executed within a given time period in the future, e.g., the next two minutes, based on the parameter data of a given time period in the past, e.g., the previous five minutes.

Users may monitor their net foreign exchange (“FX”) exposure in different currencies and on different value dates due to trading in foreign exchange, foreign currency-denominated equities, fixed-income securities, commodities, services, goods and other transactions involving foreign currency exchange. Various tools may be provided for monitoring and managing FX exposures across multiple trading platforms through ready access to FX liquidity sources as well as for conducting financial transactions involving foreign currency exchange, such as FX hedging or other types of transactions.

For example, in an embodiment of the invention, a report may comprise normalized expressions of one or more legal principles asserted in one or more cited opinions and information associated with the ongoing vitality of one or more the legal principles, the cited authority, or both.

The invention provides a user interface with which a data analyst can review, confirm, remove, modify, introduce, and link the tags, ultimately adding the information and links to a database and storing the source document in an electronic warehouse for future retrieval.

In embodiments that provide for adjustability in two axes, at least one second axis adjustable coupling is provided between the two locations to permit adjustment in a second axis. In these embodiments, the adjustment mechanism may be gimbal-like. In the preferred embodiments, adjustment in both axes is limited.

Abstract: A content distribution network with client side multicasting properties that operates with a reduced bandwidth is provided. The requested content, such as multimedia content, is provided in a format suitable for transmission over existing unicast communication links and is then changed to a multicast format for local distribution. This allows an application provider to transmit a single unicast stream of content to a client-side media server in a local area network (LAN) and then distribute it to multiple interested users within the LAN using a multicasting transmission format. This significantly reduces bandwidth requirements by providing a single unicast transmission to a LAN rather than supply each user within the LAN with a dedicated content stream.
