Abstract: The present disclosure provides tooth whitening oral care compositions comprising potassium peroxymonosulfate having improved stability, and methods of using the same.
Abstract: This invention relates to oral care compositions, for example comprising a salt of a basic amino acid having a pH in solution of less than 7.5, an abrasive having a pH in solution of less than 7.5, and a fluoride ion source, and an acid selected from the group consisting of: a carboxylic acid (e.g., citric acid, lactic acid, glycolic acid, acetic acid, succinic acid, or fumaric acid), and an inorganic acid, wherein the inorganic acid is not phosphoric acid or sulfuric acid (e.g., wherein the inorganic acid is hydrochloric acid or sodium acid pyrophosphate), and to methods of using and of making these compositions.
Abstract: Oral care compositions and methods for treating, preventing, or inhibiting dry mouth and/or inflammation of the oral cavity or a surface thereof are disclosed. Oral care compositions for improving oral care by treating, preventing, or otherwise inhibiting discomfort, irritation, or gum pain of the oral cavity are also disclosed. The oral care composition may include an orally acceptable vehicle, hyaluronic acid, and one or more benefit agents. Abstract: The present disclosure provides a tooth whitening strip comprising a hydratable adhesive film comprising an inorganic salt of peroxymonosulfate, preferably an alkali metal salt or alkaline earth metal salt, or mixtures thereof, and methods of using the same.
Abstract: Described herein, are personal care compositions comprising taurine in combination with arginine and glycine, and methods for using the compositions to effect reduction of skin irritation and or inflammation, and/or improving barrier repair of the skin.
Abstract: This invention relates to sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS)-free oral care compositions with improved foaming properties which comprise sodium lauroyl sarcosinate and a betaine, wherein the weight ratio of sodium lauroyl sarcosinate to the betaine is from 1:1.1 to 1:3.5, as well as to methods of using these compositions.
Abstract: In one embodiment, the present disclosure is directed to a method for producing a product. For each sample chemical composition of sample chemical compositions, the method inputs into a first model chemoinformatic properties of ingredients of the sample chemical composition, and a value of a property of the sample chemical composition. A new chemical composition is determined via the first model based thereon. The method inputs into a second model, for each sample product of sample products, a value for one or more visual properties of a packaging of the sample product, and one or more characteristics of the new chemical composition. A value is determined for each of the visual properties via the second model. A new product is produced comprising the new chemical composition and packaging comprising the values.

Abstract: An oral biology model which comprises biofilm, oral epithelial tissue and a suspension of neutrophil-like cells in media is disclosed. The biofilm, which comprises oral bacteria, is produced by culturing oral bacteria on a solid substrate. The oral epithelial tissue may be gingival epithelial tissue to model the gingival crevice or buccal epithelial tissue to model the oral check. The suspension of neutrophil-like cells in media comprises neutrophil-like cells that are differentiated HL60 cells induced to a neutrophil-like phenotype by treatment with retinoic acid. Methods of using the oral biology model to test and compare compounds and formulations or to screen compounds and formulations for their effect on release of inflammatory signals, their effect on biofilm and oral bacteria and/or their effect on the cellular components are disclosed.

Abstract: An aqueous cleansing composition comprising a cationic surfactant, a nonionic surfactant, and a thickener comprising an alkoxylated methyl glucose ether, wherein a weight ratio of cationic surfactant to nonionic surfactant is greater than 0.9:1. The combination of the cationionic:nonionic surfactant ratio with the alkoxylated methyl glucose ether thickener provides the composition with cold weather stability. Cold weather stability is observed when the composition remains transparent after cold storage.
