Abstract: The present invention relates to the phosphono-alkylamino-substituted tetrazole derivatives of formula I ##STR1## and tautomers thereof wherein R.sub.1 is (carbocyclic or heterocyclic) aryl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl; X is phenylene, phenylene substituted by lower alkoxy, lower-alkyl, halogen or trifluoromethyl or X.sub.1 is ethynylene; R.sub.2 is carbocyclic or heterocyclic aryl; pharmaceutically acceptable mono- or di-ester derivatives thereof in which one or both of the acidic hydroxy groups of the phosphono functional group are esterified in form of a pharmaceutically acceptable mono- or di-ester, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof; pharmaceutical compositions comprising said compounds; methods for preparation of said compounds and for the preparation of intermediates; and methods of treating disorders in mammals which are responsive to the inhibition of endothelin-converting enzyme by administration of said compounds to mammals in need of such treatment.
Abstract: The instant invention relates to a lubricant composition stabilized against the deleterious effects of heat and oxygen. The composition comprises a triglyceride oil or an oil which is an ester wherein unsaturation is present in either the alcohol moiety or the acid moiety and an effective stabilizing amount of either an N,N-disubstituted aminomethyl-1,2,4-triazole or an N,N-disubstituted aminomethylbenzotriazole; a higher alkyl substituted amide of dodecylene succinic acid; a phenolic antioxidant; and an aromatic amine antioxidant. Further additives can be added to these lubricant formulations.
Abstract: Novel single-chain hybrid plasminogen activators having an amino acid sequence composed of at least two subsequences corresponding in amino acid identity and number to subsequences of human t-PA and of human u-PA, and mutants thereof in which at least one of the N-glycosylation sites is modified such that glycosylation cannot take place at these sites exhibit valuable pharmacological properties. The hybrid plasminogen activators are produced by recombinant DNA technology.

The compounds of the formula (I) are effective in stabilizing an organic material against thermal, oxidative and light-induced degradation.

Abstract: A process is described for the preparation of photopolymerizable compositions, wherein the photopolymerizable compositions can be photopolymerized by the irradiation of emission lines of differing wavelength from a UV/VIS laser light source, and contain a photopolymerizable compound and at least two photoinitiators, by adjusting the sensitivity to radiation. The ratio between the concentrations of the individual photoinitiators is so adjusted that the composition has virtually the same optical density for the radiation of the different emission lines at which the photoinitiators are effective.

Abstract: Soluble and thermally stable benzotriazole UV absorbers typified by those of formula I ##STR1## where R.sub.1 is hydrogen or chloro, R.sub.2 is alkyl or --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 COOR.sub.4 where R.sub.4 is hydrogen, alkyl or alkyl substituted with hydroxyl, and R.sub.3 is .alpha.-cumyl, provide excellent light stability protection to electro coat, base coat or clear coat finishes. The new soluble, crystalline form of 2-(2-hydroxy-3-.alpha.-cumyl-5-tert-octylphenyl)-2H-benzotriazole is particularly effective.
