Abstract: A deck storage bin system has a hatch, a deck frame assembly that has an outer lip and an inner lip, a storage tub having a bottom surface, and at least one inner support. The hatch is moveable between the closed position and an open position. The outer lip of the deck frame is configured to engage a perimeter of a predefined aperture in a floor surface of a deck such that a portion of the deck frame assembly extends into the predefined aperture. The inner lip defines an opening and the inner lip is sized and configured to support the hatch when the hatch is in a closed position. The storage tub extends below the opening defined by the inner lip of the deck frame and is attached to the at least one inner support.
Abstract: A kit for a planter is disclosed that has a polygon shape and has a selected number of sides and a same selected number of corners. The kit includes a selected number of bottom corner brackets, a selected number of corner beads, a selected number of top corner brackets, a selected number of top frame corner brackets, and a selected number of pairs of spacer runners that each correspond to the selected number of corners. The kit also includes a planter tub sized to fit within a planter body. The brackets and spacer runners are configured to be connected together to form a skeleton to which boards can be attached to form the planter body.
Abstract: A roofing shingle comprising a base mat having a tab portion covered with granules and a headlap portion covered with a mask or film layer. An asphalt-based coating is applied to at least a top surface of the base mat. The film layer is adhered to the asphalt-based coating applied to the headlap portion and the granules are adhered to the asphalt-based coating applied to the tab portion. The film layer is adapted for preventing granules from adhering to the headlap portion of the base mat and, as such, the headlap portion may be substantially free from any granules adhered thereto. A method for manufacturing a roofing shingle is also provided wherein granules that are not adhered to the tab portion of one shingle may be collected and reapplied the tab portion of another shingle.

Abstract: A spring clip that has a first portion and a second portion. The first portion has a base with at least one aperture and a resilient flange portion that extends away from and above the base and faces a first direction. The second portion has at least one tubular extension that extends through the at least one aperture of the first portion beyond the base and engages the first portion. The at least one tubular extension has an aperture such that the at least one aperture in the first portion and the aperture in a second portion have a common axis. In addition, the flange portion can be compressed from a first position to a second position over the base and when the flange portion will move toward the first position when it is released from the second position. An installation tool is provided for inserting the spring clip into a longitudinal cavity of a railing section.
Abstract: An adjustable gate has a gate panel, a pivoting plate attached to the gate panel, a mounting plate, and a pivot pin. The pivoting plate and the mounting plate each have a base and two parallel sides attached to the base and each of the parallel sides have a triangular shape and one side is substantially similar in shape to the other side. Each triangular shaped side has an apex and a pivot pin hole near the apex. The pivot pin passes through the pivot pin holes in the side of the pivoting plate and the sides of the mounting plate and connects the pivoting plate to the mounting plate.
Abstract: A universal skirt board has a base, a top flange section, an overhang section, and a sealing flange attached to the top flange section. The base has at least one ridge extending away from the base in a first direction, and a projection extending in the first direction. The top flange section is attached to the base. The overhang section is also attached to the base and defines a drip edge. The sealing flange is attached to the top flange section. The at least one ridge is formed to rest on a top of a base board. The projection is formed to fit into a slot defined in the top of the base board to provide an interference connection.
Abstract: A starter block and a shingle are utilized to form courses that may be positioned in overlapping fashion on a roof to form a roofing covering system. The particular design of the starter block and shingle result in a roofing product that provides increased durability over previous designs. The starter block may be formed with top and bottom surfaces, opposite side surfaces with tapering heights, and a front surface having a greater height than a back surface of the starter block. When the starter block is coupled to a roof deck, a semi-rigid shingle having a generally planar bottom surface may be placed upon the starter block so that a portion of the shingle extends off of the starter block over the back surface thereof and onto the roof deck to facilitate contact between the shingle and the roof deck at a location more proximal to the starter block back surface than if the same back surface had the same height as the front surface.
Abstract: A thermal clip attachment apparatus and methods for using the thermal clip attachment with a masonry veneer anchor system are disclosed. The thermal clip attachment may be a composite piece that attaches to the part of a stud that protrudes from an inner structural supportive wall after the stud is advanced into the wall. The thermal clip attachment serves as a thermal break between the stud and an outer masonry veneer wall. Further, the thermal clip attachment also serves as an attachment point for a wire tie, which allows a positive lateral load connection to be established between the outer masonry veneer wall and the inner structural supportive wall.
Abstract: The tile installation system provides a system for installing an architectural covering material to a substrate surface utilizing a plurality of release sheets where each release sheet has a top side surface and a bottom side surface. A plurality of discrete adhesive substrate portions are positioned on the top side surface of the release sheet, wherein the top side surface of the release sheet has a stronger bonding affinity with the plurality of adhesive substrate portions than the bottom side surface.

Abstract: The installation system and method for installing an architectural covering material to a substrate surface utilizes an adhesive mat having layers of adhesive and release layers arranged to allow the covering material to be initially positioned, and later repositioned to be permanently set. The adhesive mat includes a planar carrier member, one or more adhesive layers on at least one planar side of the planar carrier member, and at least one release layer of material removably covering the one or more adhesive layers. In one form, the adhesive mat includes a carrier sheet, first and second adhesive layers on opposing planar sides of the carrier sheet, and first and second release layers of material removably covering the two adhesive layers.
