  • Patent number: 4695828
Abstract: An electronic apparatus for entering pattern data by activating a matrix array of keys with a finger. Pattern data may be input by drawing a pattern data on the keys. The time interval between depression of one key till the depression of a different key while a pattern data is being drawn, is measured by a register. The time interval being measured is symbolically displayed on a display section. Time data representing the time interval being measured is compared with a reference time interval in a comparator. When the coincidence of the two data being compared is detected, the pattern data that has been input by drawing the pattern is displayed on the display section.

  • Patent number: 4694723
Abstract: A keyboard type electronic musical instrument in which note data and duration data are read out from a memory in accordance with the progress of a musical piece, and a control circuit (CPU) turns on display devices provided for individual keys on a keyboard in response to note data, thus training a player to operate keys specified by the display devices. The control circuit counts each instance of noncoincidence between a key represented by the note data and an operated key on the keyboard, and obtains deviations between a key operation timing defined by duration data and the timing of key operation on the keyboard. After the end of a performance, the control circuit informs the player of the number of the mis-key operations or the accumulation of key operation timing deviations by means of the display devices. A number of display devices corresponding to the accuracy of the performance are lit.

  • Patent number: 4691608
Abstract: A CPU reads out sampled waveform data stored in a waveform memory and detects a peak value of the read-out data for each predetermined block using working registers, thereby obtaining an interpolated envelope curve. The CPU then divides the sampled waveform data by the interpolated envelope curve to obtain a normalized sound waveform without any envelope in an original sound signal.

  • Patent number: 4692887
Abstract: A circle and circular arc generator has a digital differential analyzer (DDA) for receiving coordinates on and a radius of a circle having its center at a specific point and for generating x and y coordinates on a circle having its center at the origin. THe DDA has a carry detecting section for correcting the x or y coordinates for plotting an ellipse. The x coordinates and the radius of the circle are supplied from the DDA to a subtracter which adds and subtracts the input data to obtain x coordinates of rightmost and leftmost points of the target circle. The x and y coordinates from the DDA are incremented by incrementers and decremented by decrementers so as to obtain four points on the target circle which are symmetrical about the specific point.

  • Patent number: 4688899
Abstract: A liquid crystal apparatus has first and second liquid crystal substrates opposing each other. Segment electrodes are formed on the inner surface of the first substrate. Common electrodes are formed on the inner surface of the second substrate. Seal members seal a liquid crystal composition in a predetermined region between the segment electrodes and the common electrodes. Light shutters are formed by these electrodes and the liquid crystal composition sealed therebetween. In order to reduce influence of a hysteresis effect in the liquid crystal composition when a high frequency electric field is applied, the liquid crystal composition has a dielectric scattering phenomenon in which its dielectric anisotropy in response a low frequency electric field is larger than the absolute value of its dielectric anisotropy in response a high frequency electric field.

  • Patent number: 4677569
Abstract: A computer controlled by a voice input has a speech recognition section for converting a keyword of a program which is entered by the voice input and corresponds to a start number, thereby obtaining a digital code. The digital code data which indicates the keyword selects the start number corresponding to the storage content of a table stored in a program memory. The start number data is used to access a start address of the corresponding program, thereby starting and executing the program. Also disclosed is a system wherein when a chosen key of a key input device is operated while a voice operator guidance is generated, a key-in signal is produced to forcibly stop the ongoing guidance. In particular, when a plurality of voice operator guidances are provided, the computer learns the state of the operation by the operator from the manner of the forcible stop, and automatically stops the generation of the voice guidance on a specific item from the next processing.
