Abstract: A method of implanting a penile prosthetic in a patient includes providing an implantable cylinder with a resorbable component attached to an exterior surface of the implantable cylinder and a tow line engaged with the resorbable component. The method includes inserting the tow line into a corpora cavernosum of a penis, directing the tow line through a glans of the penis, and pulling on the tow line and moving the implantable cylinder into the corpora cavernosum of the penis. The method includes locating a distal end of the implantable cylinder in a distal location in the corpora cavernosum of the penis, and disengaging the tow line from the resorbable component.
Abstract: A medical dressing comprising an absorbent adhesive layer having a pharmaceutically active agent incorporated, the non-skin-facing surface being provided with a backing layer and the skin facing surface being interrupted by a pattern of cavities. The cavities provide a storage room and distribution centre for wound exudates enabling the dressing to be applied to fast exuding wounds and at the same time allows for an increased initial release of the pharmaceutically active agent.

Abstract: An artificial urinary sphincter system has a pressure reservoir attachable to a pump and a conduit attachable between the pump and a cuff. The cuff is formed as a one-piece monolithic polymer structure that is substantially circular in radial cross-section. The cuff has an interior wall connected by a pair of opposing end walls to an exterior wall and includes a closed cavity located between the interior wall and the exterior wall. The cuff has a part line that allows for placement of the cuff around a urethra of a user.
Abstract: A method of treating urinary incontinence includes providing a device having a cuff configured to coapt a urethra of a patient in treating diagnosed urinary incontinence, a pump, and a tube attachable between the cuff and the pump. The method includes providing the tube with a first lumen separated from a second lumen by a wall internal to the tube, and providing at least a portion of an exposed exterior wall of the second lumen to expand to provide the second lumen with an inflatable storage compartment.
Abstract: An inexpensive small-sized screen printing machine having low redundancy and high production efficiency and applicable to a dual conveying-type component mounting machine. A pair of substrate supporting tables juxtaposed in a specific direction is provided. Screen printing is alternately performed by a single print executing section in a common area which can be shared by the two substrate supporting tables. In doing so, when one substrate supporting table located at a print position among the pair of substrate supporting tables starts exiting the print position, the other substrate supporting table starts entry to the print position.
Abstract: An outlet (4) for a pouch (1) in a urostomy appliance is provided. The outlet has a valve with a valve housing (5) and a valve stem (6) that is movable in the longitudinal direction with respect to the valve housing. In a position of the valve stem, the stem can freely rotate with respect to the valve housing, so as to prevent kink and obstructions in a tube connecting the valve with a collecting bag. A urostomy appliance with an outlet is also provided.
Abstract: A method of implanting a penile prosthetic includes using a tool and grasping a penile prosthesis between a first jaw and a second jaw of the tool. The method includes inserting the first jaw and the second jaw and a portion of the penile prosthesis into the dilated corpora cavernosum, releasing the penile prosthesis from the jaws, and removing the jaws out the dilated corpora.
Abstract: A method of implanting a penile prosthetic includes providing a tool having a barrel with a first groove formed in an exterior surface of the barrel and a second groove formed in the exterior surface of the barrel; capturing opposing lateral edges of a deflated penile implant into the respective the first groove the second groove; placing the barrel of the tool and the deflated penile implant into a corpora cavernosum of a penis; removing the barrel from the corpora cavernosum of the penis and leaving the deflated penile implant in the corpora cavernosum of the penis.
Abstract: A tissue anchor system includes a support, a suture inserted through the support, an anchor having a fin forming an eyelet, where the suture is engaged with the eyelet of the fin. An introducer is provided having a cannula defining a bore sized to receive the anchor and a slot formed in a wall of the cannula, with the slot sized to receive the fin of the anchor.

Abstract: A convex shell for use in a base plate of an ostomy appliance includes an annular ring with a through-going hole and a plurality of grooves extending transversely across the annular ring. The grooves alter the flexibility of the annular ring as a first portion of the annular ring is folded around a folding axis toward a second portion of the annular ring.

Abstract: An ostomy appliance comprising a body side member (20) for attachment to a skin surface of a user. The body side member includes a backing layer (22), an adhesive layer (24), and at least one release liner (38). The release liner is at least partly embossed (40) to form interconnected cavities (42) between the release liner and the adhesive surface. When fluid is distributed into the cavities, the adhesive surface is wetted.
Abstract: A method of anchoring a support material to tissue includes forming an incision in a urogenital triangle of a patient for access to a pelvis of the patient; inserting a body portion of an anchor into a lumen in a cannula and having a spine portion of the anchor extending radially out of a wall of the cannula; and inserting a leading end of the cannula and the anchor into the incision. The method includes pushing the leading end of the cannula into periosteum tissue of the pelvis; engaging the spine portion of the anchor with the periosteum tissue; withdrawing the leading end of the cannula from the incision and leaving the anchor engaged in the periosteum tissue; and securing the support material to a suture that is attached to the anchor. The method includes delivering the support material through the incision to the pelvis.
Abstract: A catheter assembly includes a catheter packaged inside of a handle that is attached to a container. The catheter has a distal end portion that includes a valve. The valve includes a protrusion coupled to an exterior of a distal end portion of the catheter. The handle has a cavity with a flange is formed on an interior surface of the cavity. The flange is sized to engage with the protrusion coupled to the catheter, and the valve of the catheter opens when the protrusion of the catheter contacts the flange.
Abstract: An ostomy collecting bag is provided. The collecting bag has a continuous wall with a curvature instead of sealed edges. The collecting bag is truly three-dimensional. The collecting bag may be obtained by injection blow-moulding or extrusion blow-moulding. Methods of producing an ostomy collecting bags by either injection blow-moulding or extrusion blow-moulding is also provided. In injection blow-moulding, a pre-form is injection moulded and subsequently the pre-form is blow-moulded into an ostomy collecting bag. In extrusion blow-moulding, a tube is extruded and subsequently blow-moulded into an ostomy collecting bag. The ostomy collecting bag can thus be made without seals at the edges, which provides a more flexible collecting bag with a larger interior volume.
Abstract: A body side member of an ostomy appliance having backing film forming a distal surface, the distal surface including one or more individual pockets containing a moldable material that can exit the pockets.
Abstract: A penile prosthetic includes a penile implant sized for insertion into a dilated corpora cavernosum of a penis and an insertion sleeve. The penile implant includes a proximal tip that is insertable into a crus penis and an inflatable bladder connected to the proximal tip. The inflatable bladder has a first column strength and includes a distal tip that is insertable into a glans penis. The insertion sleeve is attachable to an outside surface of the inflatable bladder. The insertion sleeve is soluble in saline or water.
