  • Patent number: 7844302
Abstract: A mobile communication terminal obtains analysis result from analysis of various information included in a received e-mail. The mobile communication terminal determines whether the received e-mail satisfies a notification condition based on the analysis result, and analyzes the importance degree of the received e-mail. If the received e-mail is an important e-mail satisfying the notification condition, the mobile communication terminal notifies the user that the e-mail is received irrespective of whether its cover is opened or closed. If the received e-mail is a non-important e-mail not satisfying the notification condition, the mobile communication terminal limits notifying the user that the e-mail is received until the cover is opened, i.e., the content of the e-mail is checkable by the user. This makes it possible to restrict notifying the reception of the e-mail depending on the e-mail's importance degree, while preventing the user from missing any e-mail of high importance.

  • Patent number: 7835766
Abstract: In a situation where a plurality of “telephone numbers” as subscriber numbers and “fixed IDs” fixedly assigned to the “telephone numbers” in association with each other are stored and managed in a telephone number table, in a case where an arbitrary site is accessed using one of the “fixed IDs” as information on an accessing party, when registration of an “URL” of this site in a favorites table is instructed, a CPU registers one of the “fixed IDs”, which is stored and managed in the telephone number table, in association with the “URL”. When an access to the registered site is instructed thereafter, the CPU accesses the site using the “URL” associated with the registered site and the “fixed ID”.

Abstract: This invention improves the convenience of viewing three-dimensional image displays. A mobile communications handset can accomplish three-dimensional image displays using image data received by a communications unit and a broadcast reception unit through a display unit provided with a parallax barrier panel. A control unit automatically performs actions to record the image data as an auxiliary recording while the three-dimensional image display is being performed when the three-dimensional image display is performed using the received image data. That is to say, recording of image data relating to the three-dimensional image display is performed automatically in preparation for cases where the display cannot be viewed three-dimensionally due to viewing conditions.

  • Publication number: 20100245369
Abstract: The mobile communication terminal comprises a first casing and a second casing carrying a first display part and a second display part, respectively. The first display part and the second display part are each capable of 3D display. The controller of the mobile communication terminal detects the mobile communication terminal being opened vertically or horizontally and detects the opening angle between the first casing and the second casing. In the 3D display in the horizontal opened state, the visibility of the 3D display is altered as the opening angle is changed. Therefore, the controller of the mobile communication terminal calculates the viewing angle according to the detected opening angle and changes the parameters for the 3D display, whereby excellent visibility is maintained even if the opening angle is changed.

  • Patent number: 7805157
Abstract: In a wireless communication terminal, information from a wireless communication unit is decoded by a communication control unit and analysis information is acquired. A content reception judgment unit instructs the communication control unit to terminate a content receiving process if a mobile radio environment corresponding to transmission rate information of the contents, included in the analysis information, is below a content reception threshold stored in a content reception threshold storage unit. Thus, the wireless communication terminal can judge that the possibility of a failed reception is high before content reception, and needless power consumption can be prevented and power consumption reduced by not performing reception.

  • Patent number: 7805163
Abstract: Upon detection to connection to a cradle, a control section of a mobile communication terminal accesses a storage section to determine whether setting information indicating operation settings of various functions is stored therein. When setting information is stored therein, the control section turns on power of the mobile communication terminal and controls the respective sections to execute an operation according to the setting information. While, no setting information is stored therein, the control section performs a charging operation without turning on power of the mobile communication terminal. Then, upon detection of release of connection to the cradle, the executed operation is finished based on the setting information.

  • Patent number: 7787871
Abstract: A cellular phone 100 registers incoming call histories in which other party telephone numbers are correlated to own telephone numbers which received a call in an incoming call history accommodation section 14b. It is judged whether or not the other party telephone number to which a call is made is the other party telephone number from which a call was received previously with reference to the incoming call histories when transmitting a call. If the other party telephone number is an other party telephone number which was received previously, the own telephone number which was used at that time is extracted from the incoming call histories and a call transmission is made. Accordingly, this enables preventing the error in using different plurality of own telephone numbers.

  • Patent number: 7777785
Abstract: An operability in performing an image correction process on a picked-up image of an object shot at approximately the same shooting angle is improved and a process time is shortened. A CPU in a cellular phone extracts the contour of the object from one of a plurality of picked-up images sequentially picked up in a sequential image pickup mode, and calculates correction data to be used in image correction based on the extracted contour. Thereafter, the CPU performs an image correction process on the plurality of picked-up images picked up sequentially to correct the distortion of the image of the object included in each picked-up image, using the calculated correction data.

  • Patent number: 7778276
Abstract: A mobile communication terminal receives and reproduces a television broadcast from a broadcasting device, and determines any error in the packets making up the received stream data. Based on the continuity of determined error packets, the mobile communication terminal groups the packets to determine the packets for which a retransmission request is to be made. When a user instructs complementary reproduction, the mobile communication terminal sends information indicating the designated packet group to a distribution device through a mobile communication network to request packet retransmission. The distribution device transmits the packets included in the packet group to the mobile communication terminal. When receiving stream data transmitted from the distribution device through the mobile communication network, the mobile communication terminal reproduces the received retransmitted stream data at higher bit rate than normal reproduction rate.

  • Patent number: 7756638
Abstract: A control unit obtains a current position of a mobile phone by using a GPS receiver during the operation of the navigation function, while detecting a style of a device body based on detection of an opening/closing sensor. The control unit determines whether to perform route guidance or to perform direction guidance based on the detected style of the mobile phone. When the mobile phone is in “open style”, the control unit displays a detailed navigation screen including route indicating map images on a main display, while displaying a simple direction guidance on a sub display when the mobile phone is in “closed style”.

  • Patent number: 7756349
Abstract: Provided are an image processing apparatus and a computer-readable storage medium capable of adjusting to an optimum bit rate. In a case where an average bit rate is smaller than a target bit rate, a mobile communication terminal sets an encoding parameter for high image quality in an internal register of an encoding parameter manager to increase the bit rate. In a case where the average bit rate is larger than the target bit rate, the mobile communication terminal sets an encoding parameter for low image quality in the internal register of the encoding parameter manager to reduce the bit rate. Therefore, the mobile communication terminal can encode YUV data at an optimum bit rate.

  • Patent number: 7748635
Abstract: In a cellular phone, a central control section generally locks a noncontact IC card function as an invalid state. When an ID of an external device to which the cellular phone approaches is already registered in a registration list, the central control section releases the lock to execute electronic payment processing. After that, the central control section locks the noncontact IC card function as the invalid state. Meanwhile, when the ID of the external device is not registered yet, in the case that a user instructs to release the lock, the central control section releases the lock to execute the electronic payment processing. When the external device is not registered yet, the ID of the external device is automatically registered in the registration list.
