  • Patent number: 11821914
Abstract: A notched test signal is generated across a frequency band, the notched test signal includes a plurality of frequency notches, each frequency notch associated with one of a plurality of test frequencies. The notched test signal is provided to a device under test at a plurality of different input power levels. An notched output signal is received from the device under test. The notched output signal is filtered to provide a bandpass response at the plurality of test frequencies to generate a filtered notched output signal. A power level of the filtered notched output signal at each of the plurality of test frequencies is measured. A noise performance metric associated with the device under test is determined based at least in part on the power level of the filtered notched output signal.

  • Patent number: 11824760
Abstract: Both wireless communication and communications via a cable modem are supported between a network node and a customer premises. Alternative communications links provide redundancy and the possibility to take advantage of the different types of links capacity to provide a level of service that would not be possible using a single communications link to a customer premises. In various embodiments a network node, such as a cable network node hubsite, has an optical connection to the Internet or another communications network and provides network access to one or a plurality of customer premises. The network node includes a wireless access point, e.g., pole mounted base station, as well as one or more cable modem interfaces to thereby allow for both wireless and cable modem based communications. This allows for packets of different applications to traverse different links and/or to switch between links in the event of maintenance or reliability issues.

  • Publication number: 20230360062
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for determining a credential sharing of a video streaming service account based on entropy of streaming data is described. The method includes determining an account entropy based on a viewing probability distribution for a total amount of content streamed for a defined account within a defined analysis period, grouping the total amount of content streamed into groups based on an account-stream characteristic that has probabilistic utility in determining the credential sharing, determining a group entropy for each of the groups, determining a watch-time variability based on the account entropy and each group entropy, and determining the credential sharing for the defined account based on the watch-time variability. The watch-time variability measures an increase in disorder when two or more groups of the groups are unrelated with respect to the account-stream characteristic.

  • Patent number: 11809416
Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments providing query validation with automated query modification. In particular, the embodiments provide a computing system that receives a query and determines the query is sensitive. The computing system iteratively modifies the query until the query is not sensitive by modifying the query to increase a scope of the query, updating estimated query results based on the query as modified, and determining whether the query as modified is sensitive based on the estimated query results as updated. Upon determining that the query as modified is not sensitive, the computing system proceeds with the query as modified. Accordingly, the computing system improves query efficiency by automatically modifying a sensitive query.

  • Patent number: 11812278
Abstract: According to one configuration, a system includes provisioning hardware and a wireless station that supports communications with one or more communication devices. The wireless station receives a first notification from the provisioning system. The first notification indicating that the wireless station is assigned to a first allocation management resource. The first allocation management resource operable to allocate wireless resources for use by the wireless station to support wireless communications. The wireless station communicates with the first allocation management resource to receive allocation information indicating the wireless resources allocated for use by the wireless station. In response to receiving a second notification that the wireless station has been reassigned to a second allocation management resource, the wireless station communicates with the second allocation management resource instead of the first allocation management resource to receive the allocation information.
