    Abstract: An active splitter circuit arrangement includes a first amplification module having a number of first input ports and first output ports. The first amplification module is configured to provide first stage amplification to a received input signal and produce from the amplified input signal a number of output signals, each substantially matching the input signal. Next, a number of second amplification modules corresponding to the number of output signals has a number of second input ports respectively coupled to the first output ports. Each second amplification module is configured to receive a control signal from the second gain control device, provide second stage amplification to a corresponding one of the number of output signals based upon the control signal and produce an amplified output signal.

    Abstract: Embodiments enable higher accuracy GNSS performance by generating local/regional ionosphere models tailored to specific local/regional areas of interest and by using location-based delivery of the local/regional ionosphere models to mobile GPS receivers. Different types and levels of reference locations (e.g., Cell ID (CID), Location Area Code (LAC), Radio Network Controller ID (RNC-ID), Mobile Country Code (MCC)) can be used to estimate the location of mobile GPS receivers and to deliver the appropriate local/regional ionosphere models to the mobile GPS receivers. According to embodiments, the local/regional ionosphere models are fit into the same 8-parameter set as the broadcast global ionosphere model, therefore being compatible with existing GPS receivers that accept the broadcast global ionosphere model.

    Abstract: A system for correcting a mismatch between an in-phase path and a quadrature path in a receiver, the system including one or more processors operable to correlate a received signal with a complex training sequence having periodic, uncorrelated real and imaginary components, thereby generating a complex correlation. The one or more processors estimate a gain mismatch and a phase mismatch based on the complex correlation over a unit period. The one or more processors control a first receive filter in the in-phase path via a first digital-to-analog controller, and control a second receive filter in the quadrature path via a second digital-to-analog controller. The cutoff frequency and bandwidth of the first receive filter is controlled independently of the second receive filter to enable the output of the first receive filter and the output of the second receive filter to be tightly matched.

The passive mixer is coupled to the output of the transconductance LNA and is configured to mix the RF current signal with a local oscillator signal to produce a frequency translated current signal. The gm-enhanced common-gate buffer is configured to receive the frequency translated current signal at an input and convert the frequency translated current signal to a frequency translated voltage signal. In an embodiment, the input of the gm-enhanced common-gate buffer is configured to provide a low input impedance to limit a voltage swing of the frequency translated current signal.

A navigation solution for the GPS enabled handset may be determined more accurately based on the adjusted LTO data.
