  • Patent number: 4750120
Abstract: A cash register system has a memory for storing the present time data counted by a time counting circuit and the present date data, and a memory for storing date changing data indicating a changing range of a data changing time with respect to a date renewal time on a calender day. When all the sales data are read out from a total memory and calculated in a total manner, the present time data and the date changing data, which are read out from the said memory means by a CPU, are compared with each other. When the former is not within the latter, the present time data is output as the date data of total calculation data. On the other hand, when the former is within the latter, the present date data is modified to have another date data, and the latter data is output as the date data for total calculation data.

  • Patent number: 4749875
Abstract: In compact card-like equipment having an IC chip and a power source cell, an equipment case has a multilayered structure of a pair of upper and lower sheets and a pair of upper and lower panels laminated on a frame, respectively. A flexible substrate and a paper-like cell as a primary cell are provided in the equipment case. The paper-like cell has a pair of positive and negative electrode sheets and a power generating unit interposed therebetween. A sealing member seals the peripheries of the electrode sheets of the paper-like cell. The paper-like cell is received in a receptacle space formed in the frame. The flexible substrate is received in another receptacle space formed in the frame. The electrode sheets of the paper-like cell are electrically connected to terminals of the flexible substrate by means of a film-like connecting member. This compact card-like electronic equipment such as a calculator is thin and compact in size.

  • Patent number: 4745430
Abstract: A temperature control device uses a thermo-sensitive element to detect the temperature of an imaging system heated fixer device member. A comparator compares the potential generated by the thermo-sensitive element corresponding to the detected temperature with a reference voltage to set the temperature of the heated member to a predetermined level. A signal representing the comparison result is used for controlling the temperature of the heated member. Any abnormality of the heated member is detected on the basis of the output signal from an oscillator producing a signal which changes the reference potential at predetermined periods and from the comparator output signal.

  • Patent number: 4745576
Abstract: According to an image memory address assignment system, a frame memory is divided into a plurality of blocks. Upper bits of the address of the frame memory constitute a block address, and lower bits constitute an intrablock address. The block address is supplied to an address converter. The address converter has a conversion pattern ROM. The conversion pattern ROM stores conversion patterns each converting the input write address signal block address to a block address for a completely read block area so as to perform simultaneous read and write access even if the data read direction (order) of the frame memory is different from the data write direction. The address converter supplies the write block address to the frame memory. As a result, the data can be written in the completely read block.

  • Patent number: 4744097
Abstract: A data transmission system includes a data transmitter/receiver connected to an ECR and a data processor. The transmitter/receiver receives data from the ECR and transmits the reception data to the data processor, and includes a storage means for storing the reception data as transmitted data after the reception data is transmitted. The data processor is connected to the transmitter/receiver and continuously processes data from buffer memories for storing data sent from the transmitter/receiver. The transmitter/receiver sends the transmitted data again after a power supply for the data processor is recovered.

  • Patent number: 4742351
Abstract: An IC card is inserted in an IC card terminal. Under this condition, the PAN data read out from the IC card is compared with the decrypted PAN data for identification purposes. Then, the IC card is removed from the terminal. The PIN data input to the IC card is compared with the PIN data prestored in the IC card. The results of the comparison are used to identify the validity of the IC card, the terminal, and the card owner.
