Abstract: The invention relates to a novel flame retardant-nanofiller combination for thermoplastic polymers, which comprises, as component A, a phosphinic salt of the formula (I) and/or a diphosphinic salt of the formula (II) and/or polymers of these, 1
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the preparation of (metal) salts of alkylphosphonous acids, which comprises reacting elemental yellow phosphorus with alkyl halides in the presence of carbonates, bicarbonates, amides, alkoxides, amine bases and/or solid hydroxides as bases.
The invention also relates to the use of the (metal) salts of alkylphosphonous acids prepared by this process.
Abstract: Compounds of the formula (I):
in which X1=H or F, X2=H or F, and Y=Cl, Br or I, are prepared by reacting, in a solvent or solvent mixture at a temperature below −60° C., a halobenzene of the formula (II) with an organic lithium compound and then with a formyl equivalent of the formula (III):
and may be used as starting materials for preparing agrochemicals, electronic materials and pharmaceuticals.
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the preparation of (metal) salts of alkylphosphonous acids, which comprises reacting elemental yellow phosphorus with halogen-free alkylating agents in the presence of at least one base.
The invention also relates to the use of the (metal) salts of alkylphosphonous acids prepared by this process.
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the preparation of alk(en)ylphosphoric ester salts which comprises reacting the alk(en)ylphosphoric esters in the form of their melts with a base. Advantageously, the alk(en)ylphosphoric esters do not need to be dissolved in a solvent prior to neutralization.

Abstract: Disclosed is a fuel oil composition comprising a middle distillate having a sulfur content of up to 0.05% by weight and reaction products of
A) mono- or dicarboxylic acids of 6 to 50 carbon atoms and
B) primary, secondary or tertiary amines of the formula
NR1R2R3
where R1 is branched alkyl of 3 to 18 carbon atoms and R2 and R3 are independently hydrogen, R1 or alkyl of 1-12 carbon atoms.
Abstract: The invention provides a process for preparing arylpoly(oxalkyl)benzyl-dimethylammonium derivatives of the formula (1)
which comprises reacting compounds of the formulae (2) and (3)
where

Abstract: The invention relates to laundry detergents and cleaners comprising microdisperse, hydrophilic silicate-containing particles. The particle diameter of the particles is preferably 1 to 500 nm. The addition of the silicate-containing particles leads to improved soil release with a simultaneous reduction in the tendency for resoiling.
