  • Patent number: 5025348
Abstract: A bonding structure and a bonding method for connecting an IC unit having an insulating sheet to connecting terminals arranged on a substrate. The insulating sheet has an elongated opening which is formed along one side of said insulating sheet and has on its one surface a plurality of conductive metal leads adhered thereto which stretch over the elongated opening. Portions of the metal leads which stretch over the elongated opening are solder-plated to serve as connecting portions. The connecting portions of the metal leads are heated and pressed into the opening with use of a heat-pressing head which has a width narrower than the opening, thereby being soldered to the connecting terminals. The metal lead is formed with inclined parts at its positions corresponding to both sides of the portion depressed by the heat-pressing head and solder pools are formed between the inclined parts and the connecting terminals.

  • Patent number: 5024134
Abstract: A plurality of strings are extended along a surface of a body, and an operation by a player with respect to the strings is detected by two detection systems. The first detection system is operated when a string vibration is started, and electrically obtains an operated fret position of the string by detecting an ON/OFF operation of a switch arranged below each fret. The second detection system is enabled after the first detection system is enabled, and directly measures a pitch period of the string vibration. The second detection system detects a change in pitch by a choking operation or an arming operation of a tremolo arm with respect to the string after tone generation is started.

  • Patent number: 5025413
Abstract: In a data processing apparatus including a single delete key, in accordance with a cursor position when the delete key is operated, a selection is made as to whether to execute a so-called "delete function" where the data indicated by the cursor is deleted, or a so-called "back delete function" where the data just before the cursor-indicated data is deleted. When the cursor indicates the data subsequent to the end data, the back delete function is executed. In other cases, the delete function is executed.

  • Patent number: 5018428
Abstract: An electronic musical instrument extracts a pitch from an input waveform signal by a pitch extracting circuit, and directs a sound source circuit to generate a musical tone at the pitch based on the extracted pitch. The sound source circuit electronically generates musical tones at the pitches according to the performance. The pitch extracting circuit obtains fundamental period of the input waveform signal by detecting the time interval (t1) between these first two zero-cross points after two positive peak points of the input waveform signal are detected, by detecting a time interval (t2) between first two zero-cross points after two negative peak points of the input signal waveform are detected, or by detecting both the time intervals (t1, t2).

  • Patent number: 5018427
Abstract: An input waveform signal is first converted into a compressed waveform signal by log-conversion. The compressed waveform signal is then converted into a digital compressed waveform signal so that a pitch of the input waveform signal is extracted from the digital compressed waveform signal. Note-on/off states of a musical tone to be produced are controlled in accordance with the level of the digital compressed waveform signal and a predetermined threshold. The attenuation period of the input waveform signal and, thus, the note-on time, can therefore be prolonged to correspond more closely with the actual playing of an instrument from which the input waveform signal is obtained.

  • Patent number: 5019209
Abstract: A carrier tape has a plurality of rows.times.a plurality of columns of IC device holes and two pairs of sprocket holes. A plurality of finger leads extending into each IC device hole and a conductive lead for connecting all of the finger leads are formed on the carrier tape. While the carrier tape is conveyed with feed teeth of a sprocket being meshed with one pair of sprocket holes, the finger leads and the conductive leads are formed, and solder is plating on both of the leads. Only in a bonding step, the carrier tape is conveyed with the feed teeth of the sprocket being meshed with the other pair of sprocket holes. Since the sprocket holes used in the bonding step are not deformed, highly precise positioning of IC devices required in bonding can be efficiently achieved.

  • Patent number: 5018429
Abstract: Waveform data is read out from a memory which stores the waveform data at a rate corresponding to a designated pitch. The readout data is supplied to digital filters, and two or more different filtering operations are executed in the digital filters. Two or more waveform data obtained as a filtering result are synthesized at a rate determined in response to a breath input signal output from a breath sensor, and the synthesized data is output as a musical tone waveform signal. The filter performs the filtering operation while a cut-off frequency is changed in response to the breath input signal.

  • Patent number: 5018430
Abstract: Initial touch data or after touch data is obtained by operating a play input unit, such as keys or strings. A musical tone whose timbre or volume changes by the touch data is obtained. A tone generator has a plurality of sound source lines. Desired waveform data is selected by the touch data for each line. Only one type of the selected waveform data that is segmented at a touch split point is outputted for each line. The musical tone may be detuned by finely staggering the reference frequency, for each line. An envelope waveform may be applied to the musical tone for each line.

  • Patent number: 5018066
Abstract: A data processing system according to the invention comprises a system controller and a plurality of ECRs connected to the system controller. Each ECR has a keyboard for inputting sales data per slip number (kind). The ECR obtains the subtotal per kind of the input sales data. The subtotal is transmitted to the system controller. The controller receives the subtotal data per slip number which is transmitted from the ECR and stores the subtotal data per slip number. When an additional registration is performed, the ECR receives the subtotal data regarding the slip number from the system controller and adds the additionally registered sales data to this subtotal data. The controller stores this newly obtained data as the subtotal data regarding the slip number. When the subtotal data is transmitted to the ECR and the process regarding this subtotal data is being executed in the ECR, the system controller doesn't transmit this subtotal data to the other ECR until the process ends in the ECR.

  • Patent number: 5014589
Abstract: A pitch is extracted from an input waveform signal, and a musical tone having a corresponding tone pitch is generated. In this case, a signal intensity at the leading edge of the input waveform signal is detected to determine a tone volume of the musical tone. A change degree of the signal intensity at the leading edge of the input waveform signal is detected to determine a timbre of the musical tone. As a result, the tone volume and the timbre of the output musical tone can be independently controlled in accordance with a music performance manner, and an improvement of a performance effect is expected.

  • Patent number: 5013402
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of manufacturing a double-sided wiring substrate wherein wiring patterns having a low resistivity are formed on both surfaces of a substrate. A pin hole is formed in a thin insulating film having excellent durability by a pin. A thin metal film is formed on the upper and lower surfaces of the insulating film and the inner wall of the pin hole by vacuum deposition. A thick metal film is formed on the entire thin metal film by electroplating. Thereafter, portions of the thin and the thick metal films formed on the upper and lower surfaces of the insulating film are etched while leaving a portion of them on the inner wall of the pin hole. Conductive patterns each having a layered structure of the thin and the thick metal films are thus formed on the upper and lower surfaces of the substrate. The "roll-to-roll system" that is, every step of manufacturing is performed by unrolling and feeding the insulating film rolled up around the roll, can also be applied.

  • Patent number: 5010799
Abstract: An electronic keyboard instrument has a plurality of key displacement sensors disposed in relation to respective keys of a keyboard. Each sensor detects a continuously variable key displacement induced by the key operation to provide an analog signal indicative of the displacement. An analog-to-digital converter digitizes the analog signal at a predetermined sampling rate to derive a stream of digital samples of key displacement. A control, which operates based on a predetermined tone control algorithm receives and analyzes the stream of digital samples. According to the analysis, tone parameters such as envelope and vibrato are produced for controlling the characteristics of a tone, so that a tone having a very dynamic key touch response is developed. In a preferred embodiment, there are provided a plurality of tone control algorithms adapted to process the stream of key displacement samples in manners different from one another.
