  • Patent number: 4993307
Abstract: A present electronic musical instrument is applied to an electronic wind instrument and an electronic keyboard instrument. At least one piece of pitch difference data representing an arbitrary pitch difference with respect to a first pitch that is to be designated by a pitch designation section is stored in a memory section. Before or during a musical performance, the pitch difference data is selected, and an original tone having the first pitch and a coupler tone having a pitch different from the first pitch are simultaneously generated with a pitch difference corresponding to the selected pitch difference data. The timbres of the original tone and the coupler tone may be set different from each other.

  • Patent number: 4986157
Abstract: The present invention relates to an electronic musical instrument with a fret-split function, which is used in electronic stringed instruments such as an electronic guitar, electronic violin, guitar synthesizer. Fingering areas provided on a finger-board are divided on the basis of a particular fret among a plurality of frets provided on the fingering areas. Specific tone colors are assigned to these fingering areas thus divided, respectively. Fingering operation on fingering areas to which specific tone colors are assigned allows to generate a musical tone having a tone color previously assigned.

  • Patent number: 4985878
Abstract: A case member is coupled to a plate member so as to be movable between an opening position and a closing position with respect to the plate member. A switch input section is mounted on the upper surface of the plate member. An analog display unit for displaying time with hands is arranged on the upper surface of the case member. An electrooptic data display unit for displaying data is arranged on the lower surface of the case member. An electronic circuit for driving the analog display unit and the electrooptic data display unit is housed in the case member. The switch input section on the plate member is electrically connected to the electronic circuit of the case member. Data input from the switch input section to the electronic circuit is processed thereby and is displayed on the electrooptic data display unit. When the case member is set at the closing position, only the analog display unit is exposed.

  • Patent number: 4982643
Abstract: An automatic composer comprises an input unit which inputs a melody forming part of a music piece and a chord progression of music, a melody analyzer which extracts parameters characterizing the input melody and a melody generator which develops a melody forming the remainder of the music piece. There is further provided a database of musical knowledge which is used by both of the melody analyzer and generator. Because the common musical knowledge is applied to both of melody analysis and synthesis, the synthesized melody will be well fit for the input melody. The knowledge in the database is managed by an editor through which a user may change the stored knowledge to what is desired. In order to take the full advantage of the chord progression for music composition, there is provided a musical structure extracting device which determines key and hierarchic structures in music from the chord progression.

  • Patent number: 4983996
Abstract: A data recording apparatus for a still camera has a microphone to which an external voice is input. A voice signal of the input external voice is converted into a bar-code pattern data by a pattern converter and then recorded onto a silver-salt film through LC-cell. A developed pattern data on a photograph is read out by a bar-code reader and decoded into the original voice signal. A voice corresponding to the decoded voice signal is generated through a speaker.

  • Patent number: 4984274
Abstract: When a speech sound of at least a predetermined sound pressure is externally input while a time measurement is not being performed, a time measuring circuit starts a time measurement responsive to a signal from a speech detector. When another speech sound of at least a predetermined sound pressure is externally input while a time measurement is being performed by the time measuring circuit, a measurement time measured by the time measuring circuit at this moment is stored in a time information memory. After a predetermined time has elapsed, if a speech recognition circuit recognizes that the externally input speech sound is a "stop" command, the time measurement operation performed by the time measuring circuit is stopped, and the time information stored in the time information memory is read out and displayed as measurement time information on a display unit.

  • Patent number: 4982423
Abstract: A large number of name and telephone number numerical data can be stored in a RAM, and a reservation flag which represents whether a call is made or not can be set for each telephone number numerical data. A time mode for displaying time, a search mode for sequentially displaying all telephone number data stored in the RAM, or a reservation mode for displaying only the telephone number data having a reservation flag can be selectively set upon operations of switches SW1 and SW3. A dialing tones generator and a speaker are arranged to convert the displayed telephone number data into dialing tones and output the converted dialing tones.

  • Patent number: 4980219
Abstract: A carrier tape has a plurality of rows.times.a plurality of columns of IC device holes and two pairs of sprocket holes. A plurality of finger leads extending into each IC device hole and a conductive lead for connecting all of the finger leads are formed on the carrier tape. While the carrier tape is conveyed with feed teeth of a sprocket being meshed with one pair of sprocket holes, the finger leads and the conductive leads are formed, and solder is plating on both of the leads. Only in a bonding step, the carrier tape is conveyed with the feed teeth of the sprocket being meshed with the other pair of sprocket holes. Since the sprocket holes used in the bonding step are not deformed, highly precise positioning of IC devices required in bonding can be efficiently achieved.

  • Patent number: 4977812
Abstract: A system for automatically determining principal tones of an accompaniment line supporting a melodic line comprises a plurality of principal tone inference engines which after principal tones in accordance with different rules of inference from one another and a priority control which controls priorities among the plurality of inference engines to determine final principal tones in the accompaniment line. Each principal tone inference engine may include a condition checker which checks to see whether musical conditions are met and a principal tone generator which generates principal tones. The priority control monitors the information supplied from the condition checkers to select final principal tones supplied from the principal tone generators. Some of the final principal tones may be dependent from the preceding principal tone while some others may be independent. There may be also be provided a storage of the structure of music which is reflected in a series of the final principal tones.
