  • Patent number: 4975168
Abstract: A method of forming a transparent conductive thin film by sputtering includes the step of placing a target consisting of a conductive oxide material and a substrate on which the thin film is to be formed in a pressure vessel, the step of supplying argon gas and oxygen gas after the pressure vessel is substantially evacuated, the step of supplying a sputtering current to the target to maintain a discharge state, the step of detecting the partial pressure of oxygen in the gas mixture in the pressure chamber, and the step of controlling the flow rate of oxygen gas. The flow rate of the oxygen gas is controlled by a control unit such that the value of the partial pressure of oxygen which is detected in the partial pressure detection step is always kept constant.

  • Patent number: 4975835
Abstract: Data divided by delimiters representing the boundaries of the data is stored in a data memory. Instructions each including designation of a delimiter are stored in an instruction register. A control circuit decodes an instruction output from the instruction register, and repeats processing of the data read out from the data memory in accordance with the decoded instruction every time the data is read out therefrom. A delimiter detector outputs a coincidence signal when it detects that a delimiter which coincides with the delimiter in the instruction is present in the data read out from the data memory. When this coincidence signal is input to the control circuit, the control circuit ends the processing which has been performed in accordance with the instruction.

  • Patent number: 4972755
Abstract: A plurality of pad operating means for manual operation are provided on a keyboard panel of an electronic keyboard musical instrument. When an operator operates the pad operating means using the keyboard during melody play, an operation signal is supplied to a CPU, and a rhythm sound corresponding to the operated pad is generated under control of the CPU. An automatic sound signal generator is provided for generating and outputting sound signals according to a designated rhythm, and selectively stops such sound signal generation. A sounding system is provided for sounding the signals received thereby.

  • Patent number: 4970935
Abstract: External sound signal coupled through a MIC IN terminal is fed through an operating switch panel section to an A/D converter for conversion to a digital signal. The digital signal is stored in a record memory through a waveform R/W controller under the control of a CPU. The digital signal stored in the record memory is read out from the CPU according to control data stored in a work memory to be fed to an external sound system for sounding.

  • Patent number: 4969054
Abstract: A hand-held manually sweeping copier is manually swept over a medium so as to obtain image data corresponding to image information on the medium via an image sensor of a CCD type or the like. The image data obtained via the image sensor is arranged in order, in accordance with the sweeping direction of the copier, and stored in a memory, the addressing of which is controlled in accordance with the sweeping direction of the copier. In addition, the copier prints the image data on a printing medium, i.e., a plain paper, while the copier is being manually swept across the printing medium.

  • Patent number: 4966051
Abstract: An effect tone generating apparatus can generate an effect tone of an appropriate pattern such as the murmur of a brook or songs of birds, at an arbitrary timing with a simple operation. Since the tone volume of an effect tone can be gradually increased or decreased and the tone volume can be independently controlled in units of channels using a plurality of channels, the audible impressions created by the effect tones can be improved.

  • Patent number: 4966445
Abstract: A magnetic apparatus includes a magnetic semiconductor thin film, a power source for generating an electric field, an electrode for supplying charge from the power source to the magnetic thin film, a polarizer for linearly polarizing light emitted on the magnetic semiconductor thin film in a specific direction, and an analyzer for transmitting polarized light when the polarized light upon transmission through the magnetic semiconductor thin film has a specific Faraday rotational angle. When the electric field is applied to the magnetic semiconductor thin film, the magnetic order-disorder transition temperature of the film is changed to change a Faraday rotational angle. The light is transmitted through or shielded by the analyzer in correspondence with the Faraday rotational angle.

  • Patent number: 4965566
Abstract: In a signal electrode drive circuit of an image display apparatus, the latch pulses are sequentially shifted for a plurality of latch circuits so as to sequentially latch the digital image data, and the signal electrode of the dot-matrix type display panel is driven by the signal having a plurality of gradation, based upon the digital image data latched in the latch circuits. The image input data are alternately read out via the buffer circuits by two-phase clock pulses, the input data are transferred to the latch circuits in response to the two-phase clock pulses, and, as a consequence, image data of higher transfer frequency can be satisfactorily processed.

  • Patent number: 4964947
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of manufacturing a double-sided wiring substrate wherein wiring patterns having a low resistivity are formed on both surfaces of a substrate. A pin hole is formed in a thin insulating film having excellent durability by a pin. A thin metal film is formed on the upper and lower surfaces of the insulating film and the inner wall of the pin hole by vacuum deposition. A thick metal film is formed on the entire thin metal film by electroplating. Thereafter, portions of the thin and the thick metal films formed on the upper and lower surfaces of the insulating film are etched while leaving a portion of them on the inner wall of the pin hole. Conductive patterns each having a layered structure of the thin and the thick metal films are thus formed on the upper and lower surfaces of the substrate.

  • Patent number: 4962910
Abstract: In a device for use to prevent skin from sunburns according to the present invention, critical values concerning sunburns corresponding to a plurality of Sun Protection Factor values are displayed upon inputting of a user's skin-type data. Accumulative ultraviolet-radiation doses as measured over predetermined time intervals are compared with the critical values concerning sunburns corresponding to the above mentioned Sun Protection Factor values. Alarm sounds are activated calling the user's attention to prevent his or her skin from sunburns, every time each of the critical values coincides with the measured radiation doses.
